  1. Oh C_H2- You are such a pleasure to have on board, a great help to the working of the trust. You are the first to complain we do nothing and then you have absolutely nothing positive to say when we try something a little different. I don't think you'll find that these tickets have a face value as you can't buy them on a game to game basis. They have been kindly donated by AJG parcels to support our evening, but I thought that it would be a good opportunity to offer these to some fans (like yourself) who aren't coming along tonight. Guess you'll not be bidding then? :006: We'll have a good night and I'm sure the winner of the auction will have a great day. Thanks for all your support. :021: :021: :021: :023:
  2. Buffy PM me your number and I'll give you a call later. There are 2 travel lodges, both a short taxi ride away, so just ask for a taxi to Macrae & **** Land Rover and we'll look after you from there.
  3. Okay folks - so far so good, quite a few tickets sold, so it should be a good night. Just to let you know that you can pay at the door, although it is helpful if we have an idea how many will turn up, as I would hate to run out of wine. :015: :015: For those of you who aren't going to make it along for one reason or another, I'm going to give you the opportunity to bid on a couple of auction items as follows: 2 SEATS IN A BOX FOR THE DUNFERMLINE GAME, COURTESY OF AJG PARCELS, THIS INCLUDES THE BEST SEATS AROUND (WARM AND DRY) WITH PRE AND POST MATCH BAR AND HALF TIME FAYRE You will need to be at the Stadium on Saturday by 2pm. You can leave your bids here and we'll take them into consideration during the auction at our little get together. ALSO FOR AUCTION - A SIGNED FOOTBALL Same as above, leave your bids and we'll let you know if you are successful as soon as possible tomorrow night. Thank you
  4. Some advice :015: If you happen to be out it the dark, dressed in dark clothing, while walking a black dog. - DON'T WALK OUT IN FRONT OF AN ONCOMING TAXI. - ESPECIALLY MINE. :015: :015: p s Hope Mrs Caley 100 will be joining us for some pampering and tampering tomorrow night. You know she deserves it. :003:

My lips are sealed, but Scotty that could be very relevant. :015: :015: :015: :015: The 'do' in question is in Acton, down your neck of the woods.
  6. Caley Club run buses and will welcome you pre match. Bus to the game and back for £2 a head I think.
  7. :015: :015: :015: Can I suggest you ignore advice from IHE :015: :015:
  8. Same again today please. :004: McSwegan is starting up front today and Marcus is getting a start, replacing Rory and Rankin respectively
  9. Teachers of today. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:
  10. See the sticky thread above. :015:
  11. A draw will do for me :003:
  12. Juanjo was here for Ross's testimonial match a few months ago and he had just signed the deal then. He was off back to Spain the next day to start training. There was a link on here at the time. I think he'll just be happy to be playing football.
  13. Why did you not stand for election to the board, where you would have had first hand input to discussions and decisions such as these. I can assure you that the board did have a lengthy discussion regarding this piece of equipment and the decision to assist the club was relevant to the projected profit from the night. The boxing night was a huge success and will be repeated later in the year. Absolutely no reason why you couldn't be more involved if you want to. Make sure you put your name forward this year. I chose not to stand for election in the first year of the trust, but I felt I could contribute something so I decided to come on board for this year. We have a few different events happening and a newsletter will be coming out to all members in the near future. Any questions arising will be welcome. As Maimie said the Ball boy/girl kit is ongoing and will happen. Any other suggestions welcome.
  14. It's a bit embarassing that a club of our size should be borrowing essential equipment.
  15. Are you going the whole hog this year CCC ?
  16. 1. This was raised at the fans forum after the Supporter's Trust AGM a couple of months ago and the chairman is very keen to look into this. I'm sure suggestions will be welcome. The supporters trust may be able to take any reasonable suggestions to their monthly meeting with the club. 2. Difficult one - but I suppose it depends on what the alternatives are. 3. Has to be North Stand unfortunately. I would love to see it in the main stand but that is being priced out of the market for most people and the moving seats thing would be a bigger issue as some folk have been in the same seat for 10 years. 4. Think it 'officially' has to be designated. 5. Worth looking into. Okay now a sensible suggestion. IHE why don't you put on your slightly more sensible head and collate this information and trawl the other forums (well the ones you aren't banned from that is :015:) and find out what they do. I think that the season tickets are supposed to be ready earlier this year, so we might have to move quite quickly if we're going to nail this in time for next season. Just read your post on the other thread. I think you could be the man to take this on board. well done :021:
  17. I sit in the main stand section lower C. CC can clearly hear some of the comments from behind me and they must be really annoying. Some very negative regarding individual players and some very nasty towards Charlie himself. When and who to sub etc. You can tell that it annoys him and to be fair there are not many of us who would take such direct critisism without retaliation. I think he just has to learn to be a bit more clever when the press are involved as it's their job to get stories and they just need a small thing to fill the columns. There was one game when Charlie actually turned round and told the guys behind me to 'shut up' or words to that effect. :015:

  19. I was at the game, but I didn't realise just how good a goal it was until I saw the highlights last night. Excellent work from a very tired Barry Wilson. He said it took the last piece of energy he could find to knock it in. Well done Barry. :021:
  20. Do you remember on Saturday night, when you asked about my family being from Lilac Grove, I told you that I used to travel on the basket on the front of the posties bike for the 2nd post of the day. :014: :014: If you mean old as in previous, then you are probably right, but he was probably actually quite a young postie at that time. :003:

    Can you . . .

I'm pretty sure Uncle John will know of your family, he's the type of guy that doesn't miss much. When he sold the shop he went to work for Menzies in Dundee, helping out with their distribution etc. I'll ask him next time we phone. Dave's Dad was a sweetie rep so he might know your Dad too.
  22. I don't think so IHE is very shy and not keen to show of his tattoo :015: :015:

    Can you . . .

Now Campbells van, that brings back memories. They used to come round our way and I was regularly sent to get a few bits and pieces, they were a real lifeline before the days of 24 hour supermarkets and in days when there weren't so many cars about. I remember Campbells van for a different reason though. I went to Central School even after we moved to Drakies and Campbells van used to leave about 4ish to head up to do the Drakies round, so I used to wait and get a lift. They used to take the van and the car and usually I went in the car, but it was a real treat when I was allowed to go in the van. We were so easy to please in those days. :015: Heilandee, where and when did your Dad have a shop in Dundee, Dave's 'uncle' was very involved in the newsagents circle, he had a shop in Monifieth for many years.
  25. Charles Bannerman meets FW at last. :015: :015:
