I heard on the way home we conceded 9 penalties this season (a shocking statistic in itself), and they've all been scored.

When was the last time an ICT keeper save one? And how many have been scored against us since?

It's not like our keepers ever even get close.......or the opposition ever miss the target.

Surely the law of averages would suggest a save at some point!!!

I think what Michael's trying to say is that he dives to the kick-taker's right - ie - Fraser's left....  :014:

Correct .............. a superb save from Brown in our first SPL Season, with the rebound poorly defended by our surprised defenders.

Wrong. The penalty was saved but they scored from the corner that followed.

Why do we never save penalties..?

Mainly because these fiendishly cunning penalty takers always wait to see which way our keeper is going to dive before dispatching the ball into the opposite corner....   

100% correct! He completely sells himself and makes it easy. He should be reading the strikers run up to see where the balls going to go before he commits himself - rather than allowing the striker to read him and slot it in the other side.

All this nonsense about us being unable to keep out penalties... Does no-one remember the landmark away game at Falkirk in 2000 when our keeper heroically saved 2 penalties?

Don't know how this helps us solve our current crisis, mind you - Les as specialist penalty coach? Mikey to do some community service at church fetes around the Highlands until he sharpens up those relflexes?
