  1. Every penalty taker should do this - follow up their shot. In fact they should do it in open play as well or at least a team mate should in case of any spills or lucky break of the ball. I just clicked watching the highlights there but why does the referee allow play to go on when Riordans spot kick hits the bar and then hits Riordan again?

Obviously a big fan of Duff to have him in the starting XI as well as the subs bench!

Good shout there actually. I forgot that the two of them could simply switch round. I think we might see Riordan pull to the left quite often like he did against Rangers and he contributed sod all. Certainly he's not the quickest and Tokely might enjoy that if he was to play at RB! That said, I think I'd prefer the idea of Tokely and Munro standing up to Nish as opposed to Munro and Proctor.

All this time without domestic football is doing my head in so I think we should start looking forward to playing Hibs. Seems like there will be a good crowd heading down to this one so hopefully the team will do us proud. I'd take a point myself but wouldn't be adverse to a cheeky win in the capital. I'd line up (barring any injuries I'm unaware of): Esson Proctor Tokely Munro Gillet Cox Duncan Hayes Odihambo Ross Rooney With Duff coming in that gives us an extra option in the midfield. Depending on how training goes through the week I would stil expect that team to start however Duff might come in for Ross and Odihambo could push to the side and Duff take up a CM spot. Looking forward to seeing Hayes go up against Muray who will be roasted and resort to his familiar tactic of trying to haul his opponent down by his shirt. Hibs have obviously lost Stokes to Celtic which is great news for us as he seems to bag a goal or two when we face him. However we still need to recognise the "Colin Nish Hypothesis" which nets the big man at least a goal against ICT. I think he has scored something like 7 or 8 goals against us. Munro and Tokely will need to be strong against him. Hassling the likely midfield pair of Rankin and Miller will also be key to our success. C'mon ICT!
  5. Don't quite agree with you there. I've heard this was only a short term deal 6 months - end of the season type arrangement just to provide some cover for injuries and suspensions.
  6. From what I was hearing yesterday this was only a short term deal. Any news on the length of contract caleyrule?
  7. I am sure I posted on Rivals but maybe it was under a different username?
  8. I joined back in the days of Rivals. My major memory from that time was a story about how we were going to redevelop the stadium and the stand behind the goals was going to be called the "Dolphin End" or something like that.
  9. I seriously can't wait for the Hibs game then we won't have threads like this kicking about on the forum. I'm all for discussion but the last couple of pages have been absolute cringe material.
  10. I haven't heard much from the Capri Sun Casuals. I wonder if they'll make a return next weekend..
  11. Not sure about that (not I don't think it's a good idea more I'm not sure how it would work) but there is a "league table" for reputation at the following link in case no one has stumbled across it: http://community.caleythistleonline.com/index.php?app=reputationpoints

There's some really angry people on this forum just now
  13. So beers in at your place then Chris?
  14. Stupid fat fingers! :irritated:
  15. I can see big things kicking off between the Hibs CSS and "The Sesh Army". There's a history between these guys and it looks like it could boil over this weekend. Most of Edinburghs police have been drafted in to the Leith area as a precautionary measure.
  16. Gow is rubbish. I'd rather we signed no one than snapped him up. Unless someone improves on what we have is there much point getting them in? Otherwise we'll have another Gary McSwegan.
  17. Ah right got you now. I thought it was an early KO and I had forgotten about it!
  18. I don't follow...
  19. I love how the wee team are so obsessed with us.
  20. Perhaps the most mind boggling transfer that has surfaced so far aside from Wolves signing Marcus Bent.
  21. I've heard a few folk mention the Llyods bar in the Omni centre.
  22. Very sad news indeed. Condolences to the Coia family and friends :(
  23. Love a wee trip to Easter Road. I'm in.

I agree with Dalneigh Caley. The away fans are great, don't get me wrong. They make a lot of noise and get behind the team but the home fans do this to (honest!). Instead of trying to widen an alleged divide I think it would be better to put any money into improving the home atmosphere where it tends to be poorer than away games.
