  1. Indeed it has and I'm not going to go back there but I bet the other subs warming up were very impressed with what was being said. Regardless, our home crowd is no different to any other home crowd at a football game. They are always quiet. Eitehr do something about it or deal with it.
  2. No there isn't. Say goodbye to a lot of Section G then because a lot of the negative stuff comes from people in that area. I refer back to the booing of our substitutes like Barrowman and the abuse of our sub keeper because he is a County fan. Again I will point out that it isn't all of them but there have been frequent comments on here after games about some of the stuff being shouted at the guys warming up by fans in this section. This I agree with. I thought it was a shame that our first Home win in so long was greeted with a mass walkabout. You'd almost think we had lost! The Inverness Real should come back for the County game.
  3. Pretty much the only thing he did win. However he did boot Neil Lennon in the face and get away with it B)
  4. It was only a few seasons back that Gerrard was about to agree a move to Chelsea. He isn't that loyal to Liverpool.
  5. What are the current PotY standings?
  6. You're thinking of Jeremy Kyle. He should hand out free DNA testing kits to County fans.

    9.
  8. Jerry Springer would feel right at home in the North Stand. There's always plenty of booing from the crowd.

I will need to consult my Paul Sheerin journal when I get home from work :D

I mind him skinning Andy Alky McLaren in a cup game in Inverness and the Killie man responded by kicking Peanuts leg and getting himself a red card for his petulance

As mentioned Ayr were competing with Livingston for promotion to the SPL. Whilst Livi were spending money they didn't have Ayr also were handing out some tasty contracts to players. Sheerin was one of them moving on a bosman to United and more than doubling his wages in the process. Ayr also signed Pat McGinlay and John Hughes among others. Posters might also remember Gary Teale and Glynn Hurst playing for Ayr around that time as well. As we all know Livi went on to win the league, Ayr couldn't sustain the high wages and players left as costs mounted and the club fell away before being relegated to SFL2 and Sheerin himself moved on to Aberdeen reuniting with Paterson and scoring a few goals for Aberdeen but he was generally viewed as a poor signing by some Aberdeen fans. My favourite Paul Sheering memory was in a BCC Semi v Livingston and he scored the only goal of the game in the final couple of minutes. He ran across to the terraching behind the goals where he met the celebrating fans and grabbed me and hugged me. I had Paul Sheerins sweat and general moistness all over me and I refused to wash it off. Then I realised how much I smelled and jumped in the shower.
  12. I preferred the Capri Sun Casuals myself.

And a rubbish pundit at that.

I don't know of many teams who are dumb enough to send their two biggest defenders out to cover a short corner! That's just suicidal! They'll certainly get a couple of guys out to them (you would think) but I doubt very much it would be guys who are obviously best placed to stay in the box and pick up the target men. I thought Stratford was sending in some good balls *snigger* the other week. Maybe we could sub him on for corners?

I had completely forgotten about actually buying a ticket for this game! Seems to be a lot of folk arriving late for a "sesh". I'll be arriving in Dingwall around half 11 and sharing a few shandies with some County supporting mates.
  16. I think folk are being harsh on Barrowman with that chance. The ball from Cox (?) was unfortunately just behind him as he ran into the box. He couldn't do too much with it as a result. Given he was only on for a matter of minutes and only had that one chance I fail to see how his performance could be described as woeful. ZING! Game was easy. Morton are garbage. Thought all the guys did well on Saturday. Some slack play at times but it wasn't overly costly but maybe want to iron out a few misjudged clearences, poor passing etc. But on the whole a great performance. I think Foran whines more than Duncan and that's saying something! He was an excellent foil for Rooney and had some great set up play. Rooney took his goals very well indeed. I thought both Sanchez and Imrie supported the attack well. There was still very little creativity coming through the middle but with both Dougie and "Juanjo" out wide then maybe that won't be too much of a problem. I did notice the swapped quite frequently during the game as well and Danni often came infield to try and start something through the middle. Despite some static defending for Mortons goal and a feather weight punch from Esson in the second half I can't say the defence looked too troubled at all to be honest. All in all a very happy day to be an ICT fan - for once!
  17. Good point Gary. I just had another look at your back line there and noticed Dods and realised I got myself in a complete muddle over the players and when they came into ICT. My favourite backline would have been... Brown Tokely Munro Caff Golly ...from the days of the title winning SFL1 side. Of course Dods came in over the summer along with a returning Hastings, both signings which at the time didn't really get the fans excited, but what important players they turned out to be. Whilst I don't know the comparison between your favourite back line and mine I would say both are excellent ones but I must admit to having a preference to my one. Many memories of Golly and Tokely thundering down their respective flanks to support our marauding attack. Good times!

    McCann is a left winger.
  19. Scottish football is garbage. Our teams, both domestic and on an international level, just aren't that good. The sooner people realise this and accept it the sooner folk can stop getting so uptight over losing to the likes of Macedonia in the odd game who are about our level anyway. Always good to see the Old Filth getting reamed in Europe of course.
  20. I would have taken an "at the top of his game" Golabek over Hastings.
  21. Clearly you need to familiarise yourself with the concept of irony. I would say it highlights how daft they are being hence a daft chant. I noticed this week somoene who started berating the team when they were 2 - 1 up and a slack ball led to a Morton throw in on the half way line. A shout of "S***e Caley!" came from this guy. I guess he obviously saw a bigger threat than we did from this dangerous half way line throw in. Your point about not getting on the players backs is interesting especially when you say... ...this is of course the same Section G who boo our substitutes, shout abuse at our back up keeper and after one defeat talk about throwing season tickets on the pitch*. Doesn't sound like a real supporter to me. *I should point out this isn't the majority of Section G as I know a lot of the guys in there and they are indeed good lads who get right behind the team. That post is so full of self importance it would make an Old Firm fan blush.
  22. As Top 6 says the lets all be negative was a sarcastic chant aimed at people who started getting on the players backs after wee mistakes even when we were winning. Something the home fans appear to revel in doing. Seems to be easier for them to criticise the team than get behind them. This is why we were saying Lets All Be Negative!
  23. Who was the referee?
  24. Well done Hearts. Are the highlights online anywhere? I need to see this tackle. I am about to play some total glebe in my Sunday league game this weekend and if what I hear about this tackle is correct I fancy studying MacManus's technique. Oh, get it right up you Celtic! :)
