  1. I thought that was IHE on a Sunday morning. :015: :015: Part Timer - See you there.

I read that earlier. Sounds like the BBC trying to make a story. Obviously we want to keep him, but he doesn't want to stay. I suppose it depends what offers are on the table come January/July.
  3. Dods has made it very clear he doesn't plan to play another season in Inverness. I suppose it depends on what he gets offered, but I'm sure someone will come in for him. He should be forever grateful to ICT for not selling him to Dundee Utd though. That would have been a bad move (or would he have helped save the day - we'll never know now)
  4. :015: :015: :015: He appreciates us really. Had a word with Colin in the Innes last night and gave him some warning that we will be descending on the Innes on the 24th.
  5. Confirmed on the official site HERE This link did work earlier, but the article would seem to have been removed from the official site for some reason. Must have been leaked too early or something. OOooops Courier has quotes from Charlie praising the whole team and in fact everyone within the club so it must just be a technicallity. [EDIT (by Scotty) : The information was released to the club and press a few days early. This is normal practice with a story like this and is done to allow the press some time to get pics/quotes. Stories are 'embargoed' until an agreed date/time - in this case Sunday 5th - when it was to be officially announced and could be printed in newspapers/websites or broadcast on radio/tv. It appears that the Courier may have jumped the gun and will doubtless take some flak over this. Dont expect any article to be available on the official site until Sunday as regardless of the fact that its in the Courier, the club have to abide by the original embargo date (unless the SPL say differently in the meantime). I believe an article was published on the official site briefly (after the courier had gone on sale), but was removed as it was not meant to be displayed until Sunday.]
  6. Confirmed in the Courier. SPL Manager of the month. :clapping04: :clapping04: :clapping04: Well deserved IMO. Well Done Charlie. Apologies for duplication of a similar thread, but thought it was worthy of a sticky announcement.
  7. confirmed in the courier. Worthy of a new thread I think. Apologies for the duplication.
  8. Doesn't sound like it was a great game. From the Official Site
  9. Of course you can, you know you're welcome in the Innes any time. Stay and watch us beat the Jambos on the Saturday.
  10. Phone the ICT ticket office. They might have these tickets available for sale now, but if not it won't be long. You will be able to order them by phone and have them posted to you if you do it early enough. Watch out though as a lot of the seats at Parkhead have a restricted view.
  11. I think this is ET's most important quote. Brew only had his eyes on our players and was slated on the Utd forums for not looking further afield. By the time he accepted that he wasn't getting our key players he had left it too late to bring in some alternatives. Hope CL looks far afield to strengthen his squad.
  12. Well it's not really my gig. We just kind of gate crashed a party. A great chance/excuse to get together with some fellow nutters though. I'm sure we will manage a photo or two. If we get enough interest I'll speak to Colin to see if we can organise a small buffet. There are a lot of new names posting these days so it would be great to meet a few of the new faces. There are also a lot of regular posters that I don't know to see. Now there's a challenge - Sandy Cromarty - make yourself known - Innes bar 24/11/06 8pm. :001:
  13. From Tuesday's Courier RIVALS JOIN FORCES AT BLUE TOON Steve Paterson - Manager, assisted by Neale Cooper Ex County.
  14. Absolutely. I think it is essential that you dress for the occasion. The sparklier the better. Hope Santa makes an appearance too.
  15. Oh well a win's a win after all. :001:
  16. Agree with most of the above. It was the lure of the tangerine that he couldn't resist. As a lifelong Arab he must be gutted with the results he has achieved. It was a mistake for him to go and I know it took a lot of thinking and talking before he made the decision. He was actually quite happy in Inverness, but I repeat the chance of managing the team he supports was too bit an opportunity to resist. Also 2 or 3 times his salary!!! Could any of you refuse that?? I believe that he meant the loyalty thing when he said it but then circumstances changed and we did get a nice package for letting him go. I don't have a huge problem with any of that. I do have a prolem with how he unsettled our team trying to get a number of them to sign for Utd. He didn't have the money available and I believe insulted ICT with the pitiful offers made for our top players. He dealt with things badly through the press. He gets praised by the press for being honest, but some times you just have to keep quiet. I think Dunfermline could be a good move for him. He'll have some fresh ideas for them, but he'll also have the guidance and experience of JL. I think he needs to serve his apprenticeship in management and I think JL could be a great mentor. He made the mistake of jumping ship far too early and I think he would be the first to agree with that, but the pars will be happy to have him and JL will keep him on a tight leash.
  17. Soz cant make it cause Mrs Dmacca is visiting Elvis in USA at this time, but if i could would i be welcome with my Bristolian accent and all....? Of course you would be welcome. The more the merrier. Think I'll move this to the main board as some people might miss it here. It would be nice to meet some of the newer 'nutters'. Everybody welcome.
  18. Can you add to the poll THE WHOLE HEARTS TEAM THAT PLAYED YESTERDAY :015: :015:
  19. And the debate continues :001: some unrest with the fans
  20. Well done to the players for speaking out. What a shambles. Come on the Pars. Shame Craig Levein couldn't be appointed in time for this weekend. :015:
  21. :015: :015: :015: I am a big fan of Russell and I know his team mates appreciate the work he does on the park. He has a lot to offer. Charlie says in today's P & J that he is very fortunate to have everyone fit, which he attributes to the tough pre season training in Italy. The down side (if there is one) is that he has 21 fit players and can only pick a squad of 18 so he has to leave some out. blackie's suspension will give someone a chance to come back in and claim a place. He also said he might be considering more changes for tomorrow, but I can't see too many.
  22. See the Virgin Party thread for information regarding this night out. To make it simple - a few of us are meeting in the Innes 8pm Friday 24th November. Add your names here if you would like to join us. The more the merrier as they say.

HC Well said. I don't think you'll find a post anywhere where I am saying Rankin is our best player by any means. I think he is doing okay, but still adjusting to the step up. As I said somewhere else recently I thought he had been really bad during a game (can't remember which one), but I met John Doc the next day and he thought he had been immense. He clearly did exactly what they had asked him to do and they were pleased with his performance. I think he will come good and I hope that the fantastic goals he scored on Saturday will go a long way to boost his confidence. The first goals are the hardest, so let's get behind him and hope there are a lot more to come. He may be our most expensive signing, but in SPL terms £65,000 isn't a lot of money to pay for a transfer fee.
