Supporters Trust Statement on The Threat of Administration
No. 100% of a donation goes to the club. Only the profit from merchandise goes to the club.

Oh s**t!!! Sorry folks

I wonder what payment is due by 16th August that would take us into insolvency if we can't pay?

I originally read that as Ketwana being the seller - selling his finance services to the club - and therefore the club being the buyer. That would make sense, meaning that the Board eventually realised that he was a fantasist with nothing behind him. However, I suppose it could mean that he, as buyer, found out that the club, as seller, didn't have the assets that he thought, such as the land around the stadium. Either way, we dodged a bullet. But there's heavier artillery incoming now.

The thought had occurred to me.... what if he came back now with his offer?

Supporters Trust Statement on The Threat of Administration
I don't think anyone's saying that. We're saying "save the club first, ask questions later". Or, to adapt Flash Gordon: "Board, we hate you, but we only have nine days to save the club!". (That's nine days after the meeting.)

Supporters Trust Statement on The Threat of Administration
Whilst I agree that the Board has to account for their (in)actions - see umpteen of my past posts - Monday's meeting is not the time to do that. Start on that, and the meeting will get nowhere. The only topic for discussion must be how the club could be saved. Everything else is just noise. If a miracle happens, there will be time to ask other questions at a later date.

Supporters Trust Statement on The Threat of Administration
Yes. Because, despite the temptations, the meeting has to be "forward looking".

I wouldn't be at all sure of that. But note that administation is not just a "reset". There is no guarantee that the club could continue as a going concern, even if it dropped down to League 2 or to the Highland League. Someone would then have, for example, the expense of maintaining the stadium, with only peanuts for income.

In Dunc I TRUST
Pretty sure he'd say he only knows what we know. And that he can't give anyone any assurances. Players may be top of the creditors' list (if they haven't been paid), but I don't think they are "protected". Indeed, one of the first things that an administrator will look for is star players who can be sold. Ummmm.....

Scotty - can't you email those questions to the club? Or would the Supporters' Trust compile a list of questions ahead of the meeting? If ever the Board needed to listen to the Trust, it's now. I fear that the meeting may descend into chaos, and that nothing will be achieved.

That has to be the main question for the meeting on Monday. If £200K is raised by mid-month, then what next? £200K every month? Or what? And they have to be brutally honest about the chances of any major investments coming in. Note to Board: Assuming a second place finish in the league is not "brutally honest" - it's the kind of pie-in-the-sky thinking that got us into this mess in the first place.

"The amount that is estimated to be required to get to the end of this season (in terms of cash requirement, potential claims and backlog creditors) is in the region of £1.4 – £1.6 million. This figure assumes a second place finish in the league... "

Why not? He's still the Earl of Inverness

The Forensic Audit
The document they have seen is dated to last Friday, so that suggests that the enquiry is very recent. However, there's nothing in the rest of the article, other than the corny name "Operation Kessock", to suggest that the document is anything other than generic boilerplate outlining the steps and implications of administration. The type of document you'd keep on file and send out in response to an initial enquiry. Having said that, this is a massive breach of confidentiality at either BDO or at the club. Or a deliberate leak to concentrate the minds of potential investors? I agree that some sort of statement is required.

Fraid so. All my wife's family are Stenny supporters. We have no option but to win. Or I'll never hear the end of it.

The Forensic Audit
I guess that there may well be two aspects to it. One will be looking at current finances - income and expenditure at the moment - and I would expect that to include things like accommodation costs. The other aspect will be historic - what happened to the money in the past, where did it go, and who knew what? I suspect that it might be quite a while before we hear about the outcomes of that, because at the very least there will be lawyers involved, and beyond that there could be the involvement of inspector Knacker.

Cove @ home Sept 2024
Thanks. The BBC website doesn't mention that. However they do say that Cove committed 20 fouls (we committed 6), so did they take the referee out?

So what was the reason for 15 minutes of added time?

66% of possession, and we're one down. Must be the pitch.

Might just be a progress report. Keep folks informed. Like any decent club / management does.

Alloa Away Sept 2024
So why isn't Everton on the phone to him right now? Mind you, we'd be looking for a lot of compensation - about a couple of weeks' of Dyche's salary

Yes, it's been very noticeable (and very strange) that their names haven't appeared amongst those former club officials and investors that Alan Savage has been talking to. As I said recently, I think that Rae has the largest shareholding in his own name of any shareholder. (Savage has more, but they are owned by Orion.) And his mates have quite a few, as well. Time to stump up, gentlemen.
