  1. IBM’s on the case.
  2. These are full time clubs though. The last time Carlisle played at home on a Saturday their attendance was 4600 and their best gate for the season was 6000.
  3. Looks a bit like yon Hamish MacBeth toon.
  4. Only got as far as Russeldinho and Rankin so far but almost as good as our own Denzilcasts
  5. The Mantis

    Old Kits

Never been a great buyer of shirts, only got 3 or 4, but I seem to have drawers full of leisure gear. Going back to the old days of Le Coq Sportif. edit - plus 2 or 3 club ties and loads of scarves including the tartan one.
  6. The teams in the bottom six are much of a muchness. I think Dundee United will show them up and I’m not forgetting they were well ahead of us.
  7. I was just about to say it was probably the Kyleakin as the Lochalsh had large gantries front and back. We had a discussion on the Stornoway Facebook page where a couple of people were helpful. Some real nonsense spouted there though. Amazing how many people don't read the post or the replies before jumping in. Both of these boats are in Ireland now. Below is the Kyleakin from the Lochalsh which I took in 1990, and a postcard of the Lochalsh as I don't seem to have any of my own IBM can do the cars even if there's only wing mirrors showing. I think the light blue one is a Vauxhall Victor?
  8. The first two are pretty obviously Stornoway, the old No 1 Pier. And the ferry always berths stern-in at SY and bow-in at Ullapool. The 3rd one was a puzzle until I flipped it over. Hey presto, we're looking East along the shore, and the building with the 3 chimneys is Battery Point Power Station ...and most of the buildings match present day, especially the two on the far left. No idea about the boat though. But somebody on the Stornoway FB page will know.
  9. I thought you had airbrushed him in
  10. Would we miss the Norseman? Sounds good to me...
  11. Ha. You made me go and check. June is Urquhart Castle so even Stevie Wonder would have got it. But no more Highland ones the rest of the year. A mixture of Lowlands, Wales and NI so maybe I should put them up for a guess
  12. So it is. I was looking at Ardmair not long ago for one of the photos on here too
  13. Wanted to ask you guys about this photo. The guy next door gives us a calendar every xmas. He's in the Brethren and it's usually a mixture of Scottish and NI scenes. This one says Ullapool but it's obviously not. I thought maybe Shieldaig but it doesn't look right either. Any ideas?
  14. See, that's the problem. I would have turned off for Kyle before that
  15. Sorry guys, completely stumped
  16. Not much clue either. At first I thought it was the cottage at Loch an Eilein, but nut
  17. Wonder where Walsh will pitch up. No news of a PCA but must have offers.
  18. I'm guessing St Margaret's Hope but find google maps hopelessly slow these days.
  19. Seems to be the right ship, built 1969, registered in Cozumel, Mexico but maybe it wasn't wrecked there. Just got the rest off Wiki.
  20. Well a quick search tells you me it was run by Western Ferries from 69-76 on Kennacraig-Islay. It was the Mexican Government who bought it and it was wrecked by Hurricane Wilma in 2005.
  21. Jeez... the one occasion when I actually pay on time
  22. Here's the Iona at Armadale on a wet September weekend in 1991. Tried to introduce the kids to youth hostelling without success And a nice morning at Mallaig in April 1992 when 4 of us went over to Rum on the Lochmor.
  23. Nice one. Port Askaig. Hoping to be there in September, fingers crossed.
