  1. Celtic :moon2: Manchester Derby is getting interesting now.
  2. Think it was more ?33.6 million but who's counting? :022: I think they were quite happy not to let him to go to Man City simply because they were able to retain him for another few months and get them into the CL again. That alone would make up the shortfall in transfer cash.
  3. I see Andy Jackson has signed for Arbroath for a month on loan. He showed huge promise at Saint Johnstone a few seasons back. I wouldn't have been unhappy if we had made a move for him.
  4. To be honest Pirlo and Cambiasso are pretty different to really compare. Unless you just looked at some kind of generic midfield comparison. I think they are both excellent players. Real were mad for letting Cambiasso go. Milan have little money to spend. They need a huge overhaul of their defence and a lot of their midfield. Replacing Dida would be handy as well. However the capital to do all of that isn't there. Džeko will be the main signing this summer of they can get him. Gourcuff could've been an outstanding player for them but injuries and a strained relationship with Ancelotti put paid to his Milan career. He has fairly turned it on at Bordeaux though. Check this goal out: (Can't embed the video).
  5. It's going to be a one team league for time yet sadly. Just in addition to a couple of your earlier points - you've forgotten Pirlo when comparing midfields and whilst he might lack the bite of Cambiasso, his range of passing and superb set pieces offer something else. With regards to Milans team and who is actually worth the transfer fee you have forgotten Pato who is now worth many times what Milan paid for him initially. Seedorf is an odd one - I view him as the worst best player ever :tonguecheek: Here's a nice video from a Milan point of view anyway which shows the talent of Pato and also some of the skill players like Pirlo and Seedorf can produce:
  6. First Italian game in a while was it?
  7. Mo Camara? :cry01: For goodness sake!
  8. He was excellent against Genoa displaying some excellent skill at times. Against beter teams he is average at best. He is turgid. Hysterically Juventus signed him for reasons completely unknown.
  9. He was ruled out of the game last Tuesday with a thigh strain. There is absolutely no chance he wouldn't have played if he wasn't injured.

    "If true" remember...
  11. Nothing to do with his talent really. I just think he (Leonardo) wanted a midfielder / defender and Huntelaar wasn't a priority for him. However he still shows what he is capable of but he is very much behind Pato and Borrelio in the pecking order. Exactly what I said to my pals last night. Inter had Sneijder running from midfield to support the forwards. Milan had no one bar a wandering Ronaldinho and a right touchline hugging Beckham. Nothing whatsoever bursting from central midfield.

    What?
  13. RiG replied to Kingsmills's topic in Caley Thistle
    He'll miss "Juanjos" cooking.
  14. Copy and paste from Wiki. I would probably have spelt the guys name wrong otherwise!
  15. There were very strong rumours of a move last summer and Milan were reportedly not far off striking a deal with Wolfsburg. But he seemed to be one of many players they were after - Fabiano was another. Their whole team needs a drastic overhaul but the funds aren't there to do it. Galliani will behappy enough if Leanardo can get them into the Champions League. They should have enough to finish 2nd in Serie A. I still can't believe that Inter snapped Sneijder up for ?10 million. Bargain of the last few years I reckon.
  16. Huntelaar was bought simply to appease the fans after the sale of Kaka and missing out on the likes of D?eko. I don't think Leaonardo ever really wanted him there.
  17. Quality patter lads. Take it to PMs if you really want to carry it on (amusing as it is I must say).

Portsmouth need to get rid of James because if he plays one more game he has to be offered a new deal. A bit like Michael Ball when he was at Rangers and they stopped playing him because if he played another match Everton were due ?X amount as a bonus payment. Because he's past his best even for a team in as dire straits as Atletico.
  19. I'll be honest - I find myself caring less and less about going to games. I'd rather save my money for other things in life. Football simply isn't as high a priority to me as it used to be. Anyway, every game is an Away game for me since we were relegated. If I go to any games, 9 times out of 10 it will be the Home ones.
  20. Sebastiano Rossi was a legend! I remember he faced a penalty and after the team scored it and the player ran to get the ball out of the net Rossi floored him with a punch Milan were poor last night. After Sneijder went off (no way a straight red, a yellow card definitely) you would find it hard to believe that Inter were one man down as AC seemed to offer so little going forward apart from maybe one 10 minute spell in the second half. Maicon is a diving prick. Every time someone came near him he threw himself to the ground looking for a free kick and he won the free kick from which Pandev grabbed the killer second. A brilliant strike and a wise buy from Lazio. Dida is simply honking but he is the best of a bad bunch. The vast majority of that Milan team needs overhauled with Pato being pretty much the only "shining light" at the club. Just can't see past Inter for the title but I don't see them getting far in Europe.
  21. Had it been against the likes of Ayr or Morton then you might have more cause for optimism but it was against QotS who are on of the best teams in the league. A draw at Palmerston is a very good result for any team.
  22. Carlos Tevez Carlos Tevez Somewhat hypocritical but still funny. All Neville seems to be used for at the minute is to "wind up" opposition fans / players.
  23. Utterly farcical. What is the point of the SFA? This season we have had the Livi farce which went round and round and now this.

We also need players who can do that as well.

Interesting that you have (while he was on the pitch) in brackets. What about when they weren't on the pitch?
