ICT -V- St Mirren
First half was awful, end of. Second half...not sure what Terry said at HT, but we started off the second half far better. Tade missed an absolute sitter after a great cross from Hayes. Tansey was then a little unfortunate that his shot went inches past the wrong side of the post after some neat build up play. Gnapka looked excellent when he came on, big and strong, and was really unlucky not to score when his shot screwed back across the line after hitting the post. In saying that, he doesn't seem to like chasing the ball down! Worse miss of all was Ross's....would've been an excellent clearance if it'd been up the other end, but he somehow managed to miss from a couple of yards. Two points dropped imo. Gillet was outstanding, and fully deserved his motm. Would like to see the two new boys start in place of Sutherland and Tade next time out.

ICT -V- Hearts
Great result, and to be honest we should've won by more. Totally dominated the first half, and it wasn't until the last 15 minutes that Hearts actually posed any threat. Sutherland put the header in the one place he shouldn't have, straight at Kello...but luckily it managed to squirm under his body. Sutherland was awful in the first half, but gained in confidence after his goal. Defence was outstanding, both Williams and Proctor totally on top of the Hearts forwards. Tansey and Foran were both Excellent in the middle...but my man of the match by a mile was Johnny. Best I've seen him play this season, he tormented the Hearts defence from the first whistle. Good game considering the conditions, and some interesting, but welcome, selection dilemmas for Terry for next weeks game.

Gambler Jock's Scotch Cup 5th Round Draw.
Not sure that beating them 4 times in roughly 25 attempts would make them hate playing us would it?

What a crap draw...again. Sick of playing that lot. Oh well.

Matchday Thread: ICT -V- Aberdeen
Thought McKay was excellent to be fair, He held the ball up really well, and battled for everything. Defence looked solid, Gillet and Golobart worked really well together. Davis was once again superb in the middle, and Foran looked like the player we know he can be. Awful game though. Aberdeen are absolute garbage, and it'd be brilliant if they were to go down. The 3 points is all that matters though. If we can get a win on Weds night now then we can put some real distance between ourselves and the bottom teams.

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Just watched the game on Alba. Superb stuff. Great to see Tade get a couple, that should boost his confidence in front of goal a bit. And as for Shinnie...what a great buy he's turning out to be. As well as Andrew played though, for me, David Davis was outstanding, and easily MOTM in my opinion. Hopefully that'll now kickstart our season.

ICT -V- Dunfermline : Matchday Thread
That was really awful. We were very fortunate to get even a point, and it'd been daylight robbery if Dunfermline had got nothing from that game. Their passing and movement was far better than ours. If it hadn't been for a couple of outstanding Esson saves they'd have won. Hard to pick anyone out for passmarks really. Esson and Davis....that's about it. As for Proctor...I actually thought he'd played ok. But the penalty, well...it was so obvious what was coming. A stupid tackle to attempt, there was only ever going to be one outcome. We really need to freshen the team up and give some others a chance. Otherwise we're going to be staring at a widening gap between us and whoever's in 11th.

I didn't think Dayton dived either. Thought he just fell over to be honest, and I don't think he appealed for a penalty did he?

Thats what I thought happened too. To add to my post...I thought Piermayr looked a far better midfielder than defender.

Really enjoyable game to watch. We started really brightly, and harrassed them all over the park. The goal seemed inevitable, and Tade took it really well after a great cross from Foran. After that we seemed to ease off a bit, and Shiels hit a great curling equaliser just before half time. In all honesty, they looked the more threatening at the start of the 2nd half, but didn't create that much, other than one chance they should've buried, which came back off the post. Foran had a great chance, but put his header inches past the post, and just as it looked like the game was petering out for a draw, Shinnie made a fantastic run down the left and rolled the ball past Bell. Not sure who played the pass through for him (Piermayr?), but it was inch perfect. We looked the best I've seen us this season, with the stand outs for me being Morrison, Shinnie, and Foran. Morrison was my motm last week, and I'd put him the same this week. He looks like a real prospect. Defensively we still looked a bit shaky at times, with Hogg having a couple of bombscare moments, but...we won, and thats all that matters. Onwards and upwards.

ICT -V- Rangers : Matchday Thread
Despite the 2 ridiculous penalty decisions, I didn't think we deserved anything from the game. We were toothless in midfield, and posed no threat upfront. Davis ran the show, and we failed to close him down all game. Too many aimless punts up field saw us give back what little possession we had almost immediately. It's clear from today that we're severely lacking upfront. Tade isn't the answer, runs a lot, but in a headless chicken manner more that anything, neither is Foran. Until we sort that out then it's hard to see us scoring too many goals. The finishing line up should start next week.

