  1. Precisely C1C3, It was a 3rd level young Dumbarton team that really didn’t want to waste any time/effort in a Non-Cup competition. More than a few were /are happy to glorify the score as some sign of greatness in our management and players / squad that this league was not worthy of our presence. - The last three matches has brought home some sense of reality to the situation. I’m not too worried about a 0-0 result from the Cove game. In such farcical weather and pitch playing conditions I view gaining a point a success. (It also avoided (just), another record being recorded). Stenny made a clear statement however in their 5-0 over East Fife yesterday. Good, we have an exciting few months to look forward to in chasing and overtaking them. (QoTS may also make a challenge, time will tell). We have a few away games to face, however our time at home will show whether we can truely wear and carry the burden of promotion favourites. Certainly we have the squad and quality of players on paper that should full-fill that objective. Questions can and should be asked if it is not achieved. Until then we can only look for one of our many ‘top’ strikers to meet their part of the team ‘deal’, as the defence and midfield mostly can and do their part. bc
  2. I'm not sure what MacIntyre has done wrong. Thought he was our best player in the early part of the season.
  3. I do have concerns over Kellagher as a manager in that he doesn't seem to be able to change things when they aren't going our way. I think he chops and changes the team too much and doesn't seem to know his best team. The strikers are an example where Bavidge plays one week then Zimba the next, same with Sole and Longstaff. Fir me Bavidge and Sole have to start every week in the league as they give us much better options. Don't know if conditions played a part in team selection today but we really need to get on a winning run quickly.
  4. Another keeper with an injury time save. What a stop that is...
  5. The 9-0 win at Dumbarton was really an illusion that created the impression we were invincible. With lots of away games coming up, this will be a real test of character. In the circumstances this draw creates a base to rebuilt progress.
  6. We're starting to annoy/worry me a bit now. Scoring touch has deserted us just as the teams below us have picked it up and started to catch us up/overtake us.
  7. For heaven's sake, open it out! Utilise the wings!
  8. 0-0 FT. Plenty of possession again but just not scoring goals. 1 point from 9 whilst our promotion rivals have found form.
