The assistant manager thread
Looks like Thursday according to today's Inverness Courier: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Hughes-could-make-changes-for-Killie-trip-20012014.htm

Ryan Stevenson availability for semi.
Its very easy for a team to become complacent when the other team is missing players, just look at Saturdays game at Aberdeen. We were missing 3 or 4 first team players but the ones that came in performed admirably Would be unwise to gain confidence from Stevenson being out so i'm still approaching this game the way I would have had Stevenson been fit.

think were 2-0 now, unsure of scorer, just awaiting confirmation

Derek the "Brave"
I have to say I laughed at this beauty of a quote when talking about one of the signings they're chucking money at to save face: before Saturday when he made that quote they were the 8th highest scorers in the league and had a shot accuracy percentage of 33% in the league, only beating St Mirren on 32%.

Transfer Window
it would appear that Adam Rooney may be keen on a return to Scotland with his representatives making Aberdeen and Hibs aware of his availability
-
Transfer Window
I'm with starchief on this one. I think having Adam working along side with Mckay could work out great. Would open a lot more options in our attacking play and would give some more strength and power upfront. It would mean a formation change but i'm all for a 4-4-2 diamond formation with Foran in the holding midfield position with either Vincent or Draper pushing further forward. Unfortunately I would reckon Butcher will be all over this one. IF Rooney were to come back to Scotland unfortunately I would think we would have a lot of competition to re-sign him

Transfer Window
Adam Rooney strongly linked with Aberdeen, apparently goodwillie is too expensive for them. Would love Rooney back here, would be way out of our budget I'd think

Quoted from an article in today's Inverness Courier about the possible return of Greg Tansey to the club linky: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Tansey-could-be-in-line-for-ICT-return-13012014.htm

Curtis Allen?
Really disappointed that things didn't work out for him here. Whilst I don't think he would have dislodged Billy from the main strikers berth I thought he would have enough quality to help the team from the bench. Obviously we don't know what goes on behind closed doors but injuries and other-set backs haven't helped him reach the first team. I'm sure he goes with everyone's best wishes. Does this mean that a wage has opened up to strengthen the squad in January? If so i wonder if Yogi will dip into the transfer market, will be interesting to see what happens. I guess a lot depends on if we receive any transfer bids for any of our current playing staff

Ryan Esson New Deal
Great to hear that Ryan will be joining the coaching staff, has been an excellent servant to the club and by the sounds of things he has built up an affinity with the club, much like Ritchie. Delighted to hear he'll be with us for the next couple of years as a coach and strong reserve keeper

FT: Celtic 1 - 3 Inverness (johnstone 64) (Sutherland 1, Christie 36, Evans 87) great win for the lads, some highly impressive results so far

Adgesteni should have scored, over the bar

ICTFC U20s
The Celtic keeper supposedly made an outstanding save to keep the score at 0-2. Evans hit a creamer which was headed for the top corner but was somehow saved

Agdesteni is playing well for us anyone know who this new player is for our U20's?

HARTLEY FOR COUNTY? WHERE DID IT GO WRONG?
Will be interesting to see what deluded tripe Adams comes up with for their next defeat. Ive heard of sticking up for your team when trying to defend them but he takes the biscuit. Its not even rose tinted specs, its like he's watching a completely different game One of the sorest losers i've ever seen as a manager

I'm sure I read somewhere that Owen Coyle is currently assisting Stuart McCall on an informal basis in the day to day running of the first team at Motherwell.

Changes
Butcher never had a Plan B and indeed his usual tactic was pretty much set up at the start of the season and that was it for the rest of the season! Even Butchers subs were almost always too late in the game to make any difference Personnel will likely change as suspensions and injuries come into play but it will be interesting to see how or indeed if Hughes changes the shape of the team

Robbo or Donald Park would be great IMO. Both have in-depth knowledge of Scottish football and a firm grasp of what our club is all about Where is Donald Park just now anyway?
-
The new manager thread
True. As i've said before he wasn't my first choice but i'm prepared to give him a clean slate in terms of baggage from other clubs
-
The new manager thread
Well Hughes didn't have a black eye in is press conference so the first meeting with Foran couldn't have gone that badly!
