Wondered what had happened to you. :003: Looking forward to hearing the rest of the news later.

Had a text this morning. Team Gringo have ONLY 45 miles to go. Mrs PB twisted her ankle on Monday, but she is determined to finish. Having walked 27 and 30 miles a day earlier in the week, I'm sure a 45 mile stroll across the finish line will be a breeze. :029: :029: Spirits are high and the scenery has been amazing, so they are even enjoying themselves. :015: All for a good cause so feel free to make your donations via the highland march website.

I'll go along with that Alex. That would be my preferred choice

:rotflmao: Neksor I don't think they are abusive comments, but a bit of light hearted fun. Something we have been seriously lacking over the last few days. However if comments become abusive they will be removed. I'm sure that the man himself would see the humour in these posts.

I believe that the discount is 10%

I suspect it was something to do with it being Ross's 400th game. He does frequent the stadium of a fairly regular basis these days. Have seen him at reserve games.

As a direct result of our meeting yesterday the Club Chairman (Alan Savage) has agreed to write to all of the SPL chairmen to get their views to see if it is something they could put forward. As you quite rightly say Alex, rules can be changed and our chairman is happy to get behind this. It depends how much support he gets, but at the end of the day I have no doubt that the OF will be the driving force behind keeping the current set of rules. (Even although they have a singing section at Ibrox who are allowed to stand throughout the game, without interference from the police/stewards) We will just have to wait and see what we can achieve, but rest assured it has been discussed and will continue to be discussed over the closed season, with a view to having a better arrangement for next season.

how the **** could the people standing in the singing section not be respecting other fans. I would understand they're concern if it was in sections B or C of the main stand or even in the north but that is complete bulls***. most of the stewards agreed with me that we shud have been able to stand when we wanted to. Fair point, but the one thing that nobody can say is that you should be allowed to stand as it is clearly stated in the SPL Ground Rules that standing in an all seated stadium is forbidden. He makes 2 points in his statement and one is for safety reasons and that is why the rule is there so we can't argue that point. On this occasion there were no other fans in the same section to be inconvenienced which is why this section was good to use for the pilot. Personally I know that some stewards and the police officers were uncomfortable carrying out the instructions they had been given from a higher authority as they were happy that everyone in this section was behaving well and it was only the apparent targeting of this area that annoyed some of the fans. If all sections of fans had been treated the same then the club would have no case to answer. The trust will pursue this and once we have some responses from the club we will hold a trust meeting to discuss the issues and look to ways of improving on this for next season. The official line will always have to be that you must sit as the SPL rules say exactly that. The heavy handedness of the stewards will be investigated as a seperate issue.

PETITION FOR EVERYONE WHO IS SHOCKED AND DISGUSTED WITH MIKE SMITH!!
L_G replied to FortressICT's topic in Caley Thistle
Just to clarify. Chief Exec is Mike Smith and he was Safety Officer on Saturday and is named on the club safety certificate as assistant Safety Officer, he therefore deputises for the Safety Officer in his absence, as was the case on Saturday. The job of match commander falls within the remit of the police, who works with the safety officer on match days The chairman of the club is Alan Savage of Orion Engineering who was unaware of the situation during the game. If you read the trust statement it does say that we are waiting to meet with the chairman to discuss the events. We do indeed have your e-mail Jagster, thank you for taking the time to give us your views. (Edited to correct the information above in bold - Mike Smith was not match commander, but saftey officer) -

Savage is a legend A little early to say, but I suspect he will go on to be an ICT legend. Pompous overweight Englishman Do you actually know Alan Savage? Sets up a singing section out in the rain Trial for one game only. Fans asked for this area and the club agreed. It was Mike Smith I met to discuss it and he wished me to point out that it wasn't the club who stuck them out in the uncovered section. There were no implications to any season ticket holders by using this area for this pilot project. ejects people when they get too lively Stewards and police were acting on the instructions of the match commander. I can assure you that the chairman was unaware of the circumstances surrounding the evictions from the stadium. and talks of making signings from Kazajkstan Correct, it's got to be worth a look. Might not come to anything. As he has offices throughout eastern europe, it would seem silly not to use his contacts to see what's on offer. One day Bonzo you might like to post something positive. There were a lot of positives to be gleaned from the 'singing section'. The Supporters Trust and the Club are currently gathering together the facts and will meet hopefully sometime this week. The singing section was never going to be a permanent fixture in the uncovered area. -
I suspect he hasn't yet arrived home, but I'm sure we'll be the first to know once he has internet access. He could only be in the cells if he has comitted an offence, and as far as we are aware there were no arrests as such.

I can see them by page, but clicking on them doesn't work. I'm sure they will be on the case. -

Yesterday he was 'match commander' in the absence of John Sutherland. -
I believe that there is a small bit in the News of the World today, but I'm sure it will be more widespread. I'm sure a lot of the guests we have had on hear since last night will be press looking for a story. I don't think there is a huge amount to be gained by speaking to press at this stage until the internal and trust investigations have been completed and a statement made following a joint meeting which will take place sometime this week.

Tom, Can you take time to read through the posts already made on this subject. Can you please send a copy of your e-mail to [email protected]. A few of us on the trust board are getting together a little later today to discuss the e-mails we have received via the trust e-mail. We will meet with the club on your behalf once we have all the facts in place. So once again we would appreciate your honest account of events yesterday. We have all been very busy with phone calls and e-mails since the final whistle last night. I'm sure that the club will also be carrying out their own investigations into the matter. The Trust board will meet with the club at the earliest opportunity to discuss the events and will make a statement following this meeting.

Actually we have more than one. We have a lot of players racking up high numbers of games. I believe that is a big part in the the success of our team as they are exactly that 'a TEAM'.
-
Don't know how he lasted 90 minutes, he was on his feet for the duration. :rotflmao: A true ICT legend. He is enjoying setting the records, and he told me on Friday night that he is looking forward to his 500th game for us. Well done Rosscoe.

It is important that we make as much noise as possible. The club have given us a chance to see what we can do, so let's go for it. Bearing in mind we are in the uncovered area today and that the noise may well disappear over the firth, extra noise will be necessary to compensate. If it's a success there will be a section made available in the north stand for a more permanent area. So Sing Sing Sing. :021: :021: :021: :021: :021:

I'm all for noise but how can you wave scarves loudly. :015:

I'll take a couple again too. See you in the Innes.

Great night. Thanks to all the players who turned up in good numbers, Barry Wilson, Roy McBain, Graham Bayne, Ross Tokely, Russel Duncan, Ian Black, Michael Fraser and Rory McAllister. (Don't think I missed anyone) Also a big thank you to rollerbowl for the good deal we got and to everyone who donated raffle prizes and bought tickets. Raffle raised a little over £100 for Highland March and the new signed away shirt was auctioned for £105 also proceeds to Highland March. Hope the kids have a great day as mascots tomorrow, nice surprise for them. Must say a big thank you too, to the club for their support. They were very generous with their prizes and everyone who took part got a free ticket for tomorrows game. Thanks also to all the other Supporter's Trust board members who attended and helped out.. The only puzzle we are left with is when do you think Johndo will return his bowling shoes, watch out for him at the game tomorrow in red and white shoes. :rotflmao:

If you're through on time, why not meet us in the Innes for a pre match drink. That way you can meet a few more of the folks.
