  1. Agree so far, Johndo but how about smileys for the fans? The Happy Birthday, dear Craigie brigade - The give me a C, give me a U brigade - :thumb04: :018: ;) :015: That ok with you?
  2. We will all miss you, Barry, on a personal and a footballing level. You are a true ICT legend as opposed to a leg end (the upper end). I recently suggested to your old man that the replacement management team should be Wilson and Wilson with him as manager and you as assistant/coach. He said, 'No way. Should be other way round as there was no way he wanted to take the weekly flak from us fans.' Lol Hope to see you back with us - sooner rather than later. Best wishes.
  3. Just a pity Tokes can't play in front of all his Paisley fans. ;) :thumb04: :018:
  4. Will you please leave Hastings alone. Gavin is still a very good full back!
  5. I'll be there. Going on Supporters bus (if there is one). Drove down last time to watch us lose 4 - 1 and couldn't even drown my sorrows! If we're there on time, see you in Hunters. SUPPORT THE SUPPORTERS CLUB.
  6. Craic is always good with Yogi. His language is worse than mine at times. He suggested we should visit a really rough pub sometime to hear what it's really like.

    Zander

Have seen him a few times in reserves where his performances have been a mix of good, bad and indifferent. It's obvious Brew doesn't like him as he's not not much of a target man for the high ball a la Brewster/Bayne/Wood. I might have included Rory in that last three but he can't jump as high as Zander.
  8. Lots of football fans are complete muppets and the internet, phone-ins etc gives them a voice. The fact that a significant proportion of Celtic fans hate Gordon Strachan despite him winning three titles in a row and getting the team further in the Champions League than ever before all on a smaller budget than his predecessor says it all. Can't blame celtic muppets for hating Strachan! I hate the wee ginger whinger too!
  9. Thanks for the timely reminder, Maim. I believe all the teams tomorrow will have poppies on their shirts. However i have also heard of a move on a certain Irish SPL team site to get fans to ignore the minutes silence and turn their backs on it. This because the silly barstewards mistakenly believe that the poppy is a symbol of British Imperialism instead of a reminder to all of the sacrifices made by people of all nationalities in the many wars of the 20th and 21st centuries. I sincerely hope this movement fails. Lest we forget.
  10. Alex Macleod said:- And so long as we cant even muster 3000 home fans on a saturday afternoon then that striker is never going to appear. But if someone could take Gary Wood aside and give him intense training and a jab to boost his maturity then I'd say 6' 2" and over thirteen stone should be what your looking for. Surely, Alex you yourself were one of the many who couldn't be ersed getting out of bed for this important game!!!!!!!!!! You are correct in saying that we need to attract more fans through the turnstiles. HOW? We can't even muster 25 fans who want to travel to Falkirk by Supporters Club bus though no doubt the usual suspects will be there. For the 3rd CIS away game in a row there will be no bus, but bigger clubs than us, like Morton could fill 7 buses to County for a game. BTW, I made the same suggestion re training Garry but I was referring to Rory, and I believe this is one of the main functions of a good management team.
  11. I'm inclined to agree that all this chat about Marius is leading us away from the real issue. Mr Brewster is unfortunately tactically inept. Todays tactic in foul weather was to punt high balls from box to box and hope Adam and Garry could feed off it. In that weather this was never going to happen. Sure we did try to work the ball on the ground at times but tended to run out of ideas on how to score. Why take off a striker and replace him with a midfielder when we were desperate for goals? If Barrowman was fit why did he only get 5 minutes? Why is there never anyone at the back of the box for corners etc? I certainly wouldn't blame any of the players for today's result. MacGhee's tactics in the second half won the game for them. I've said it before and I will no doubt say it again - Brewster MUST go and the sooner the better! And don't forget to take Malkie with you!
  12. After todays reserve game against St Mirren I feel I really need to add some comments. Firstly, even though I'm on the Supporters Club Committee. anything I post under the by-name of weeStie is my own personal opinion and in no way should it be taken as the opinion of other members. At the game today Rory performed in his usual fashion and at H-T I suggested quite loudly he should be hooked if only for tactical reasons as he was in Greenock. This brought some angry looks from some of his colleagues. TOO BAD! I have earned the right to criticise any player who consistently underperforms - after all, I am a paying customer and everyone at ICT should bear in mind who actually pays their wages - the fans! Any player can have a bad game but Rory doesn't even try. He pulls out of tackles; he doesn't chase the ball or the opportunity; he seems to have no enthusiasm for the game and he gives the impression that it's always someone else's fault. Now, I don't doubt he has some potential and our manager seems to believe in him and that one day he will come good. So why does he not do something about it. Someone should be taking him by the scruff of the neck and teach him how to tackle; how to take a tackle; how to jump (lessons from Blackie needed); how to time a jump; and, above all, set him an example in how to put in some effort - again, Blackie, Imrie, Duff are good examples. Many of the players will know who I am and I am quite prepared to take pelters from anyone for holding a wrong opinion, but I am not prepared to accept pelters for exoressing myself. Rory has had more chances than a lot of ex players with ICT and, I think it's time to start performing or GTF. PS. I've no idea whats on his Bebo site as I don't go there. Ali Williamson, ICT supporter and football fan.
  13. Rory should stick to tiddlywinks. He'll never make it as a footballer.
  14. Well, I'm just back from the game too at 0245 having had to deal with a rear offside blow out just outside Port Glasgow. Must say having watched 2 other p!sh poor performances this weekend at least the result was better if not the performance - thank gawd. The words Brewster and tactics should never be included in the same sentence unless separated by "knows Fcuk all about". Saving Rooney until extra time was plain crazy! On the plus side I must say a big thank you to the Morton fans we met outside the ground, in the Norseman before and in the chippie after the game. The police and stewards were a joy to deal with and an example of how to police a game. The young kids from Aviemore and the few students they were leading astray never stopped singing and chanting. They even came up with a few new ones (well, new to me). Keep it up. Lastly, unfortunately, the fish supper was possibly the worst I've ever not had. Looking forward to the next round when hopefully we'll get more fans and will be able to fill a bus thereby saving some stalwarts from another 400 mile round trip drive!
  15. Good idea, Scotty. However, when the Supporters Club committee decided on the date for their Race Night, they were not aware that it would clash with Gringo Jnr's wedding since none of us had been invited. :thumb04:
  16. I am seriously considering driving down for this game. Back in '67 when I was at college in Stafford, one of my flatmates was a great Burnley fan. Course they were a First Division team back then and Willie Morgan was one of their best players before Man U signed him up. Can't remember much about the rest of the team tho'. I've always wanted to go to Turf Moor since then. Thanks Claret fan for all the info. All the best.
  17. I got my new top on Wednesday and it's a 5xl which wasn't available last year. It's a bit big on me and I think even CaleyD could wear it Ha Ha.
  18. Hey Rod. Did Mr Blair help with the spell check?
  19. Born Caley Please write several songs. Gawd knows we need them.
  20. Since Barry and the testimonial committee can invite guest players, I was just wondering if we shouldn't invite two ex Liverpool players to attend? John Barnes and Kenny Dalglish, considering how much we did to advance their respective careers. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

