  1. rory was a complete waste of a jersey. i have never seen him contribute anything constructive to the team and today was no exception. im 100% behind giving young lads a crack in the first team if they are up to the task but he has had plenty opportunity this season and produced nothing.. how about giving the young lad woods a chance - saw the reserve game against rangers and IMO he has bags more to offer than rory mcwasteofspace. first half was pretty slow today - some great chances though and a cracking 35 yard shot from rankin which looked inches off target from north stand. second half was much better. caley controlled the game much more and looked certain to score. though falkirk just seemed intent on kicking caley off the park and the ref was oblivious to it! some great play from ritchie hart today - glad he is back in the squad.
  2. if bannerman has quite finished........ shearer could get a game for a caley jags MASTERS team
  3. charlie would have to be there! martin lisle is definately old enough.. maybe sergei baltacha could hang up his walking stick for it as well
  4. if your including fort william then nairn needs a mention as well...
  5. Due to visitors and other distractions I didn't hear the 2nd half. Until 5 minutes ago I thought that a 1-0 defeat having played for most of the game with 10 men was fair. Just checked teletext and am delighted that the boys grabbed a point. Just need to keep it up against the wee teams.
  6. Rory has shown potential albeit in brief flashes. He has also been thrust into the forefront due to our current crop of injuries. With a bit of luck he might have grabbed a few goals, but infortunately has either miscued or come up against experienced players who have been round the block a few times. I wish him all the very best playing for our country amongst his own age group.
  7. We aren't the first team this season to get done by Celtic in the last few minutes and I don't expect us to be last. I think the only thing I would have done different was Caff on instead of Rory and bring Roscoe inside a bit. The boys tried their hearts out and got mugged.
  8. that Ref was a disgrace to his profession yesterday. black played a blinder yesterday. thought rankin and bayne were superb as well
  9. where's the sense in bringing on 2 attackers in the last ten minutes when we are 1-0 up against celtic!!! :024: its mad worse by the fact that neither of those players could score in a brothel! we lost because 10CC fecked it up - pure and simple! :008:
  10. A4E No stand - No debt either - talk to the grocer. Plus our little club is only 12 years old and dad won't spend any more money yet.
  11. Despite being given some heavy weight attention I felt he managed ok on Saturday. I think he will gain confidence all round with the backing of all of us.
  12. My impression was the young ball boy was doing a grand job of time wasting for us. :001: In fairness to the youngster he would have had to move pretty fast to get the ball ahead of Stillie, who was out of order for his mouthful at the boy. Full marks to Stillie though for his actions at the end of the game.
  13. RIG there was a most definate kick on the ground from Jarosik. All credit to Blackie who sat and took it, while watching somebody else get booked for a change. Jarosik should have seen red though for the kick and shove.
  14. What a cracking result for the boys - all our strikers back in the goals and I just took £100 of William Hill
  15. Sat in section d today and thought the baiting of Bullock was excellent. Bullock himself was quite amused. The boys with the drums do a grand job of trying to get things going.
  16. I agree with all that has been said above, and think that with young master Black about to spend lots of time either playing reserve games and watching from the stand, the time is ripe. Why not have him play as an attacking midfielder because the one thing he still does well is close control with the ball. Given a bit more space in midfield he may even get back in amongst the goals.
  17. despite my prediction of 1-1 for the Groingos NPL I did put money on 2-1 for us so I am happy in more ways than one. Good weekend, got the Well and Dons scores right so the bank balance is climbing.
  18. couldn't get a ticket but watching the gers fans hide their colours and leaving th pub on the final whistle was almost priceless. Watching them leave Ibrox in October was only slightly better
  19. Agree with the majority of what has been said and with CC's recent comments in the press where he rightly says priority number 1 each season is to avoid being in the dogfight at the bottom. After that, and I think the majority of the fanbase feel the same, then lets see what can be achieved. Defence is playing ok but the whole team seems to be scared of the ball and of making mistakes and are getting rid of the ball as rapidly as possible to whatever coloured jersey. There has been little change in performances by the team since the start of the season which have generally not been as good as last season. However I do think that or recent goal drought will not last and wonder who will be deluged when the team clicks.
  20. Well done to the youngsters. :021: :021:
  21. sublime free kick, which might go some way towards more Euro places which can't all go to Glasgow.
  22. Unfortunately the wee man lost his place due to being the sort of aggressive player we need that refs tend to learn about and pick on. Most of his bookings are correct with the odd one due to reputation. But as most folk have already said Russeldinho played well on Monday and has earned the right to at least start the game. Think Blackie should come on for the last 30 min if the match situation allows. I would expect Hib's efforts on Wednesday should mean they will wilt a bit in the second half, which might herald the sort of changes of personnel we saw against Falkirk and maybe the same kind of finale.
  23. Sorry HC but I already have the winning ticket for Friday. Fourth stand would be ideal with a full size gym and sports facility included inside utilising as much of the space available. Facility for use obviously by players and the public as large, which generates income for the club. Rather than the usual with football stadia which stand fairly idle and unused outside matchdays. I am sure that I could make some funds available after Friday night. I would hate to think of the Bught being converted into a football only facility, for loads of reasons. The obvious few reasons are that access from the South for large crowds when the fairly big Glasgow teams come to call, would be a nightmare for everybody trying to escape the ground after the match. It also belongs to the People of Inverness not just us football fans.
  24. can't split the two. Poetic justice for brewster or just the Inverness curse. Could Le Guen be next out the door? :015: :015: :015:
  25. final score at P'head 2-1. Description on BBC text about Craig Gordon OG sounds very strange. So we could still be 2nd or 3rd on Monday night with alittle bit of luck.
