  1. I think Tokelys challenge could be considered "serious foul play" myself. I certainly think those types of tackles, be they from teh side or from behind, fall into that category.
  2. Strongly disagree. It makes no difference if you get the ball or not, it can still be a foul and a red card. You can't challenge like that anymore. Strongly agree. There is a clear kicking motion into Hayes midriff whilst he is on the ground. There may not be a stamp but you cannot kick players and expect to get away with it. A fully warranted red card. Hopefully the SPL / SFA or whoever it is laugh out the appeal.
  3. Apparently Stuart Duff updated his Facebook on Saturday to simply say "Easy! "Easy!"
  4. Nah I disagree about Tokely and I think he was lucky to only get a yellow. Back in the day you could get away with that kind of tackle but not now. Lunging in late and from behind / side on to an opponent is normally asking for trouble. Despite what McGhee might say Paton deserved to walk.

  6. Quality bump! Well if it isn't us and it certainly isn't you who is it? Fraserburgh? Banks o' Dee?
  7. There's an obvious solution to the atmosphere issue - hand out megaphones, massive flags and flares to fans as they enter the ground. That'll create a very noisey and intimidating atmosphere
  8. I can't believe that after our first win against Aberdeen in Inverness in a competitive game we are back to this Main Stand v North Stand rubbish. I was in the North STand I could hardly hear a peep for a lot of the game but when the fans got going they were clearly audible. but there was certainly no "relentless chanting". The Main Stand, when they got a chant going, could also be heard around the stadium. There was even some noise coming from the "West Stand"! Instead of pigeon holing other ICT fans how about we just say well done to all the fans in all the stands when they did sing and got behind the team. The players clearly appreciate it
  9. Watched the red card incident again and I think he deserved to go. As Hayes lies on the ground you clearly see Paton dig his foot into the stomach of Hayes. A stupid thing to do and a definite red card.
  10. Aberdeen were disgusting. Bar the offside goal and one, maybe two headers, in the second half they offered up absolutely nothing for their sizeable away support to cheer. Diamond goal was ruled out for offside apparently. I wondered if maybe it was one of these invisible fouls you see given from a corner or free kick into the box. Would need another look at it though. Hayes was enjoying his duel with Considine who was struggling to get to grips with our flying Irishman. Ross was also doing well on the other flank with Foran tucked into the middle with Duncan to stifle the Aberdeen midfield. Odihambo wondered across the front line behind Rooney and between them they all had great success in pulling the Aberdeen defence apart. Diamond and Ifil looked woeful for large parts of that game and it was no surprise that we went ahead although the manner in which we did might have been. Hayes looked to sending in a cross with his left and it rocketed into the top corner with Howard flapping at thin air (shock). In the second half Aberdeen came more into the game and pressed us back but we still looked good on the counter. There were a couple of chances of note for Aberdeen, the best one falling to Mackie who sent a header straight at Esson from a good cross from the left. Not too long after this we doubled our lead. A thunderous kick downfield by Esson left the Aberdeen centre backs in disarray and Rooney nipped in ahead of a sluggish Howard, who took an eternity to come off his line, and lift it into the net. two up and game essentially over. To make it even easier for us Michael Paton decided to get himself sent off. Hayes tackled him and whilst Hayes was on the ground it looked like Paton turned and kicked him whilst he was down. Murray was right on the spot to issue a red card. Tokely could also have seen red for his challenge that saw Megginson stretchered off. It was a bad challenge from behind. Hopefully the Aberdeen lad isn't too badly hurt. Hayes, Rooney and Ross all had further chances to add to our tally but by then it looked like we were more than content with what we had. Thoroughly deserved win over a Dons team that lacked pretty much everything you need to win a football game.
  11. I read this on P & B. It's great because it covers your changes as well so you can travel from Inverness - Killie including changes at Glasgow for the aforementioned ?18. Bargain! Good spot Ross

Every club in the SPL as part of the TV deal has 2 or maybe 3 of their Home games shown live over the course of the season. Of course this means Sky can have Hamilton v One Half of the Old Firm one week and then ICT v One Half of the Old Firm and then Kilmarnock v One Half of the Old Firm and so on. OF on pretty much every week whilst still complying with the terms of the TV deal and giving the rest of us the 2 or 3 Home games we are due.

Regardless of the number of competitions there are other factors which could affect him being able to get time off. As MabawswaRichie says he doesn't need to explain himself on here. If he can't make it then that's it really. Hopefully those who can make it generate a good atmosphere. I fancy our chances this weekend

In fairness to Mahonio travel is one of the problems he faces. Fair enough there are trains that he could get but it's made pretty clear that getting time off is another problem that he has to deal with. No point booking a train to Inverness and back if he hasn't got the time off.
  15. From a selfish point of view it's great for me as I can have Dominos before the game and still play in my Wednesday League. My one "Home" game this season I think (depending on the split).
  16. I would be very surprised if he reappears at Dens Park.
  17. Dundee will go into administration this week according to Sky Sports News.

Is the Aberdeen game being played in Aberdeen?
  19. Also Clyde are beyond garbage.
  20. I look forward to Mahonios thoughts on this result.
  21. Come on lads. Let's knuckle down and grab a vital three points!

To be honest, I cared so little about this game I pretty much forgot it was even on. I'd be much more upset if we lost to St. Mirren by one goal than losing to Celtic by six in the CIS Cup. Yes it was a bad result but in the grand scheme of things it will mean nothing in a matter of weeks whereas the St. Mirren game is of much more importance to ICT. The only bad thing about last nights result is whether or not the guys confidence has been knocked.