    The Long Ball

That was hilarious! He sent it flying into the gravel! The poor guy got up looking for an apology but Roy just jogged away! :015: Sorry, RIG. That wasn't funny at all. The photographers can't get insurance for their kit at matches and it's bloody expensive to replace. A few weeks ago one of them got a telephoto lens smashed and had to replace it out of his own pocket.
  22. As a point of interest we have never finished in the lower (or should that be lowest) quarter of the SPL. What about a Wilson Sen/Wilson Jun partnership?
  23. I reckon we have the answer to our central defender problems right here at ICT. We have three who are miles better than McGuire in Proctor, Kerr and Watt and Proctor can also fill in at RB or in midfield. We do need however midfielders who can get up in support of the striker(s), and strikers who can play alongside each other. We also need a manager/coach who has some idea of tactics. We recently had Roy playing at LB while Richard moved in to cover for Grant. Now that works fine until Roy goes missing in centre or even right midfield leaving Dougie exposed to cover LB. What the f is that all about Mr B? On a point of interest regarding strikers I see our leading scorer from last season has only scored ONE this season. Was that good business for CC or for Gus? Thank god I'm not a manager or coach or even D of F. :tic01: :tic01:
  24. That you recruiting for the Supporters Trust, Laura? alimci - just get in touch with Lady Kath Fraser, :003:
  25. See from today's paper the local MS therapy centre in Harbour Road is desperate to raise 90K for running costs this year. I think it's a scandal that this place is not fully supported by the NHS as it covers the whole Highlands. Glad to see so many from the club sponsoring IHE this year. Can we have a sponsored silence next year Johndo? :rotflmao:
