  1. The topic of the thread's not the issue. RIG's constantly self-righteous attitude offends me just as much as the initial reason I posted. F@@#$ :001:
  2. So when does 'expressing your opinions' become 'attacking someone'? I'd like your definition so that I know for the future.... And I've not insulted anyone.
  3. You are posting your usual 'holier than thou' comments though...
  4. Come now Sophia - surely that borders on personal abuse and we all know you don't like it coming your way so why dish it out if you can't take it? Everyone is entitled to their opinion whether you like it or not. Yes, and I'm expressing my opinion. Gotta problem with that?
  5. Oh yes, and a new Dodge Viper to replace the one I wrote off!
  6. You really are a 'the glass is half empty' kinda person... :001:
  7. When your opinion is consistantly negative even after 5 straight wins. Surely a 'fan' should be supportive of the team. Just a thought...
  8. How can you call youself a fan with that attitude? Bottle of Prozac, table 12 please...
  9. Riga is a cool city. No, really, it's frickin' cold! When I was there in Feb last year it was -18C. But a really nice place though.
  10. Considering starting up a masonic order? I got a killer skull ring! Rock'n'roll and all that....

    Happy Yet?

I felt I just had to resurect this thread (in respect to the consistant negative opinions of some posters on this site). 5 wins out of 5 and it would appear that some 'fans' are still not happy. The way that we won the last 5 games is just football - ups and downs and the better team, in the long term, comes out on top. 5 out of 5 cannot be down to just good fortune. If you look hard enough, you'll find reasons to justify your theory on something (i.e., that ICT's recent winning spree is purely down to good fortune). Have you seem the film 'The Number 23'? To quote an old mantra that used to be common on this board but is now a rarety, 'I BELIEVE'!
  12. As long as we finally beat Aberdeen on the 2nd then I don't care how many points we get! :001:
  13. I know it's not a classic (yet) but for some reason I really like 'Elf'. Will Ferrell at his best.
  14. I disagree totally. Lord Of The Rings clearly was a HUGE influence on JK Rowling in the HP books. OK, now we're not talking about the films per se but I think the argument still stands. The Lord Of The Rings films certainly made more money individually at the box office, which translates into the number of people having seen the films. Also, there are not many people that I can think of who don't have the LOTRs dvds in their collection. The same cannot be said for the HP films.
  15. I'm not really sure about the Harry Potter/ Lord Of The Rings example; the latter is more influential and the better film by a long, long way!
  16. To help settle an argument I had with someone, what is everyone's opinion on which of these two great films has been more influential, Star Wars or The Godfather? And you can interpret 'influential' as you like! Cheers.
  17. Tool were absolutely awesome. In the proper sense of the word! They are quite psychadelic these days; a 21st century Pink Floyd if you will.
  18. But 'Gringo' is the word Mexicans use to describe white people. So you are a Gringo, as are most on this board I'd have thought!
  19. To be honest, i don't think anyone really knows what the original version of the story is. It's quite likely a few ancient tales mixed together now...
  20. The story's weak?! It's only northern Europe's oldest tale! You'll get many a historian's back up with such comments! :) I thought it was not bad but I think I'd have preferred it as a more conventional format film. Although, with films like Lord Of The Rings, the borders between the two are becoming quite blurry!

    Happy Yet?

Good post Alex. Sums up my thoughts. Although I also think it's also a 'lower league' mentaility, when we were used to seeing ICT romping through the lower 3 leagues, humping teams 5-0 on quite a regular basis. Different game now.

    Happy Yet?

Why has the paradigm on this forum changed from 'believe' to 'moan'?! I can't believe that we've had 2 good wins back-to-back, played some good football (certainly yesterday) and folk are still complaining!! I'll put it down to Seasonally Adjusted Disorder...
  23. TOOL, Bill Graham Civic, San Francisco, Dec 11th. It will ROCK! :crazy07:
