Seems unlikely based on this although there are no comments from the player or managers. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-united/276380/exclusive-dundee-united-fail-gary-mackay-steven-loan-bid-celtic/?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed

[merged] : John Hughes Interview (BBC)
Pretty classless from Hughes to be honest, not that I'm surprised anymore. Absolutely no issue with what he was trying to do regarding keeping our better players but perhaps a more proactive approach in getting contracts handed out would help. His style of football, when it was working, was good to watch, he really took a lot of the players up another level and he achieved some incredible stuff with ICT but poor moves in the transfer market, assembling a shockingly unbalanced team, refusal to change his style of play when it clearly wasn't working and falling out with a number of players and other off field staff meant his time had come As a Falkirk fan said on P & B he's a lot smarter than people think but he's nowhere near as smart as he thinks he is. Comments like those in that interview probably reflect that.

Hope we tell Aberdeen that Tansey as a clause in his contract to sell him for £500,000, let Aberdeen bid that much for him then tell them to f'ck off just to wind them up.

I'd be surprised if Tansey isn't an Aberdeen player by next summer but a lot of folk have always said the player they really need is a Draper character. A big horrible b@st@rd in the middle of the pitch to just destroy everything. I'd rather lose Tansey than Draper especially right now.

Here are some quotes from Saint Johnstone fans on P & B:

Poor defender with almost no positional sense and prone to errors. Massively underwhelmed by this but if he does sign hopefully Warren and Meekings stay fit.

I've been reading some interesting stories about some flags that Toronto fans take to games....

Doesn't change the fact that this is a Virgin Media venture as part of their sponsorship deal with Southampton.

It's nothing to do with Virgin Trains. It's Virgin Media, Southampton's shirt sponsor, who are subsidising tickets for fans.

Inverness CT -V- St Johnstone
Must admit I didn't realise just how bad a record Saint Johnstone had up in Inverness. I guess our record in Perth must be clouding my judgement. Regardless, it was a much improved performance compared to recent weeks and the players looked much more like a team and were showing what they can be capable of. Players like Tansey, who has been below par for a number of months now, had a really good game and Horner, in for the benched Raven, did fine at Rb despite a couple of early wobbles. Fisher justified his selection ahead of Boden as he won a number of high balls although his finishing was still a bit poor but he was a handful for the Saint Johnstone centre backs throughout the game. man of the Match for me was Draper who yet again took the game by the scruff of the neck and really get the ball down and drive at the Saints defence more often than not drawing a foul. He may not have the guile of someone like Andrew Shinnie but he is an immensely powerful attacking force to drive you forward and he's been the only real highlight for ICT so far this season. I thought both teams were quite well matched in the first half. We had more of the ball and probably had more chances overall but Saints also had a couple of good opportunities to grab a goal. After a good save by Mannus from a Draper header Fisher passed up a couple of glorious chances, including one from a sublime chipped pass from Vigurs, before King ended a lovely ICT move by flashing a shot wide of goal. Saints has good chances too with Kane blasting over after good work by Swanson down the Inverness right flank and the same player chipped in a wonderful ball for Maclean but it just eluded him and drifted wide. Opening goal was a brilliant free kick whipped in by Tansey putting the keeper under real pressure and, as alluded to elsewhere, was quite similar to the goal that Falkirk scored against us in the Scottish Cup Final, with Draper rising above Davidson to power the ball into the net. Really good goal. Not long after this Davidson met a cross with a glancing header that just sailed wide of the home goal but Saints did pull level when ICT struggled to clear their lines and Maclean won a header and laid it off to Foster who had been let go by King and the former County man rifled in a cracking equaliser. A good strike but disappointing to concede after a momentary loss of concentration. Draper nearly put us back ahead when another header on goal was this time saved by Mannus who was having a storming game but we got a deserved winner after chaotic scenes in the penalty area. Warren, Meekings, Boden all tried to poke the ball home from close range before Meekings squeezed it in at the post to bag the three points. Mulraney should have made the game safe when he burst through one on one with Mannus but he skewed his shot well wide of the goal. Certainly a deserved win. not quite perfect but a marked improvement from recent games. Good on Foran for dropping players who have under performed recently. Nothing against Raven but he hasn't been playing well recently and Horner did fine stepping in at RB. Doumbouya looked a handful when he came on. Not very quick but good at holding the ball up and linking with team mates. Good be an asset but he isn't very different from Fisher or Boden. A nippy striker might be useful to have however I suspect we'll be strengthening the defence over getting another forward in. Foran has said we should have two new faces before the wind shuts. Will be interesting to see what is lined up.

Southampton fans (and others) are lucky that their main sponsor is able to subsidise the cost of tickets for away games. As before, the English game is awash with money so they can afford to do things like this. Unless we suddenly find one of our sponsors subbing tickets then they will just be the usual price.

Strip
Missed this. Will the club get money back from Cabrini given they've failed to meet their contractual obligations (and they might even have done so last year)?

In the interests of fairness why don't you give the club the chance to comment? As can be seen from another posters experience (s)he wrote to them and received a prompt response inviting them in for a discussion about it - with the chairman no less! I am sure the same offer would be made to you if you got in touch with the club and you are unlikely to get a more 'authoritative' response from anyone else there than the chairman.

Strip
Doesn't matter if there is a contract in place to provide the strips by a certain date. I would be interested to know when the first lot of tops was meant to have arrived or if the club had already agreed to taking delivery at the end of August / start of September - basically, what was the agreed delivery date in any contract?

For something that is so unacceptable to you I am staggered that you haven't approached the club directly with your concerns. OCG hasn't said anything that I can see about closing the thread. Instead she, along with others, have advised that to get answers to the questions you have you would be far better placed writing or emailing the club. Whilst people from the club do read this forum they are unlikely to be able to respond to every single question raised on here. Stick it in an email to them and you are much more likely to get an answer than sitting waiting for one to appear here. You say that the situation could have been cleared up very quickly yet seem to have little interest in taking the bull by the horns and contacting the club directly to get answers.

That's not what I've said at all. What I am saying is that if you feel aggrieved about this decision regarding the badge then contacting the club directly instead of posting on here is more likely to solicit a response to your query. This thread was started on the 12th of July - six weeks ago today I think. In that time, had aggrieved parties chosen to write to the club, they would almost certainly have had an answer by now.

Given you've been met with silence I think that's your answer but if you write to the club I think you would be more likely to get something back from them.

Can ictfcsince1994 confirm if there is any money in the budget to sign Gunning?

You're surely more likely to get an answer if you write to the club as opposed to asking questions on an internet forum?

Twitter seems to be going a bit nuts and suggesting Gavin Gunning is on trial with us. Please no!

Hearts -V- Inverness CT
No. You can compare the averages of what teams pay but you can't, with any real accuracy, deduce who has a bigger or smaller playing budget from those averages without having more figures.
