I appreciate that admin and our contractual issues with Puma have been a massive obstacle but not having a strip 24hours before the first league game of the season isn't a great lookfor a professional club. Not much between the teams. I think we played some decent stuff, unlike under our previous manager it looks like there's a point to what we're doing. Shocking goal to give away, Danny will be really disappointed with that defending, fell for Ikpeazu's only trick. As many have commented we are desperate for something more upfront. We need to address that before the league season starts if this season is to be as successful as we hope. Calum Macleod performed admirably out of position but it will be good to get him back where he belongs. He could be key this season.

I'm not sure this is the correct thread for this. This one is about Aaron Doran and his testimonial. There are many things that can still be improved in the matchday experience, no one is daft or arrogant enough to think otherwise. I'm also sure both the Trust and Club would welcome constructive thoughts on where they can do better. However, it's also pretty clear that you're not listening to the posts of other contributors to this thread.

I hadn't realised Destiny Ojo was one of our trialists. Saw him play a couple of times play for Cliftonville and their reserves. He's only a young lad but he really wasn't very good.

Odd move. They've been poor for a couple of seasons and its not like there's big wages on offer. They didn't even qualify for Europe for next season so it's not as if there's a shop window for Musa.

There's probably a little bit of truth to both of your points. The timing and language of the BDO press release hints at frustrations with particular individuals. It sets out the realities for the majority of shareholders. Its an unpalatable choice - lose your 'investment' or lose your club

I wonder if that penalty save from Musa could be something of a sliding doors moment. By all accounts we were outstanding after the save and it seemed to galvanise the team. He comes across as a thoroughly decent guy as well as a good goalkeeper so delighted for him. Back to a positive points total seems like a milestone. A tough couple of games coming up but onwards and upwards we go.

I've seen a couple of posts saying we should go for X or Y as manager until the end of the season but that's not how administration works. Essentially the administrator will look to cut as many costs as possible to leave the minimum resource to operate as a viable business until such time as admin is exited (i.e a sale). The administrators will still want a semi competitive team so some of the player exits might seem surprising when they come out tomorrow. The only way we could sign players while in admin is if we were left with less than 11 players. You would get special dispensation to sign players on week to week or trialist terms.

Always a disappointment to lose but I really hope that's not our goal and shot allowance for October used up. May have had a chance in the shootout with Dibaga in goals. Newman couldn't have been further away from any of the Livi penalties. Reminded me of David De Gea in that shoot out a few years ago, laughably bad.

I struggle to comprehend how we're even spending that amount of money in the first place. How are we spending £1.4m more than we're bringing in, its incomprehensible for a business of our size. What is it going on?
