Our goalkeeper cover problem to be resolved ?
I know for a fact that Mark Brown was a great mentor for Mikey Fraser. Maybe he's missing him in training. We have a full time goalkeeping coach, but things seem to be going backwards rather than forwards for Fraser. He's a great young goalie so I hope he's just having a bad few weeks like the rest of the team. Brew has to lift team spirit before he has any hope of turning this team around.

WHOOPEEE!!! BREWSTER'S COMING BACK
We have a better squad than Utd though. I would normally say don't go back, but on this occasion I know that the board have made the decision they think is best to take the club forward, so I will give him a chance. Give it a few weeks and if our position hasn't improved then I'll blame the board for being too hasty.

Neil Lennon interviewed for Managers Post
Aparantly they contacted him but he wanted to continue playing. Not sure on how much truth behind it.

Donald Park - support for Saturday!!!!
Go Parky. :015: Great guy. GB assured us that DP will have a part to play in the club whatever happens. He is totally dedicated and has offered to go if that's what's best for the team. I do believe GB on that point and DP will stay, although that's not to say there won't be any additions to the back room team.

Marius Niculae
I think it was acknowleged at the meeting that he is not yet fully match fit. I think he will benefit from the appointment of Brew as manager. So far the wage differential doesn't seem to have caused a problem in the dressing room, well at least not on a personal level. He seems a decent guy who gets on well with the rest of the team. I'm sure there will be some who are unhappy with his reported wage levels, but personally it would seem all is well. I think he has yet to show us his full potential, hopefully starting tomorrow.

Warnock "I could definately see myself at ICT"
1 or 2 people staying away won't make a difference. The board will appoint the person they think is the best candidate to take the club forward. I have no problem with Brew being given a 2nd chance, but then I might have been a bit more aware of the circumstances surrounding his departure. Graeme Bennet made it clear that it was down to CB that ICT were so well compensated. We have to get behind the manager (whoever he is) and support the team. The only person who will lose out by staying away is yourself.

New Manager
I don't think he can expect us to match the offer we made to keep him. This is a new scenario and a wage would have to be negotiated. At the moment he's a player with Aberdeen, so I wouldn't expect his wage demands to be ridiculous. That is if he is to be offered the position. We might have been able to match his wage, but he negotiated the best deal for us from Utd, reportedly around ?250k

New Manager
Firstly we made a lot of money from Craig leaving for Utd. GB made the point last night that CB was forever the gentleman in the negotiations and made sure ICT got the best possible deal. How many of us would be loyal enough to our current jobs if we were offered 3,4 or 5 times our current salary. I was very aware at the time how hard a decision it was for them to go as they were enjoying life at ICT. (Hence the ability to negotiate as if it had fallen through, he would have happily stayed with us). He was really pressured by ET and others into going to the 'bigger' club. Bigger club = bigger pressure. Of course he came back for players, but he agreed not to do that for a certain period (was it 6 months?). Once he was there he had to do the best he could and try to get the best players in. I know that this had an impact on his friendship with GB and CC at the time, but they have been able to forgive, so I think we should too. I think he would be the first to admit it was not one of the best decisions he has ever made, but under the same circumstances we would all have done exactly the same thing. At the end of the day it's a results driven business as as someone else said if in 6 games time we are still anchored to the bottom of the league with no points, then questions will rightly have to be asked, but on the other hand if we get some wins under our belt we'll have fogotted all about Utd. The DoF was clear that the board had not yet made a decision and that the board would meet again today and hopefully begin the interview process. If they have not come to a decision by end of business today DP will take the team on Saturday.

What if Warnock doesn't want the job or we can't meet his wage demands will you still boycot the alternative choice or only if it's Brewster. So far it looks as if you are on your own. :017:

I take it you have spoken to some of the players then. My information suggests that it's the other way about and that they would welcome Brewster back. Some more than others I'm sure, but the general feeling seems quite positive. But as you are adament they don't want Brewster you must have some first hand information
