I don't think Blackie is going anywhere just yet. Rankin is unhappy and understandably so with some of the behind the scenes stuff. We are right to hold out for a reasonable fee for him. Looks like it will be Hibs and I suspect that will happen before the weekend.

Malky is disappointed he can't make it, but the change in training schedule with a Sunday game means he will now be at home on Thursday night. He has however, promised to be 1st on the list for our next update meeting and forum. We are very grateful to Mr Sutherland for stepping in.

We have talked about that so that people can join via the website. Not quite got around to that yet as far as I know. Web site is now being looked at and you should see a few changes very shortly. (including updates of the board's sponsored slim :001:) We do have a few overseas members, so there must be a way. You could do it via my paypal if that helps and I'll pass it on. I can assure you that South Kessock, as they now like it to be called, was also very busy. The police were stopping cars from going down hours before it was due to start. It took just as long to clear too, compete gridlock.

I hadn't thought that either, but I can assure you that is why they were here. There were folk from Caithness and from the east coast too. They definitely came for the event and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm sure that there were many ways that the money could have been better spent, but it wasn't budgeted for that. I was't convinced before, but the numer of folk who attended and the feedback I've heard has swayed me slightly in favour.

Well I'm going to try a bit of justification. I was working last night (taxi) and there were a lot of visitors in Inverness for the weekend, just for Highland lights. The middle of January would usually be a really quiet time in town, but it was busy last night. I got an extra couple of fairs, but these people stayed all weekend, booked hotels, shopped in our shops and bought torches for our charities. It did make me think a bit, that it probably had put a bit of money back into the community. The charities must have done pretty well from the torch sales.

According to the radio Aberdeen may also be interested if they don't resolve their player issues. We are right to hold out for the best price and the more teams interested the better. Aberdeen wouldn't really resolve his location issues though.

I am certain that the board won't let him go unless their valuation of him is met. If he played today he would be cup tied if he did move and his value may be affected. I think the official line might be that he is carrying a knock. :rolleyes02: If this was a league game I think he might have played

Don't want to take this thread off topic, but you are right they don't HAVE to do anything, but if he wants to go then why try to keep him. They are right to hold out for a reasonable amount of money, but I also believe that they will keep him if they don't get a suitable offer. Radio saying that as well as St Mirren and Falkirk, Aberdeen may well also be interested.

Game off Pitch frozen in parts. TV suggest that this will suit Utd more than Clyde. They reckon Clyde were in form to have a chance as Utd had some selection worries.
