  1. Lowest home crowd in the SPL ever? Just scrapped over 3,000 which we have never gone below in the SPL in Inverness. Although Robbo said on the radio that there was never 3,000 people there.
  2. I'm not too worried about relegation as surely surely we will get a point in the next 3 games! Would be a disaster if we went down this season with County coming up. What I am worried about is next season though! At the moment I can see us being the favourites for the drop unless we can bring in a few decent players, with Hayes more than likely leaving.
  3. We don't have the retention of our own players though if we are bringing in loan players who as someone mentioned aren't playing for the good of the club but purley to get themselfs noticed or stay match sharp. Do they really care what happens to the club when they know (and want in some cases) that they will be away soon. Not long ago there were those programmes on tv about the state of scottish football and they had some debating programme on the bbc. They mention Rangers brining in loads of mediocre foreign players who were no better than what was avaliable here and that damaged the game here. With the situation now and them being forced to play more Scottish they were saying they hope that lessons will be learnt and Scottish football can move on from there and it won't revert to back to what it was once the situation improves. But of course it will when other teams such as ourselfs are doing the same thing and filling our team full of foreign players who do nothing to improve the game whatsoever.
  4. Some people could interpret your post as pathetic....they would be right.
  5. It may have been mentioned before but there was an article in the paper about the Caley Thistle team on Saturday and how the none of the starting 11 were Scottish. Pretty embarrassing really. All the way through the divisions and up until not long ago we had a team that was almost exclusively Scottish with the odd foreigner here and there. Is this a reason why there is no fight in the team, with some players only on loan as well. People will say that all footballers are mercenaries but if you look at Tokely after a defeat he walks straight off the park raging, it actually really matters to him. We need more players like that who actually care whether we win or lose. Yes if we were winning it wouldn't be a problem but we aren't. I would rather support a Caley Thistle team with local or Scottish players who care a little than a team full of half bit foreigners.
  6. What was the crowd?
  7. Why are you repying? Why are you posting on a Caley Thistle fan site if you have now switched to supporting County? When County get relegated, maybe not next year but whenever it comes, who will you jump ship and start supporting then? Whoever is playing well I guess, worse than a gloryhunting old firm fan. They just stop going to games when they are losing, not pick a new team who is winning.. Dont let the door hit you on the arse when you leave...
  8. What a stupid poll. What if he merges a decent team together for next season then all the people on his back will be loving him again. I don't remember people caliing for him to go when we were 4th around Christmas last season. What do you expect from the team anyway. It is probably a certainty in a 12 team league that we will get relegated within the next 5 years I'd say. At the moment Butcher is doing fine. Freshen things up for next season on the field is needed though.
  9. Changing your team then. Cheerio.
  10. Eh? If it's the same chairman they had when they played Rangers at home quite a few years ago it's cause he's a wee free and won't watch a game on a sunday!
  11. It slides down and makes a huge puddle in the bottom right hand corner of the pitch! Loads of games were switched to oppositions venues over winter as the pitch was waterloged. That is why Wick have something like 6 out of their last 7 games at home or something around that.
  12. Ahhhhhh what!! So annoying, was looking forward to seeing Caley up here. Hope it's rearranged for another night.
  13. Pretty sure they have played each other in Wick sine Sutherland went to ICT. Think this might just be a bounce game since we haven't played in a while.
  14. I broke my smart phone so can't do it during the game but will write up something after the game when I get home. Rain and wind here today though....hopefully it dies down a bit before the game. Oddquine, is it Wick you live in?
  15. Yeah its 7.30. Lucky I went past the stadium today or I wouldn't have known about it. Going to head along tomorrow night.
  16. Drove past Wick's ground today and it had the next game listed as home to ICT tomorrow night. Nothing on ICT website but Wick website has it listed as a friendly. Anyone know anything about this game, guessing it will mostly be reserve players.
  17. Barry Wilson playing for the wrong team!
  18. I don't see Hibs battling relegation next season. In the SPL just now the only team I can see near the bottom are St. Mirren, all the rest should be fine. The team that comes up also normally stay up in their first season and County seem to be better this season than Dunfermline were when they won it. So even though I see County staying up the only teams I can realistically see as possible relegation candidates are us, County and St. Mirren. I would probably say at the moment that we would be favourites for relegation. All depends on what team we have for next season. No Hayes and another rake of loan players and next season won't be a good one.
  19. A win on Wednesday and we go above St. Mirren and Aberdeen into 8th and closing in on 7th! That has to be the aim now.
  20. 11 points ahead of them now.
  21. David Murray sold Rangers for £1 to Craig White. So we are worth 850,000 x as much as Rangers
  22. As long as Hibs lose 2mo and we can beat them the following week then I think we will almost be there. Looking forward to next season already with County coming up. Haven't really looked forward to a season this much other than our first in the SPL. Hopefully it will spark a bit more interest in ICT as well with our dwindiling crowds this season. On a side note. Am I right in thinking that we have never had a home SPL crowd below 3,000 before? (not including playing in Aberdeen). We have come dangerously close to going below that for the first time ever this season.
  23. Not disagreeing with you totally in respect of "the we''ll be fine attitude", but taking into account goal difference, Dunfermline have to win 5 out of their 8 games to go above us while we tale no points from any of these games. I don't think Dunfermline are capable of this but the best way to make sure is get another couple of wins under our belt and then i think we will be safe. Time for the fans to get behind the team and come out in force perhaps or should that be another topic?. Think you might have your sums wrong there. They only need to win 3 games and draw one to go above us out of their last 8. And imagine after sat it will be win 2 and draw 1. Saying that I still don't think we will go down but I didn't think we would go down in 2009. Lets just make it impossible as soon as we can. Would take a point tomorrow then a big game next week which if we win will leave Hibs as the team Dunfermline can realistically catch not us.
  24. Joe DiMaggio replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
Inverness CT boss Terry Butcher wants to build next season's team around out-of-contract goalkeeper Ryan Esson. (Record) Hmmm...building a team around a goalkeepr!!
  25. We are a lot deeper in the relegation fight than people seem to think. There was a similar 'we'll be fine' attitude last time we went down. We need to get points asap. I imagine Dunfermline will beat St. Mirren at home on sat and we don't really have a great record in Aberdeen. So we could easily be looking at a 6 point gap which is nothing given that we play Dunfermline again who, remember, we havn't beaten in the league this season! If they get a new manager bounce they could have that gap gone in no time.
