  1. in all honesty there is very little we can do realisticly. i was visited out here last week by angus robertson from the snp and raised several points with him but was still left at the end of the day with the disticnt feeling that you always get that the visit was more of a publicity event for him rather than actually caring about what we had to say.but thats where the trouble lies in this country there is far too much sway and power in the media (but thats for a different thread) i have attempted through various means before now to highlight my growing dislike for the way this country is run however time and time again it is wasted effort and energy. i believe that i am also more than likely in the growing minority that bother to vote at every election as one it is a right i think that should be excersised but 2 its also the first step to changing the system.
  2. where as some people do have inside information but it is often not correct from the club.. lets face it it would not be the first time the club has got something wrong
  3. for some time now i have been getting more and more disgusted at the way this country is heading. the price of fuel is extortionate, the food prices are rocketing, the gap between poor and wealthy is getting wider and the services, are getting poorer. every year it seems that all the services from military to nhs to schools are being given less and less and expected to achive more and more it feels to me like our government have been the proverbial nero's fiddling while the uk crumbles but what grates me most is the fact that these people whom we elect to represent us and to present our veiws and look out for us are in a position where they can vote themselves a pay rise, where they can employ there own family and pay them huge wages and they can claim ridiculous expenses for stuff that "normal" people regard as luxurys these so call peoples representitives can claim them on the tax payer. rant over
  4. i dont see you getting that much bother......... i presume you have more sense than to turn up at the game wearing celtic tops scarfs etc?? most people i know in the town are pretty easy going and if your on a family holiday then chances are you will be left to yourself. its always good to see a few more people in the crowd and who knows we might manage to "catch" some of your young into caley fans seriously though im sure you will have a good time and i really wouldnt worry too much about having to keep your head down
  5. last i heard it was hastings next in line for a testamonial. not to take anything away from his contribution but both him and barry have had time away when they signed for other clubs where as Granty as far as i can tell only had a loan spell at elgin
  6. Good news on the signing front and pleased tht he is staying. hopefully will be the catalyst for more commitment from some others. wa a little surprised to see no mention of a testamonial though, seeing as he has already been with the club 11 years and i can hardly think of a more deserving player at the moment
  7. i am most definitly in the better than expected camp. admittedly i havent been to a game yet this season but in all honesty i expected us to be in real trouble from the off this season and my only hope is that we can maintain some semblance of form throughout to stop a late slide appearing

  13. i still find it quit interesting that no one has mentioned that with all these large financial companies that are going bust or close to it, nobody has thought to bring about the link that many are in multi multi million pound deals just to get there name splashed accross a football shirt. if i remember right AIG paid something like 50 million odd for the man u deal.
  14. made me smile at silly o'clock on a friday morning
  15. well unfortunately i at the moment have to base all my opinions on bbc highlights which as we all know aer about as much use as dean macdonald would have been playing goal. ( :thumb04: tongue in chhek comment refering to the fact he is a wee short chunky fella :018: ) in all from what i have seen it appears that they are not getting the breaks on occasions when they could have turned the match, i totally aggree with the comments about Rooneys shot from the underside of the bar. had that gopne in i think it could have made a world of difference. unfortunately though the beebs highlights only last about 3 minutes if im lucky so the other 87 we could have been pump.
