    Just for comparison: season 2009-10, first 3 games. Dunfermline 0 ICT 1 ICT 0 Ayr 0 Dundee 2 ICT 2 5 points. This season, first 3 games. Falkirk 0 ICT 1 ICT 0 Ayr 0 ICT 2 Alloa 2. 5 points.
  3. Apologies for my ignorance- I haven’t been paying attention as I’m more interested in old stadiums than new ones ? , also never been all that familiar with Aberdeen, but I had been assuming they were going to Loirston Loch all this time ? I did go to Cove’s new place the other week and it’s just such a godforsaken area (but the balmoral pies are good). Like us it was built next door to a travellers site, though good luck to anybody trying to get to the stadium from there, as you have to go north round Ikea, then round the Post Office depot and a dozen other businesses. Imagine Caley Stadium being right in the middle of the Longman and you’ve just about got it. Just on Falkirk, they do have an actual huge landfill just south of Grangemouth and it stinks for about half a mile if you’re coming north on the M9. Bad news for the ICT Lothian & Borders contingent.
  4. Was he kicking the furniture? Scott Brown.
  5. Definitely Steven McLean in the middle. Actually met him 2 weeks ago at a meeting but never got round to thanking him ?
  6. Been moaning about this for years too. The recieved wisdom is always, take no risks at the back, take some risks in midfield, save the risky passes for final third. But we must be the most cautious, risk-averse side in the league.

  8. Excellent summary from RiG and not much that can be added. Austin had another clear chance late on when the defender slipped. A continual moan of mine is strikers with no composure. Iain Stewart or probably Dargo would have finished that. A decent striker has the presence of mind to lift the ball. Others just panic and blast it. Polly shot wide in stoppage time which went on for ever. Rooney is, like most full backs, torn to bits by anybody running at him, but showed some amazing touches in possession. Walsh, predictably, is good with the ball at his feet but seemed to spend the whole second half chasing long high balls up the line which were hoovered up by the right back. i liked the look of Jordan White against Cowden but against better teams in the last two games his limitations are clear. Some size of a boy though. Edit - just realised RiG meant the same Austin chance as I did. But he had a decent chance first half where he dilly-dallied.
  9. He’s probably the best finisher we’ve got but that’s not saying much imo. Hope he can do the business today though.

Where did you hear that? It certainly wasn't true for the seeded teams, as Celtic were 1, Aberdeen were 2 and Rangers were 3. I don't think it was true for the unseeded teams either as I think Ross County were 12. It does happen in the Scottish Cup though.
  11. Here's what's on offer in the new main stand at Tynecastle - a start maybe ? Courtesy of a Jambo mate of mine. Yes i did notice the spelling mistake ?

Irn Bru Cup - First Round North
  15. 19 years ago I had to put a consoling arm around the shoulders of that young fella after we lost a last minute goal at Somerset to deny us our first point ever in div 1 after 4 games ? A lot of water under the bridge since then - fill yer boots
  16. Don't do that. Those movies are tiny and go back to the days of dialup. I have it somewhere though.
  17. I think 18/4 as well. It was HFL and definitely 2-1 on that date with Wilsie scoring. The programme editorial by Peter Corbett and the league table show that this game was win or bust. Haven't got the Elgin scorers. Have got the Airdrie goals somewhere so I'll have a look.
  18. Derek Adams on his farm, oo-arr ?
  19. That Oriam is some place. Mind you the indoor hall is murder to watch a game in winter as they keep it at the same temperature as outside ?
  20. Not only did the third look offside, there appeared to be a handball too as Doran took it under control. The first was an absolute beauty, as it came at the end of a decent move. White appeared to nod it down to Walsh and he curled it in from the edge of the box. Impressed by Jordan White. Very powerful player, great hold-up work and yet a fair bit of skill too. Better version of George if you ask me. Austin does the other part of the game but not sure he's going to give us 20 a season.

  22. Brora Twitter says it’s on too, 7.45.
  23. Never 25 yards for me, I thought he was right on the 18 yard line. Good strike though, took a quick touch and finished superbly. He’s a real hero round those parts, if he lost 3 stone he’d be even better ?
  24. Decent support after all. They were just having me on as it was my birthday last week. And Red Card had comps ?
