  1. Just has to be Dennis. I would also like Barry to get it, but he hasn't been getting a game.
  2. On the otherhand, they do have to listen to potential investors. Some cash wouldn't go a miss at the end of the day, but I suppose it depends on their intentions. Only our board have the fact and we have to trust them to act in the best interests of the club. They have always seen us through in the past so I'm sure they'll do the right thing.
  3. It's the quotes from the chairman, vice chairman and major shareholder that are enough to convince me that the approach has been made. Have you even read the article yet? I have replied to your PM, so can we now keep this thread on topic. This could have a major impact in our club and I think it is very worthy of it's place on the main board.
  4. This not a rumour. Inverness Courier have it on the front page with quotes from Alan Savage, Graeme Bennet and David Sutherland. Whether anything comes of it is another story, but I think we have enough evidence that contact has been made with the club.
  5. I have to agree with that - you just need to look at Hearts as one example. Yes I have to say I agree with that too. Hearts were the first thing that came to my mind.
  6. David Sutherland (Tullochs) is reported to hold at least a 29% shareholding and according to the Inverness Courier, Sandy Catto has 16% and Alan Savage 12%. The Courier have quoted David Sutherland as saying that he would increase his shareholding to block the businessman, who he believes would want a controlling interest in return for his investment. Graeme Bennet also states that the board would not want anyone to have a controlling stake in the club. I have spoken with Les Kidger this morning who is the chairman of the Supporter's Trust and he is disappointed that the Trust have not been advised by the ICT board, of this potential investment, despite our enhanced voting rights of almost 12%. Until we are aware of the actual proposals on the table we couldn't make any proper comment, but we would expect this to be a topic worthy of discussion at our AGM next Thursday. I would expect that the Trust would also share the views of Mr Sutherland and Mr Bennet, that having one business or individual in control of the club wouldn't be in the club's best interests, but we can't really make a decision until we have some information on the proposals.
  7. Can't be bothered typing the full story, but keep an eye out for the courier online in a while. Both a Scottish and an English investor have contacted ICT. Scottish investors want to improve the stadium and the English aparently want to use us as a feeder club. David Sutherland is reported as saying he would increase his shareholding to stop a businessman taking overall control of the club which has been run so well up until now. Front page on the Courier with lots of quotes suggesting this more than a rumour.
  8. Looks like the deal is just about done to sign Phil on a two and a half year contract. All has to be completed by 5pm tonight to allow him to be available for the game tomorrow. The deal includes a wage cut in line with the current budget and there are still a few things to iron out, but both today's P&J and Courier have the same story. Good bit of business if it works out.
  9. I had my Courier before I came in last night and there were a couple of things I wanted to post, but it kept ignoring my text. When I checked I noticed there hadn't been much activity, so I put it down to site 'issues' and went to bed. Tried to PM you about it but the same again, it kept telling me I hadn't included any text. :009:
  10. Thank you everyone. That's quite a few tables pre booked and still a few to confirm. Don't leave it too long though.
  11. Bad timing, I hope he doesn't show an instant impact.

    Elliot (Hearts)

    Not a Merc - No.
  13. Not this time. Dress code will be collar and tie for the men (hopefully trousers and a shirt too :015: )
  14. So it's all his fault :rotflmao:
  15. I think that it is difficult to be a manager and a player, but he seemed to cope with it okay. I'm pretty sure that his shoulder injury will have influenced his decision. He kicks every ball from the dug out anyway. He took a few shots on Saturday. :003:
  16. Okay guys - here it is the official information. 17. No probs CCC. I'll post the info here as soon as I have it.
  18. I think that this is still to be confirmed, but it won't be too ridiculous as Barry wants it to be accessible for fans. I THINK it will be around the ?55 mark, but awaiting confirmation. You'll be the first to know. :003:
  19. Yes he is definitely still here. I saw him yesterday coming in from training. Today is usually the team's day off, so I wonder if anything will be resolved.
  20. He won't be cup tied as we haven't played any games yet in this competition. I know he is playing well and that Brew is wanting to hang on to him, but if St Mirren come up with a suitable offer for him then I believe he will be off. I suspect he has agreed all the personal terms required (or his agent will have on his behalf). At the end of the day ICT can refuse the offer and force him to honour his contract and I'm sure he would be professional enough to do so, but if he wants to go, then I think it's just an issue of how much St Mirren are prepared to pay us in compensation. I don't think we should let him go for less than we paid for him. So if the buddies can find another 15-20,000 then I think he'll be allowed to go. Shame though, he is a good player and I would be happy to see him in an ICT shirt for a while longer.
  21. Andyo, Your post made me a little angry and my first thought was to delete it, but you are entitled to your opinion. Testimonial years are not given lightly and have to be approved by the SFA. In my opinion (and I'm sure many others) Barry is very deserving of his testimonial year. I was with my previous employer for 17 years and you are right they didn't chose to give me a testimonial, but that's not the done thing. A footballers career is a short one and testimonials reflect that. I take it you won't be looking for a seat at the dinner or what about the potential 'big' testimonial match? So far I have not spoken to anyone who shares your opinion, so can we keep this thread on topic please and in relation to the forthcoming testimonial dinner.
  22. Many Happy Returns (for Tuesday, sorry I forgot) to our very own Mrs PB. :party04: :party01: :love01:
  23. How much do you think Marius's wages are on the mind of the players trying to negotiate new deals? Are they now less likely to accept a similar standard of wage structure, when one member of the team is earning so much more. Surely some of them see themselves worthy of a higher wage. This wasn't an issue before as we had a tight wage structure within the club.
  24. Source or rumour mill Maimie :001:
  25. I believe Charlie is in charge of the Centenary Club once again, as well as a new lotto which is about to be officially launched.
