  1. What you have to remember about the pre season games we have been taking part in. We would be classsed as a scalp to these teams. Their players are gonna be more "up for it" than our lot. So....you got a lesser skilled team, who is trying hard VS better players just going through the motions.
  2. I knew there was a life for him after Crimewatch!

I think new kit sucks BIG TIME! Latest in a long line of naff strips produced by Errea. Sooner we end our association with them the better IMO! But.....it has to be someone at the club picking these crap designs. Errea will not be dictating the design, thats for sure! However...we are now stuck with it. Might be more tolerable if it was worn with white shorts and socks, and not those horrendous be bright,be seen shorts!
  4. Bellemay isnt even in the same league as Larsson! Larsson had a far sharper footballing brain...Bellend relied on his pace!

^Maybe the mods have played their part in that Alex. For EG...on saturday.....on The Buckie Matchday thread, a question along the lines of ...has anyone mentioned what one of the trialists was like. So i made a tongue in cheek reply (witty and inoffensive) and a few others joined in. But the posts were all removed! And i thought at the time, this site is rapidly becoming a no humour zone!
  6. There is that to consider too!! Shows how tricky a juggling act it is to have a squad that works within confines
  7. Yer not wrong buddy. Train prices in UK are effing disgusting. And not to mention the price hikes they get away with every so often. Bring back state ownership of Public transport I say!! Rant over. Smee
  8. Caley D....I reckon we should run out to Simple Minds combo of When Spirits Rise and just as its ending, blast into Waterfront. Think about it...Scottish Band, very apt tunes (Waterfront....considering our location)! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fpx3rA26agU
  9. Funnily enuff....thats the same numbers as i sed. Now i just need to land myself a job that pays ?100 000 per week
  10. Its just under a mile away from the bus station. Not too difficult to find. From Train station....its probably about another 1/3 of a mile but equally as easy to get to. In fact...be easier to find from train stn!
  11. What would you say was wong with him? (snigger snigger)
  12. I would say, we need an additional....1 goalie, 1 centre half, 3 midfielders. 7 strikers seems a bit excessive!
  13. First of all...Welcome to the forum Bromley Eagle. Nice Vid there. Nice to see Big Tel wait at the end of the game to greet all the Clach players/staff
  14. Aye...its smart...but also pie in the sky. Would look silly with 31 000 empty seats every week!
  15. Oh.....I didnt know that. Wonder how they do them? They are very detailed!
  16. Was just playing around on Google earth...playing the find Football Stadia game. There is a selection you can make on the sidebar for 3d buildings. And this gives you quite cool 3d views of footie stadiums. So.........................I found.... Rangers Celtic Hibs Hearts Falkirk Dundee Utd St Johnstne Aberdeen Dundee Ayr utd and even the tinky peg selling breeds up the road. BUT.....guess what team doesnt have a 3d stadium??? Bloody typical!

I heard a rather amazing fact that, per head of population....the scottish leagues is the best attended in europe!

Thing is tho, my neighbour and his family(I think there was a few of them) used to go to ICT games quite regular, even when we was at Telford street. They are related to Jimmy Calder...but stopped going so much when ICT reached the SPL, so you think they would be encouraging him. The wee man does have an ICT strip too, come to think of it...but he seems to lean toward Cellic more. And maybe this is where the apathy kicks in....the Celtic supporting Granda is more determined to have him follow tic than the more numerous ICT element in his family are to get him to follow ICT

We will never be a big team...FULL STOP! Not even by 1st Division standards! There is an apathy in these parts. From a population of probably about 70 000, to only get 3500-4000 interested in SPL football is shocking. Take the wee boy next door to me......He is now 4...he goes to ICT AND ROss County football training thing. But he goes in his Celtic strip, which his Granda bought him. I would understand if the Granda was a Weegie, or Irish....but hes from Nairn! Other neighbours, kid (4 yrs old) has and got all the Cellic gear and is being raised with all the trimmings (but at least his dad is a weegie). Kids next to them (ages 4 and 8)....are blue noses! So we dont stand a chance when the mindset is such!
  20. I think that ?125M deal was a huge leap on the deal the SPL just had with setanta tho. I remember thinking when i heard about it, thinking......how the hell will Setanta find the extra dosh.
  21. Speaking of award winning football pies (as you do)...i was informed the Spar (or whatever it is) on Montague Row sells Killie Pies? Can anyone confirm or deny this?
  22. "I played last year for my pal who sadly is a County fan. Still, it was a good laugh and a cracking day out." I reckon RiG should be relieved of his duties here, with immediate effect and a full investigation carried out to acertain his footballing loyalties :finger03:
  23. So Sky and Espn are wanting a 5yr deal but "offering less than ?100m". So....?1M is less than ?100M, but then again, so is ?99M. I thought Setanta had been paying about ?12M per season for the rights to show SPL? So even if the new deal is considerably under ?100M, it must still be as good as the SPL has ever seen?
  24. Just saw the goal on tv. Classic Fraser behaviour in not dealing with crosses. Geez...am so pleased we got shot of him! He's Motherwells problem now!
  25. Thats what happens playing ropy goalkeepers!
