  1. I got my copy as a Christmas present, it's a terrific read for someone like me, a Sassenach, with no roots in Inverness or even Scotland, and for whom Caley first came to my attention on the 8th Feb 2000 and whose first live match was 20th October 2013 (v Partick). Reading it, brings home how incredible ICT's journey has been so far! And though I never got to see the likes of Tokely, Wilson, Sheerin and Wyness, let along Hayes, Rooney and (Charlie) Christie... these guys are all set in context, and I can see the overall picture. I must say it stirs the loins somewhat, and brings a tear to the eye, I can't wait for us to be rid of the damn pestulance, so that I can make my forays North again to see the boys in Red n Blue (or pink!)
  2. 1 point
Not the easiest of men but a very fine football coach who, after being sacked by Dundee, moved the couple of hundred yards to Tannadice to turn unheralded Dundee United into a genuine force in European football unbeaten in six competitive matches against Barcelona apart his other remarkable achievements. Scottish football is unlikely ever to see his like again.
  3. Players are soft nowadays. Took a lot more than a wee drop water to stop us back in the day. Just a bit damp around the penalty box. Game could have gone ahead in my opinion. Stay home eat sprouts and turkey stir fry yourselves until you burst. Enjoy the tier four restrictions. Keeps the family away I suppose, every cloud etc....
  4. Or greediness by clubs such as Hearts? Alloa was £12 last weekend and they use the same pixellot system as us, whereas we are £10. We seem to be the best value of the Championship clubs based on the charges for our away games to date.
  5. Cheers tm4tj, another enlightening preview. £14 to banish the post Christmas blues. I assume the different prices for PPV in the same division are due to the range of streaming services/providers?
  6. and, quite rightly, neither would tell you the agreed figure but it will be a very healthy six figure sum which will help tide us over during these extremely difficult times and might even release a little cash to strengthen during the January window.
