ICT -V- Dunfermline : matchday thread
I'm sorry, are you suggesting that instead of being positive about possibly getting promoted the club should have said something along the lines of "Come follow us as we aim for an admirable mid table finish in our first season back in SFL 1"? I bet that would get the fans rushing to renew. How you can blame the board for trying to be positive about our chances of bouncing back into the SPL in an effort to drum up season ticket sales is beyond me. No club in their right mind is going to downplay their chances of getting promotion in such a situation as ours found themselves in.

I know you seem to be "Anti everything ICT" at the minute but that is bizarre even by your standards. Obviously the club can't get back into the SPL without funds and the help of supporters hence the heavy advertising campaign to get people to buy season tickets to back ICT in their quest to do this.

Photos up Caleyjags.com. Why were we playing in red shorts? Did we sell our normal shorts to pay off Niculae?

We sell more season tickets - club gets more money - TB (or whoever the manager might be) gets more cash to spend - promotion chances (in theory) boosted.

Player Of The Year Poll
Makes more sense giving Proctor 5 points than handing them to Imrie!

Niculae Court Case
I tried to start some Marius Niculae chants today. No one seemed up for it.

Link works fine for me. This bit is interesting: Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!

Dammit! I was hoping someone would believe and start off another Anti Butcher / Malpas tirade.

There are rumours from inside TCS that Butcher has noted Renegades 3 - 1 - 3 - 3 formation and is considering trying it out this Saturday. Expect Djebi Zadi to return on the left wing.

Our Defence
Not in the SFL no. In the SPL yes. But he wanted to get intot he national team and he didn't see that happening playing in the 1st Division. We couldn't afford to keep him on anyway.

Raith -V- ICT : matchnight thread
I would love it if he had just replied with a letter saying: "Dear Mr. Chibber, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Yours sincerely, Mike Smith"

It's a question of respect!
Also Ferguson was also given time by the club to get things right. A lot of our fans don't want to give Butcher that time but instead want instant results on a meagre budget - something that is highly unlikley to happen at ICT almost regardless of who is in charge!

Whilst this is the case I reckon I could go and manage Man United or Real Madrid and get them pretty high up the league simply due to the calibre of players they have. Tactics will get you so far but having a good standard of player helps no end. Sadly that isn't the case at ICT due to a slashed budget.

Or, and this is totally out of the blue, the Home support actually support the team instead of booing them after one mistake? Getting behind the team can work wonders but unfortunately the Home crowd prefer to chastise and berate our players instead of actually getting behind them.

He has a extortionate transfer budget to play with. Butcher has possibly the smallest budget of the last few ICT managers to work with. Compare chalk and cheese much?

And on top of that some of these players were picked up from other teams youth set ups because they either weren't good enough or the club in question had to disband their youth teams. Brewster and Christie can hardly be credited with bringing them through.

It's pretty obvious what I am "on about". What promising young players did Christie and Brewster bring through out of interest? :afro:

:P I am well aware of this. Hence why the post says: This is the first time since ICT were formed that we aren't in the SPL or at the top end of whatever league we might have been in, playing well and winning games. As soon as the team starts to struggle some fans threaten to chuck it all in. I don't find the current run of form pleasing but some of the attitudes from people on here are more suited to those following the green and blue halves of Glasgow. What is deliciously ironic is that one or two of them recently slated other fans for not getting behind the team and supporting them yet they are the same ones wanting to throw their season books on the pitch at Dunfermline

Indeed. It's quite a bizarre comparison to make. Just be thankful Derek Adams isn't our manager. He would have jumped into the stand and battered the fans.
