Accies at home Tuesday night
Accies were the side we took the fewest points from last season IIRC. Need to turn that around given our likely respective battles this season.

Cove Rangers away
Dreadful game and a very poor attacking performance from us but with so many players out perhaps that was to be expected. Boyd did well to follow up and bag his goal from close range but apart from an effort in the second half from the same player and maybe Mckay I can't think of much we did of any note in that game. Cove had a lot of the ball and created some decent looking chances at times but nothing too threatening. Ridgers had to make one or two good saves but was largely untroubled. Appalling refereeing performance. Highlight was Logan giving it big licks to a small handful of ICT fans after Cove "scored" only for the goal to be chalked off and him left to look a massive throbber. Pleasing.

How long do we wait until questioning the gaffer?
Seems like anytime a thread like this appears we seem to go on an improved run to turn things around a bit.

SPFL Trust Trophy 2022/23
I saw some comments about Main Stand ticket holders being able to reserve their seats but that link above posted by @Robert doesn't seem to suggest that is the case. Has it been updated or have I missed something? I don't mind folk being put into the Main Stand really. I doubt there will even been reason to open the South Stand either given how few people will likely attend this one.

Raith Rovers -V- Inverness CT
I can see now why Rovers fans were so pessimistic despite our rotten form. Apart from the first 15 - 20 minutes were they looked lively and we lacked any composure at the back, they were rotten. Gullan was their only real threat before he went off injured and after that I felt we were the better team overall and deserved the win. Odd line up with Harper seemingly playing as a CM but then it became clear that was actually playing further forward behind Oakley. He didn't look like a complete fish out of water but it's hard to say he excelled there. Boyd also looked pretty lost for most of the game but on the positive side Devine and Delaney were solid at the back. The former seldom lost an aerial dual and Delaney timed his challenges very well and broke up a number of Rovers attacks down his side. He looked comfortable stepping out of defence with the ball at his feet as well. Probably my MotM. Best chances for Raith were probably the cracking volley from the aforementioned Gullan that drifted just wide and a curling effort that Ridgers superbly turned round the post. Great run by MacKay for the penalty. He had Kevin McKidd on toast for most of that game so it wasn't much of a surprise to see him be beaten yet again and having to scythe MacKay down. Nicely taken by Allardice. Bit of fortune with the second goal. After a comedy clearance by Carson, a Raith throw in ended up with MacKay and as he controlled the ball he did so with his arm as he broke down the right side. Undeterred he sent in a fine low cross which found Mckay in acres of space and he steadied himself before coolly slotting past Scottish Cup hero Jamie MacDonald. Given our patched up starting XI and recent performances it was a cracking result but we still look poor in places and whilst it was good to get a win we will need to seriously improve against Hamilton next week if we want to take 3 points there.

Motherwell -V- Inverness CT - LC
Is that 4 penalties conceded in the last 3 games? And Duffy at RB? F'ck me.

That 03/04 side would throw our current line up around like an empty tracksuit.

"...lack of controls by the production company..." Forgive my ignorance here but is ICTCC Ltd the production company? If it is then that's lamentable management of the finances for these shows and if it isn't it doesn't sound like they were keeping a particularly close watch on what was going on / didn't have appropriate "safeguards" in place to limit any financial issues becoming their concern when they should really have been borne by the production company. Another fine mess...

Inverness v Morton - Preview
I don't think Chalmers is as big a miss as some make out. He did score some cracking goals but sometimes he did often go missing in games. That said, his finishes were the result of not being afraid to have a crack at goal and I felt we were pretty hesitant at times to pull the trigger on Saturday and he would still be a better option than Boyd or Shaw from the little I have seen from them. Saturday was just very deflating. After being sworded so convincingly by Partick I was expecting a reaction from the players and the manager and there was just nothing whatsoever on show. We were so timid (a word I think Dodds used post match) and meekly pawed at the Morton defence without breaking through. It was an utterly unenthralling 90 minutes.

Very surprised at this comment. Boyd offered nothing from my POV apart from continuously trying to cut back onto his right foot when he got close to the box and dribble into an opposition player, Shaw was okay and apart from the goal I thought Oakley did nothing apart from give the ball away. I think that with every single change we made we got even worse. It was an utterly lamentable performance. Literally nothing positive to take away from the game.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
I doubt we even picked up the phone TBH. We're well covered in terms of numbers in that area of the pitch so there was no need to get in touch with him. A lot different from Mackay when Raith were moving to get him and we needed reinforcements out wide.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
We can't just sign every player that becomes available. Of course I'd love to have gotten Scott Allan in but we've got Boyd. MacGregor and Doran in the squad all of whom can play as a 10. Allan is arguably better than any of them but we cannot jettison these guys to make room for him*. If we didn't have Boyd then maybe we could have made a move but hindsight is a wonderful thing. * I know in the past we've gotten rid of someone like Doumbouya to free up space for Mckay returning but that's the exception rather than the rule.

Inverness CT -V- Queens Park - Preview
The BBC couldn't a stuff about the Scottish leagues outside of the Premiership so we shouldn't be surprised. I thought we probably should have won the game on Saturday but our poor finishing was our downfall. Continue like that and we won't be doing much this season. I feel Dodds making the subs when he did stalled our momentum. We seemed to be in the ascendancy but after Samuels and Boyd went off Queens Park got back into the game. I could see why Samuels was taken off. He wasn't really influencing the game much but I thought Boyd was going okay. Defensively we looked a bit suspect. A couple of times we allowed Queens Park players to run a good 30 or 40 yards unchallenged before they got a shot away. We paid for it once in the first half and almost did so again in the second. Mckay, MacKay and MacGregor all performed well in flashes. Roddy had some lovely touches in the middle of the pitch but I felt he was sitting a little too deep for my liking. Would have been nice to see him pressed further forward. Harper continues to show good form at left back and is looking a lot better defensively so far this season which is great to see. Queens looked a useful side once they got their goal and settled down but after the opening 15 minutes or so I thought we were going to run away with it. Didn't quite work out like that and Ridgers had to make some important saves in the first half to keep us in it. Big improvements are needed for sure.

The new season and the perils of planning ahead
Yeah I expect Dundee to be this season Killie in terms of TV appeal. I'd imagine a good chunk of their away games will be on Friday nights.

The new season and the perils of planning ahead
Could you fly to Edinburgh? If so then you could: 1) Get a tram to Edinburgh Gateway station and then get a train from there to Dundee; 2) Get a bus or tram to Haymarket and get a train from there to Dundee: or 3) Get a bus or tram to Edinburgh city centre and get a train or bus to Dundee.
