  1. Can't help feeling fecked off with this appointment. The board have had a great track record of selecting the right manager, but they've got this horribly wrong I fear.
  2. Not enthused at all by this appt. Seems to me that the board have had to settle for 3rd best, at least. His record isn't great at all. Aye, he had Falkirk playing decent football, but he also had a very good team there at that time. I wouldn't have even had Yogi in my top 10 of preferred candidates. Oh well.
  3. I reckon it's going to be somebody that hasn't even been mentioned yet. The board have a decent record in appointing someone 'different'. Just wish I knew who it was so I could stick £20 on them now!
  4. Forgot about Gnapka. Remember the first time I saw him come on as a sub, can't mind who against, and was really impressed with him immediately after he went on a mazy run, finished with a screamer of a shot that went just wide. And that was it....he was awful after that!
  5. Right, now he's gone, and most have us have had our say....there's no doubting Butcher (or Marsella) made some great signings, and some awful ones. Best...McKay springs immediately to mind, or Warren, but for me the best was Johnny Hayes. Great player, shame he hadn't hung around a bit longer. Worst...quite a few to choose from, but by far the worst for me was Gil Blumstein(??). Saw him a couple of times and he was mince!
  6. Good riddance. As much as I've enjoyed having him here, he's more than welcome to try and sort out that mess of a club he'd prefer to be at now. I sincerely hope he fails miserably and gets the boot at the end of the season. Onwards and upwards.
  7. Of all the names mentioned, none of them really appeal to me. Shiels?? Feck, no...he's useless. Certainly don't want Levein anywhere near here either. As for Tangoman,,, Give Foran a chance til the end of the season. He's inspirational on the pitch, and could well be just what we need for continuity. Plus...it'll mean he doesn't follow Butcher around anymore!
  8. Ha ha...Hibs are still the shittest team I've seen us play this season. If Terry fancies his chances with that lot, then good luck to him. As long as he leaves our players alone we'll be just fine no matter who takes over. Not one of those Hibs players today would even get a sniff of getting into our starting XI. Quite fancy the idea of Foran taking over to be honest.
  9. Looks like my wish of gubbing them 4-0 is on...c'mon boys, don't let up.
  10. I really hope we gub them today. 4-0 will do nicely. A real statement from the players to say we're this good no matter who's in charge.
  11. He'd be mad to take on that job. They're easily the shittest team I've seen us play this season.
  12. Just posted the same on the match day thread. Have to laugh at their 'we kicked them off the park' claims...who got 8 yellows and a red?? Must be hard for them mind, watching a world class 'footballing' team getting kicked around every week. I did hear a rumour the Barca scouts were in the main stand checking out some of the DU talent, for when the likes of Xavi etc retire.
  13. Never really minded Dundee Utd...til now. Reading their 'Mad' forum makes them look like the worst elements of the OF conspiracy crowd. Bunch of twats.
  14. Very comfortable victory. Hibs had no threat at all up front. In fact, they were woeful. Other than a brief period after we took the lead and we resorted to a bit of hoofball, they offered nothing If there's any criticism of Billy it's that he misses as many as he scores! He could have easily had a hat trick today, same as in most games I've seen him in this season. Other than that though, his all round game just gets better and better, and he must be a nightmare to play against. Foran and Meekings were my stand outs today. Both were immense.
  15. Because it wasn't Ross he wanted to take off! He just called him over to the touchline to give him instructions, but Nick carried on walking thinking it was him being hooked.
  16. Sounds like Tel needs to give them a good kick up the arse at HT. We're not in the game at all.
  17. I was in school with Andy! He's now the keeper coach at Rotherham. Incidentally, Andy was involved in one of the strangest footballing injuries ever. Think he was playing for Barry Town at the time. The pitch had been marked out with some form of lime mixture, which Dibble got on his body, and he received quite severe burns from it. He got quite a payout from the courts later on. Anyway...it'd be good to get Brill here for the season. I've been very impressed with him so far.
  18. Not saying we have to sell him, or we should. Just curious in the current climate how much of an offer we couldn't turn down. I agree, I'd expect at least a million before we let go of him.
  19. I noticed in yesterdays Courier that Tel said we'd had a few enquiries about McKay from a couple of Russian clubs, but they were derisory offers. If he was to go before the window closes (hope he doesn't obviously) how much d'you think we'd get for him?
