  1. David Murray sold Rangers for £1 to Craig White. So we are worth 850,000 x as much as Rangers
  2. As long as Hibs lose 2mo and we can beat them the following week then I think we will almost be there. Looking forward to next season already with County coming up. Haven't really looked forward to a season this much other than our first in the SPL. Hopefully it will spark a bit more interest in ICT as well with our dwindiling crowds this season. On a side note. Am I right in thinking that we have never had a home SPL crowd below 3,000 before? (not including playing in Aberdeen). We have come dangerously close to going below that for the first time ever this season.
  3. Not disagreeing with you totally in respect of "the we''ll be fine attitude", but taking into account goal difference, Dunfermline have to win 5 out of their 8 games to go above us while we tale no points from any of these games. I don't think Dunfermline are capable of this but the best way to make sure is get another couple of wins under our belt and then i think we will be safe. Time for the fans to get behind the team and come out in force perhaps or should that be another topic?. Think you might have your sums wrong there. They only need to win 3 games and draw one to go above us out of their last 8. And imagine after sat it will be win 2 and draw 1. Saying that I still don't think we will go down but I didn't think we would go down in 2009. Lets just make it impossible as soon as we can. Would take a point tomorrow then a big game next week which if we win will leave Hibs as the team Dunfermline can realistically catch not us.
  4. Inverness CT boss Terry Butcher wants to build next season's team around out-of-contract goalkeeper Ryan Esson. (Record) Hmmm...building a team around a goalkeepr!!
  5. We are a lot deeper in the relegation fight than people seem to think. There was a similar 'we'll be fine' attitude last time we went down. We need to get points asap. I imagine Dunfermline will beat St. Mirren at home on sat and we don't really have a great record in Aberdeen. So we could easily be looking at a 6 point gap which is nothing given that we play Dunfermline again who, remember, we havn't beaten in the league this season! If they get a new manager bounce they could have that gap gone in no time.
  6. the BBC have an interesting article. http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/17310468 Its going to cost the Gers either way, they go bust and save cash, then reapply to the SPL board to rejoin, its in the boards interest to allow that to happen, in the meantime there are 11 teams in the SPL, a meeting occurs amongst the SPL clubs and vote to give less money to the top 2 clubs. Or the Gers cough up and pay their debts. Motherwell will be playing Champions league football later this year though. As for our players I think we need a few more wins yet to guarantee SPL football next season. Motherwell will be playing in the qualifiers. They will most likely have one game against a team who finished 3rd in Spain, Italy, England etc and get totally pumped!
  7. That was Esson. Tuffey didn't play for us then.
  8. We will always be told that the timing is crap. Timing was good in the 1070's but we were told then that the timing was crap. We were also told a whole heap of arguments why Scotland should not be independent by the government while at the same time the same government classified a report that concluded that Scotland would flurish under independence and be considerably richer than England, one of the strongest nations economically in Europe and be in surplus. Fast forward to today and we again are told the timing is crap and the same reasons that were argued to decieve Scotland then are the same reasons that roll of the tounge of the government today. It's a total nonsense. I dont think England had any interest in the state of Scotland back in 1070. Oops, just noticed that. Obviously 1970's is what I meant

  10. David Proctor?
  11. We are doing ok just now. We won't get relegated so Butcher can be given time to build for next season and take it from there. Some people have unrealstic expectations. I have read people saying on here relegation again would ruin us etc and others say that we won't get relegated again etc. The simple truth though is that we need to build as well as we can to stay in the league and possibly push for top 6 but also look at the possibility of what happens when we do go down. Becasue we will get relegated again in the near future. By near future I mean the next decade, or earlier/later give or take, but relegation I would say is an inevitability again in the current league set up.
  12. Why is the focus on this specific type of safe standing with the individual fold down seats. The SPL are open to the idea and suggestions and since they have looked at Germany where safe standing of other kinds is allowed then surley other types of safe standing can be looked at here. In Germany they have more traditional standing areas so to say: http://www.fussballtempel.net/uefa/GER/Westfalenstadion8.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_1SQ4PYUuBUk/TQ4dsmEkq9I/AAAAAAAABkU/lCVzg3e5Nzo/DSCF4053.jpg Those would be much cheaper to install so this option should be looked at and pushed forward.
  13. Was in the telegraph today mentioning the clubs that Rangers owe money to for tickets, transfer fees etc. It also mentioned that ICT have already supplied Rangers with tickets for the game this month meaning we will be screwed in actually getting the money from Rangers, given that they owe other clubs money for tickets from games already played. Why did we do this? Other clubs have made Rangers and Hearts pay the money up front for tickets or have sold the away tickets themselves. We just said no bother and stuck them in the post?? If they have the same amount as Celtic that is about 3,500 for south, part of main and west stands. Tickets range from £30 to £20 for away fans for this game meaning that we will have lost out on near £100,000! Is there anything that can be done? Cancel tickets and re sell to away fans directly new tickets of a different colour? Seems a bit impractical. Our own fault it looks like for being naive.
  14. As good a song as it is we dont want to copy a song that is majorly assosiated with Celtic. Would just get the tag as mini this or that. We need something original. Many songs have been mentioned before and we actually do have many songs but the desire to sing them had deminished. We need to get a group going similar to green brigade...etc etc that sing and hav a laugh no matter what. We have more than enough songs that we sing on away games. I was going to list them but i cannne be bothered just now! But we have more than most teams at away games etc
  15. For a start there isn't any chance whatsoever he would ever be offered the job... But if he was he would be gone in a flash. You think Butcher would turn down being manager of England to stay at Caley Thistle
  16. Same little boys who were singing about Bobby Sands and fenians a few years ago and tried to justify it by saying they were getting behind their team. A total brain dead embarrassment to everyone.
  17. You are a cracker...always good or a laugh.
  18. Yes but how do you know you'll get that extra thousand bums? And the more people you have the more the cost to police them. Does it really though? Can we not just stay with the same numbers of police, if we are talking about lower half of the league teams. There have been police free SPL games this season, one involving us I think away to Motherwell? So we don't really need them at all!
  19. If Hayes get a decent offer he will leave. He doesn't need to show any loyalty by staying as he has been here 3 years already now and wouldn't be jumping ship or anything. He would leave if he can get paid a lot more money for doing the same job and play at a higher level. And the staying to develop argument doesn't really apply to Hayes. He isn't 17/18. By the time next season starts he will be 25. So he is past the developing stage and will be in his prime. If he stayed to develop for another year or 2 he would be heading towards 30! This is probably the best age in his career to move and give it a go at a bigger club and earn some serious money. He also wouldn't be thinking of going somewhere to sit on the bench, it happens but he is not a youngster that a club will buy with the intention of playing him in the future. If a club wants to sign him then Hayes will be right in thinking they see something in him and that he can play his way into being a first team regular where ever he goes. Saying that I really hope no one else wants him and he signs a 3 year deal! He will still be playing top flight football!
  20. Anyway...any one have an idea how ticket sales are going for this game?
  21. I used to get into the terracing for £3 as an under 16 in the first division. I don't get your point here? That was 8 years ago. I'm talking about our first division prices 2 seasons ago which I think were about £14-15 for a child of any age to pay into the game on the day. This was the cheapest walk up prices by the way. The same season County offered £3 for a child. And looking at their website now they still offer £3 child tickets for behind the goal. It is still only £4 for an Under 16 for the Stand and £8 for under 18. We charged an under 16 almost 4 times the price for a seat (behind the goal as opposed to the side of the pitch) to watch the same teams and 17 year olds almost double. It's a complete joke 1 game in the first division for ICT would get you 5 for County in the first division.
  22. Butcher should talk quicker! No problem when it comes to interviews :P
  23. They fixture backlog hurt them a few seasons ago. But this time the weather isn't as bad (at the moment anyway) and they don't have anywhere near the back log as they did before. A back log can be bad when you are chasing teams but they have a 5 point lead so really anything they pick up in those games is a bonus to their lead. They could even rotate the team to give others a rest.
  24. Our prices hav always been a joke. Even in the first division it would cost a child £14-15 to pay in to the North Stand on the day (£20 in the Main stand?) Over in Dingwall a child can walk up and pay in for £3!
  25. Your a baw bag! Couldn't open the link and for about 10 seconds I was depressed that he was leaving!! On Hayes, why hasn't he been offered a new contract yet! We should try and tie him up for 2-3 years so that when he does go we get a bit of money for him. Unless he has told Butcher that he wants to leave at the end of the season, otherwise he should really be offered a decent on asap.
