  1. I liked Bayne as well. he was the perfect foil for Brewsters long ball game. Scored a belter of a header v Aberdeen once as well. He seemed to bend his head back and around the ball to score. As for players coming in I think we need an experienced forward, a (cover) right winger, a central midfielder, a left back and perhaps another centre back. I think we should look at moving Cowie infield and try and get someone else to play on the right (not Imrie!). Cowie did all the spade work for Rankin at County and perhaps Black and Chipper could work in a similar manner? As ICTChris points out elsewhere, all our strikers are under the age of 23 and we badly need someone experienced in there, dare I say it, a Jim Hamilton type figure. I would also like to see moves made to recruit another central midfielder. Black has done well this season and if Cowie stays on the right then we need someone else in there with a goal scoring touch like we had with Rankin who made a few chances and took some as well. We miss him badly. Finally, our defence needs tightened up. Losing two goals to a team renowned for barely being able to score is an indication of how poor the back line is right now. McGuire has not impressed me and while Duff has done well I think we need a Dods style person in there alongside Munro to help out. Hastings also needs to have someone going after his place to get him to raise his game. And this is of course assuming that Black and Cowie don't leave in the transfer window...
  2. A lot of the players lost their respect for Brewster a long time ago.
  3. Was McGuire fit? He had a 5 yard start on Dorman who bulleted past him for the first goal :o
  4. I've said this already this season and no one else seems to have picked up on it apart from you! :thumb04: I think you are right - it's about 4 or 5 goals now.
  5. There was some chanting apparently but those that were chanting "anti Brewster" were told to "support the manager".

I disagree. We are worryingly consistent at this moment in time. What positives have the Home support (and you could probably include Away support) had to cheer over the last 12 months?
  7. Just received a text from TWS "If Brewster stays we are goin down. Guranteed!" (Authentic spelling errors too )

Our current set up and fan base has seen us vie for Top 6 positions in the last few seasons with us only missing out by a point or two and now we are looking likely to be locked in a relegation battle. Teams around us have caught up with us and are beginning to move ahead while we are falling behind both on and off the pitch.

You can point to that all you want but the fact is we are losing to another relation rival and currently (as things stand with other results) sit 3 points off the bottom of the league. Spin it as much as you want because we all know how "Pro ICT / Brewster" you are but the fact of the matter is 1) that it is not a comfortable position to be in and 2) we are on such an awful run it is hard to see us pulling significantly clear of Accies and into an area of safety. We can't rely on them to be like Gretna and Dunfermline in previous seasons because they are better and we are a worse team than we were then.
  10. I don't understand the change from 4-5-1 at Home to 4-4-2 Away especially given that Brewster was only recently saying that this formation works so well for us on the road.
  11. Dorman for Mirren.
  12. I am Craig Brewster.

*Inverness Courier* Talks of the falling numbers going to Away games, the United game attracting a crowd some 10 - 15% lower than the same fixtures last season and some Brewster quotes we've seen before.

*Second Offer to Black* Interesting paragraph in there about MacKay apparently touting Blacks services to other clubs.

Not sure they sold it all for the Monday night game we had against them. Only a few short of capacity however.
  16. I was going to say something similar. Great that they enjoy seeing some of the big names (I assume you mean the big players of the OF because I can't imagine many youngsters getting excited about Jim Hamilton coming to Inverness ) but surely they want to see an ICT win now and again? If not and they keep coming along great but sometimes I wonder just how many times they will keep coming along loss after loss. As for Barry I'd imagine he will be strongly linked to Ross County now though some Dingwall fans say he wouldn't likely get on with Adams.
  17. I've just read that. What a bizarre thing to say. Brewster must have missed Conway turning in a MotM performance against a defender really struggling to get to grips with his role in that position. Uniteds threats on Saturday came, 9 out of 10 times, from a crossed ball and it was the wingers, Conway in particular, who were having a field day against our (stand in) backs. If St. Mirren have a good left winger then Duff could be in trouble again.
  18. :o I am surprised that Wilson isn't being kept on in some kind of coaching capacity to be honest.

ICT are charging a 10% fee for handling the Aberdeen tickets
  20. 4 - 4 - 2 Esson Proctor (Tokely) Duff (Proctor) Munro Hastings Cowie Black Duncan Imrie Barrowman / Wood Rooney Or: 4 - 5 - 1 Esson Proctor (Tokely) Duff (Proctor) Munro Hastings Cowie Black Duncan Vigurs Imrie Barrowman / Wood / Rooney Is Tokely out?

I would guess that the four clubs are: Falkirk St. Mirren Hibernian Aberdeen
