Is it not time for a number of ICT fans to prove they are capable of suceeding at an SPL club? Several dont seem to be doing too well as far as I can see from some of the dross written on here.

Seriousely, what is the man thinking? He gets recruited by what by his standards is a wee rural club which can only pay a fraction of his usual wages plus a signing on fee which hes prepared to accept because his career has hit a quiet patch. He really couldnt care less who pay's his wages whether its the club or some Scottish businessman who has people and operates in his home country. Then the minute he gets here the fans on the website cant keep there mouths shut for a minute and do nothing but slag him off. In particular theyre complaining all the time about this huge amount of money hes meant to be getting which in reality this man looks on as very modest indeed. He realises his fellow professionals feel a bit put out when they realise someone else is getting a lot more but hes wise enough to know that this is inevitable. He still gains there respect. He scores ten goals and gets made player of the month in this strange little Scottish league. But he accepts it all graciously and just gets on with his job. But really he just cant get over all these country boys in the stands constantly moaning about the arrival of a player of his standard at there quaint little club.

The Chiarman is GONE, you cant get away from that and its no smokescreen. And like it or not this actualy strengthens Brewsters position because David Sutherland will have more influence again and it was him that got Brewster back. The other thing is its not up to you to "get rid" of Brewster.

Todays papers are saying that if Gretna go to the wall before the end of the season and cant fulfil there fixtures they would go out of the league and another team would have to be relegated in there place. Where might that leave us especially when points from Gretna games are cancelled so we lose 6 because we beat them 2 out of 2 while Killie only lose 3. And how did Saint Mirren do against Gretna. Should we be panicing?

Not much being said here about this. Im a bit surprised becuse they seem to be in big difficultys. I think a lot of ICT fans have a soft spot for Clach. So what do you think is going to happen to them and what is the problem or is it just the Corbett's against David Dowling. Should Caley Thistle take them over and use Grant Street as a training ground or could ICT put the all weather pitch their? Thought's anybody?

Livingston Caledonian Thistle! Acording to The Herald thats what the anouncer at Fir Park anounced ICT as on Saturday! Is this true. I wasnt there myself. The paper also has this quote from Davie Irons about the size of the crowd which was just over 1000. "What do you expect from a village of 3000 people playing against a team that are the furthest north in the country," he said. "I hear these comments about our fans but for us to be asked to build a stadium for 6000 people in a village of 2000 is just ridiculous." Perhaps you could equally ask why theres a team from a "village of 3000 (or is it 2000) people" in the SPL at all. After all there only their because of one mans money and not a lot to do with Gretna as a community. Looks like the Green Gretna (Gretna Green?) Stadium could end up as a white elepahnt.

Simple as that eh? As far as I know their already struggling to fill the present corperate places at bogstanderd games never mind fill 200 odd more just by magic. Look, for 4 or 5 games as year against Dons and OF the stadium is a near 7500 sell out. Otherwise your talking about 3500 to 4500 fans or something like that. Most of the time their are already 3000 to 4000 empty seats so what the hells the point in spending a million or two to add a couple of thousand more. Fair enough theres not enough space in the main stand for things like offices and so on but theres no way Caley could justify huge expense on another stand which would either be empty or would make the present ones even emptier.

And Im apauled/ apaled/ appalled that 24 hours after a famous victory some people still seem to be more interested in whinging about things in the club. Theres at least three moaning threads on the go just now. Are some of you people never happy or do you just enjoy having something to girn about.

Agreed they need a defender and theyve said as much. Theyve said they want two strikers and a defender. They have one striker in MacDonald. The Austrian boy is a defender but an injury has delayed his trip here till the 16th. Wyhatever happens about a defender their still looking for one striker so why not check out Nicolae. I would have thought that champions Celtic v Killie would have been first choice for Setanta who seem have theyre noses slighly further up Celtics @*se than Ranger's. The Edinburgh derby might possibly be second choice although they might have to think long and hard about ignoring the OF on the first day of the season.

Rosscoe23 - look at the Average Home Crowd thread. 7500 seats in 3 stands at the moment - average attendance 4878 or 64.8% full. So whos going to use the 4th stand you want? Would their even be many people in it for Old Firm games these days? Not judging from attendences at Dunfermline, Mothwerwell etc. v OF.
