Cannot believe this!! I was only suggesting that given the hard time the supporters trust were giving the club, and the press interest this had generated. This move by the club, might be seen not just as good PR but as a gesture of appeasment. I could perhaps pose the question would it have happened if we had not had this situation of unrest between the board and the trust? I was not trying for one minute to suggest that the trust were directly responsible for this or organising it and I definately was not trying to undermine the role of the supporters club or upset this lady. I appologise, for over estimating some peoples ability to see I was reading between the lines and looking at the wider political context. G

There was a guy in section G North Stand with a "Brew Out" cardboard banner, some club official sent security to deal with him. He delt with security diplomaticaly and they struggled to know what to do with him, lots of radio-ing back and forth. Most of us round him were with him and security noticed that in the end the club backed down. So their is no way the anti Brew feeling was not noted by the club.. According to the commentry on Setanta, Rooney has a buy back clause in his contract. I cannot remember hearing this mentioned elsewhere, do you think it's true. Graham

Personally as a recovering alcoholic, I have to watch myself not just as far as alcohol is concerned but also my pre disposition to become addicted to things. I have seen and heard of many addicts who have beaten one addiction only for it to transfer to something else. I wish Pele all the best in beating his gambling addiction. Graham

Rooney looks like a done deal!! I was sent around 5am to pick up his girlfriend and take her to the airport. He came to the front of the hotel (not saying! before asked!!) with her, he was wearing Caley (flybe) training gear. I think the plan is to use all the young "hungry" inexperienced guys and hope most/some of them can cut it. Then see where we are in the league points wise, keep the money in the bank accruing interest and then if need and only if things look grim be bolster the squad in the next transfer window when we know where we are weak and thus avoid the drop. Ditch Malky and get him in as assistant. Then we can give him a defender wage and a managment wage. So effectively he will be on more money but not breaking the wages structure. Graham

We should have a lot more than 150k to spend. The figures don't add up!. Don't believe the spin about Marius wages having to be recouped. Orion injected half the wages money for the 2 year period, as Marius only stayed a year effectively the Orion money covered the wage. Then there is also the money we scouped from having him play in the Euros. We should have at least 300k clear. Graham
