  1. They're missing him already
  2. https://mobile.twitter.com/rcfcnews/status/505105413818572801/photo/1
  3. Agreed. There was also the time he was barged to the ground by Jamie Hammill. Can we get some video clips please, just for old times sake? A Derek Adams tribute compilation, if you like. You really mean this though, don't you http://meemsy.com/v/5592
  4. So I beat their announcement by 2 minutes then! Yeah, I kind of meant that but never made it clear:whistle:
  5. I think I know the place you mean.....
  6. Wow, club statement at 10.06
  7. That's a bummer, I'll be abroad. Was looking forward to a repeat of the 2012 party.......
  8. Nah. Buckie Thistle.
  9. Tavares. Heaven must be missing an angel.
  10. I see Inverness City have been drawn away to Bonnyrigg Rose in the first round of the Scottish Junior Cup. The Rose are my local junior side, 1 mile away while Whitehill are my local seniors, 1 mile in the other direction.......
  11. Many moons ago, went down to Annan to see Whitehill crush St Cuthberts Wanderers 5-0 in the Final of the South Q-Cup. That was back when the four semi-finalists went into the Cup proper and Saints had already been drawn to play Cownty at Dingwall. Bobby Wilson was there spying on them and at the end I said to him 'you'll only need 9 men against that lot!' He just laughed but apparently he had to big them up in case his players went on the lash on the Friday night. I think it was 11-0 after being 9-0 at half time. Cownty then went on to beat Forfar 4-0 away which probably went a long way towards getting them into the League, then lost 2-0 at Alloa, which I'm sure I popped along to in midweek. As for Whitehill, they got a 3-3 draw at Stranraer after being 3-1 up with 10 mins to play, before losing the replay 4-0, but playing over an hour with 10 men.
  12. Not terribly chuffed this year as the 2nd round clashes with the Highland Derby
  13. Good point. Never noticed Cownty had got Stranraer again. Great seethe potential there:lol:
  14. I hope they did him for cruelty to the horse
  15. Pele was God though. Adams is an anchovy.
  16. I heard the interview with Jim Spence where Deek was asked 3 questions and managed to say 'y'know' 16 times. This is an average of 5.33 'y'know's per question and I wonder whether Deek or any other manager will manage to beat this during the season. I will be trying to monitor this week by week but any help is welcome, y'know? Maybe a 'y'know' trophy should be put up for this and it would give the Cownty fans something to brighten up their season.
  17. The BBC can be miles behind when it comes to the HFL or LL. Even for the SPL (I'm still calling it that for the time being) twitter is far quicker than the BBC.
  18. Surely Celtic will complain about the two penalties in the first leg anyway though, sounds like a conspiracy.
  19. Through on away goals. Those penalty misses were costly after all.
  20. Met Wyness101 in the check in queue at Brum airport and had just finished telling him "that was shite today" when I realised Russell Latapy was standing next to him............
  21. Highlights
  22. One of the 110 just back. Sat with Wyness101 on the plane to Edinburgh and most of the ICT squad were on it too. Puzzled why we never played our strongest 11 at the start, Doran made such a difference when he came on. A bit desperate when a raw laddie like Christie is our most creative player. A good day out but a poor game and pitying people having to drive up the road. Still trying to get over £2.90 for a meat & potato pie which was about as hot as a nuclear reactor and £4.70 for a pint at Brum airport.....
  23. Who precisely apart from some agitating journalists predicted that the English team was going to get booed ? That was never going to happen. One man's merciless caricaturing is another man's wry humour and the ability of an increasingly confident nation to be able to self deprecate. Just been watching this as I recorded it last week and it seems to have gone over some people's heads. The potential cringe was all there in the Barrowman/Dunbar opening song but the words were obviously a send- up of all the old stereotypes. Obviously trying to appeal to all tastes if not quite succeeding. I thought the Aimee MacDonald/People of Glasgow thing was very good, and I can see the logic in bringing in a huge star as contrast to finish the song, even if I went off Rod big time when he sold out around 1976. The 10 seconds or so of Andy Bloody Stewart segued brilliantly into 'Feel Real Close' by, well, only a global superstar, and a Scot, by the name of Calvin Bloody Harris! What percentage of the demographic would recognise Andy Bloody Stewart, let alone be offended by him And then there was Pumeza with Hamish's ode to Internationalism which would make a fine national anthem for Scotland. I see Dougie MacLean's doing Caledonia on Sunday night.
  24. Ok so we start at the Duke wi the traffic cone, it's near the station. On to the Mutt and then the Lilywhite Lilith just before the Harry Lauderdome. And what's all this 'wait till matchday then decide if I'm going' malarkey? That's a new one on me....
