  1. Bonnyrigg away please.
  2. Paton at QotS has been banging the goals in but there may be a stumbling block over a development fee given we are unlikely to be shelling out any cash for players. Also rumoured to be heading to Livi or England so we won't be able to complete there if those rumours are true.
  3. First point - does he though? We've gone through two or three seasons now with no "proper" right back. Carson has filled in admirably but many would argue that we still lack a dedicated RB. Equally, our lack of striking options for a good chunk of this season arguably falls at Dodds' door as well. Offloading Oakley and not bringing someone in to help Mckay was a bizarre move. It left us very light at a crucial time in the season. Second point - we've spent just as long in the top tier as we have done in the second. The SPL/Premiership has, until recently, been our level. If teams like Livingston and Saint Johnstone can remain in the top flight there is nothing to suggest that we couldn't do that and we should be aspiring to that level. Of course, there are plenty of other teams who will think like that but I completely disagree with the notion that the Championship is our level. It might be for a while but historically it has not been. I do agree however that to stay in the top flight we would really need a generous backer. It's becoming clear that trying to maintain full time football in Scotland outwith the top flight is becoming notoriously difficult. The losses sustained by Falkirk and others show that. Even MacGregor at Ross County seems to be talking about winding in the spending but I suspect they will keep writing blank cheques to offset their losses. And yes I am aware that we also have been bleeding cash
  4. There's a few online sites saying Shaw is contracted until 2024. Can't see anything from the in confirming the length of the deal when his signing was announced. I thought he was on a 2 year deal as well but looks like that could be wrong.
  5. Two year deal for Dodds announced.
  6. And Dundee, Livingston and Saint Johnstone ETA: Just seen the Killie tweet. Apologies.
  7. The club have confirmed that Deas will be moving on but state that offers being / have been made with updates to follow in the coming days.
  8. Why? They didn't look nervous until the final 10 / 15 minutes when County seemed to realise they were in deep trouble. Some bottle job in fairness.
  9. Allardice will be away as well. Obviously the likes of Henderson and MacKay will return to their parent clubs as well. Think we could see a few players move on this summer.
  10. I doubt a side that has scored 18 goals in their last 5 games will be a bit nervous about their next game.
  11. There was a recent Twitter storm about boo boys which I'm sure plenty of you are aware of. These tongue in cheek stickers are the result of that. The Buzz Lightyear should give folk a clue as well.
  12. The home game against Dundee at the end of the 09/10 season would possibly come close. Dundee barely took any fans up and I think we had something like 6,000 there.
  13. The latest episode of The Wyness Shuffle has a load of chat, interviews and other stuff as the guys look ahead to the game on Saturday. How do you like the sound of: Looking back at previous wins over Celtic with interviews with Stuart Golabek, Dennis Wyness, Ross Tokely and James Vincent? Captain Sean Welsh updating us on how preparations for the big day are coming along? A chat with Natasha Meikle from the Celtic State of Mind podcast? All you need to know about the Highland Fling on the Ferry? The reveal of another Cup Final song?
  14. I believe that we won 2 - 0 against Nairn County.
  15. Malkmus came with receipts.
  16. Yes. I'd say Queens Parks collapse and end of season form is, obviously, much worse as we weren't seven points clear at the top of the table with only a handful of games left.
  17. Four points from their last seven games. Ouch.
  18. Woods isn't here on loan.
  19. We won't have been offering contracts as we'll have had no definitive idea of what league we were going to end up in nor the playing budget to work with.
  20. Ayr fully deserved that win last night. All over us from the get go and looked better all over the pitch for most of the game. We did get on top for a period in the second half but even then they still looked a threat on the break. Thought at the time the opener may have been offside but the videos above clearly show he was on. Bizarre from Dodds to watch us shell long balls forward to Mckay (but most of the time it was no one) and think this was okay. So many players fell flat at a time when we needed them. Worst was Allardice who had an absolute nuke of a performance. Taking on Woods instead of Doran was laughable. Just more bizarre Dodds moments that sum up our season. As I've said before results recently have been good but performances have been poor for a good number of weeks. We were able to shitfest our way past jobbers like Cove but when a decent team like Ayr comes along we're found wanting. The league next season could be the most difficult in a while and it's hard not to feel we've missed our best chances to get out of here now.
  21. Yeah this is a must win game. Anything less than 3 points and we are putting our feet up until the Scottish Cup Final.
  22. So neither clubs wanted it. Seems they were barely consulted. The majority of the fans seem against it. Debatable if the players like the idea. All this to appease the BBC and Viaplay so they can screen another match from a different country which may still overlap with the SCF. The SFA deserve all the pelters they are getting for this pathetic decision.
  23. A late KO scuppers fans who may want to get public transport back north after the match.
  24. That the SFA have not come out to rubbish this story suggests to the very cynical part of me that there is more than a grain of truth in the story.
  25. Is it just Viaplay though? Given the BBC will be screening both I'd imagine they are also heavily involved. Anyway, changing the KO time for the Scottish Cup final because of a match in another country sums up the tinpot nature of the game here.