ICT -V- St Mirren : Matchday Thread
As bad a match as I've seen all season. Both teams were dire in the first half, and I struggled to stay awake after a late one last night! The game only really livened up when Rooney came on. Thought he was never going to score after hitting the bar twice, and the post. But fair play to him, he got his goal...and how well he took it. Duncan's sending off was a terrible decision, and such a shame for him to end his ICT career that way. At least he got the standing ovation he deserved as he trudged off the field. I had a really good view of the incident. Mair grabbed Russell first, and Duncan turned round and pushed him in the chest. There wasn't even any force in it. So how Mair then dropped holding his face is disgraceful. I really hope Hamilton catch them, for that one incident alone. Highlight of the day for me was Esson going for a jog behing the St. Mirren goal, after the sending off, and obviously telling Gallacher what he thought of it Crap game, but 7th place secured. Would've taken that at the start of the season...but I can't help thinking how much better the season could've been.

Gillet
What a signing he's turned out to be. I was impressed with him in the first few games at the start of the season, and then unfortunately he got his injury. Since he's come back, he's shown he could turn out to be one of Butcher's best signings yet. Thought he was immense last night. What's his contract position?

Club Statement on Player Departures
Little bit disappointed that we didn't give Sanchez a proper chance, as I reckon he brings something different to the team. And despite being highly critical of him over the seasons, I'd like to have seen Duncan offered a new contract. Other than that, I'm not surprised about the others, and I feel we can get much better players in to replace. Suppose the shock is Grant going, but to be honest, I'm not overly surprised. I think he's lost some pace, and his overall game has declined in the last few years. Unfortunately, there's no room for sentiment in football these days, and we offer contracts on the based solely on where the player's from, and how long they've been at the club. Intereseting summer ahead I think.

Hayes out for rest of the season
Good decision to get it done now, and get Johnny fit and ready for next season. As said, it also keeps him out of the shop window. We may not be a 1 man team, but without him we're a lot worse off. It's no coincidence that our crap run of form coincided with Hayes injury. To be honest, regardless of all the 'there's lots still to play for' shouts, truth is...the season is effectively over. While those in charge may well care, financially, whether we end up 7th or 10th, I think most fans see the remaining games as nothing more than a handful of meaningless games.

ICT -V- Celtic : Matchnight Thread
The defending for both goals was shocking. Tokely just stands and watches Ledley for the first, and Hogg is the wrong side of him for the second. And how Terry can say it wasn't a free kick leading up to their 2nd is beyond me. Duff clearly takes the boys leg, after being skinned for the umpteenth time on the night.

He's been rank rotten since we signed him.

ICT -V- Motherwell : Matchday Thread
Foran was outstanding I thought, and my MOTM by a mile....followed by Nick Ross. Strange game. First half was dire I thought, and Motherwell were the better team in my opinion. They played some neat passing movements, but never really looked threatening. Second half was a lot better, and we caught them on the break time after time. Still too much lumping it anywhere for my liking, Duff being the worst culprit for this. In fact, I'm not sure Duff should be anywhere near the team, he seems to want to take an extra touch everytime, before ballooning out of play for the umpteemth time. Much needed win though, thats the main thing. Is Hayes injured again??

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
Thought we just about shaded the first half...and then proceeded to be crap in the 2nd. Anyone be bothered to look up our record and split it into games where Hayes has played, and the ones he's missed?

For the hat trick as well! For all those not there, hope they show it on Sportscene later. Pure class from Adam! Can't remember anyone missing one that easy before.

Terry Butcher interview
Thought Sutherland tried to make Terry look an idiot saying they werent being bullied, and he should stay out of the politics. It would've been a great opportunity for him to back his comments and make the point that ICT, as a whole, were opposed to the new 10 team proposal. But, nope.....arse.

10 Team SPL - Confirmed...
There's no way there's not going to be a 10 team league, regardless of the level of supporter discontent. The OF want it, and what they want, they get. When it comes, I think the game here will lose even more fans than it is now. Me included. I can think of nothing duller than watching the same 9 teams 4 times a year. At the end of the day, the only way the clubs will listen is if the fans hit them in the pockets. A mass stay away from the games should be organised by all supporters clubs across the country. Pick a weekend, fans stay away, grounds are empty, clubs lose cash....the publicity created would be enormous. But it'll never happen. So, onwards to the death of Scottish football.
