If any referee hadn't given that penalty they should have been sacked. Blatant doesn't even come close to describing it. I remember driving through Aberdeen and when I heard we had a penalty at Ibrox, in the last minute and Grandad Weir had been sent off I almost crashed! i remember laughing at the tv that night as the scrolling news had a bit about how walter smith had rewarded wier with a new contract for his excellent performances closely followed by wier sent off for rangers...... also remember trying so hard to not shout and wake up the whole house when we scored

if i mind right did Rory not get pitchedin after about 3 mins in a celtic game and played what i would say was probably best game of his caley career

Really hammers home what it means to be in the top league in the country and reminds me how far we have come since in our short history 40 countries showing the game either live or highlights, thats incredible and an amazing global audience where we can showcase that we deserve to be in the top league. Can only benefit the club as the exposure we will get will be vast and potentially huegely beneficial! Makes me proud to be an ICT fan, cant wait for next saturday, bring it on!! all i can say is YAY at least it means i can watch.. i might not be able to use my season ticket but i can probably say i will be the furthest south fan for this game....well at least untill i can work out where abouts down here the other ICT fans are... fair enough there were a good turn out from them but can people remember that it is still the summer holidays and as has also been pointed out a music festival and the feild sports fair at moy were both on as well which are renowed events and undoubtedly had a effect on crowd size, more over than that some people are just physically and financially unable to make it to every game it doesnt nessecarily mean we support the club any less

Out of interest does anyone know how the members club thing works... ala alot of spanish clubs.arsenal etc was just seeing something on an arsenal thread about a members day photocall and wondered if there had ever been any thought give to it for caleythistle

likewise to this i think it was a bad run of injuries that helped to relegate us

nice piece laurence.. always interesting to see what some makes of it coming in from the outside so to speak. obviously you are used to a higher standard of football but it is nice to have someone who is objective and not swayed by old loyalties or favoritism

Am i alone in feeling some concern and a slight de-ja-vu regarding the showing of our youth in the pre season have we not had in recent years players such as Zander sutherland, Iain Vigurs and to an extant Rory Mcallister whoi have shone in pre season yet come the games that actually matter they have failled to live up to the hype or they have not been trusted enough to play... barring an odd sub appearance here and there ( Which under Brewster maybe if they were lucky meant they got to double figures in minutes) they werent all they cracked up to be...are we heading down the same road with Sutherland Shinnie and to a lesser extent Ross (who had a good stint deputising in attack last year IIRC )

Fair call but I would expect to see A Trialist making an appearance at some time, with Big Lad, and Wee Fair Haired Boy coming on, but would think that That New Foreigner will start. that A trialist fella goes through the clubs doesnt he.......... i have seen him play loads of different times :023:

I did too, until about 15 minutes into the game. Germany were the 2nd best team in the tournament so the cynical, ungracious Dutch bad losers should consider themselves very lucky to have runners up medals. glad spain won but to be honest there were alot of poor games at this cup could have used a tartan army influence too :(

Putting Liverpool in bold doesn't change it from being Liverpool's youth team. A couple of decent games, one against teenagers doesn't make up for the countless awful games he had. Lionel was always exciting to watch...when he stuck to the simple stuff he was bearable it was when he tried to get clever and start playing football it went horribly wrong...will always remember that tackle from the pre-season county game when he nearly decapitated someone on there side though :)

think this could be a very good move for elgin and barry if it comes to chance for him to cut his teeth in a no expectations environment while maintaining fitness and passing on expereince

Are you an ICT fan or one of those Caley "rebels" who love to have a go at the club at every opportunity? It certainly seems the latter. why do people seem to think that the validity of the club revolves around a score board.. i really dont believe that we are seen as a joke club when we have proven time after time we can compete with the top teams in the country...was it not Celtic that took the cup game against us seriously enough to warrant 2 nights in a hotel and training prior to the game?? we have earned our right to be in the top league in our country and all our own fans seem to want to do is find reasons to slate us. so what if we dont have a socre board if you cant remember the score then either pay more b***dy attention or just ask someone

Spain-Holland for the final im favoring spain slightly with a hope on villa getting the golden boot was impressed with spain today as they played the way they wanted to and i didnt think germany ever really looked like a threat only thing i could say is that spain seemed to tend to want to try that one move to many and not just make the killer blow

personally i think kyle deserves one more than dougie cant be easy to maintain enthusiasim and motivation and try to compete for a place when you are against someone like ryan in the form he was in however if dougie wanted one and was willing to contribute then fine...failing that he left the club so why should we spend to give him a token gesture when he will be out to defeat us everytime this season

well i dont really care with regards to numbers as i am working my way through family birthdays and always get my nickname on the back but i do like to see them with the name and number on the back on the park as i always think it looks better
