Home Form
It seems to be one of the remits. Look at the guys Tottenham have had in recently. Also Mijatovic at Real though I think he is more a Sporting Director. He decides who Schuster can and cannot buy.

Home Form
I could do it. I'll just sit in an office and play Football Manager all day "scouting" for players".

Brewster is the man for the job
Wasn't Robbo meant to have thrown a huff when we initially rebuffed Hearts move for him>

GOOD NEWS ALERT
Great news for the lad. Bit of common sense shown at last!

ICT -V- Hearts : matchday thread
We badly need our creative players back. We registered our first serious shot on target towards the end of the game. I like McBain but with him and Duncan in the middle of the pitch we had no one picking the passes to get the attacks flowing. I wouldn't mind seeing Cowie back in the centre. As mentioned to me yesterday (and I had clean forgot) he was a CM at County paired up with Rankin. Maybe Black and Cowie could be used in a similar manner with us?

The long throw
Xander is the only one I could think of that might offer something?

ICT -V- Hearts : matchday thread
Hamilton have shown all those styles of play as well. By all accounts they were playing Celtic off the park. I think the key thing is that teams coming up from SFL1 to the SPL need to grab chances to score in games any time they get them. Hamilton are not doing this and we need to in order to stay ahead of them. Our strike force needs to click for us to do this. This is where the key battle will be. A lot of the teams in the bottom half of the SPL don't have a goal scorer that will get maybe more than 10 goals a season. We had one in Dargo who scored for fun for a long time and we were well clear of the relegation zone. You can see the difference now that we don't seem to have anyone putting the ball in the net with any real consistency.

I don't disagree that I think we will finish above Hamilton. But your post said that they were a one trick pony and were on a bad run which seemed to somehow distinguish them from ourselves. But the same argument could be levelled at ICT. We have seen already that we seem to rely heavily on a counter attacking style of play and don't seem to be able to change from that and are also on an atrocious run just now. Neither of your original two points couldn't also be levelled at ICT at this moment in time.

Brewster is the man for the job
Hi Craig! *waves to Craig* Fully agree. No one doubted his ability as a player so a lot of the post cannot be argued.. But being a good player does not automatically translate into becoming a good manager. Oh, these topics are excruciatingly boring now.

Respect
It's a "well known rumour" that some of the players don't have a lot of respect for Brewster.

Why have you overlooked the first half? All very well saying we were good in the 2nd 45 minutes but what about the first period where we were meant to have been very poor.

Scotland U21 Squad
It's not being turned into a thread to slag off MacAllister It's a fair point Chris has raised. Rory wasn't particularly great last season but made numerous U21 squads. By comparison, Wood, Duff and especially Vigurs have come on a lot this season and performed well so you would think that they would have been called up as a result of their performances.

Ritchie Bryne
I cannot decide who is wors ebetween the two come to think of it. We would always cheer his name if he was starting or came on as a sub. Or boo if he went off. It was as good as having an extra man on your side.

Words cannot express how disappointed I am with this news.

Essons save is top quality. Superb hand strength to keep the ball out. It could so easily have gone "through" his hand.

Handcuffs Celebration
Anelka better watch his celebrations next time he scores a goal...

How much would he have won altogether from that bet?

IF ICT folded........
Perhaps it was becos all the loud mouthed pissheads were at the turnstiles ? :thumb04: I wouldn't follow a Senior team. Might go along and watch Deveronvale, but probably just put most of my time into Scotland. Carry a quote over from another thread?

Arsenal v Man U
I watched this one in the Bobbin. Fantastic game. Right from the off the pace was electric and it could have been 2 - 2 after about 25 minutes. Only some woeful finishing from Bendtner (spelling) and Rooney as well as others kept the score at 0 - 0. Second half was not as good in terms of goal mouth action but plenty of end to end action. Well taken goals by Nasri, particularly the 2nd. Rafaels goal was also fantastic and set up a tense finish. Gary Neville

Wide players
I don't see why this causes such confusion. If a left footed player playing on the right cuts in towards goal against the opposing left back he still has the use of his stronger foot as he drives towards goal whereas the defender is forced to defend on his weaker foot. I think I have my left and rights the correct way round!

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
At Home we are good v Hibs normally. We have had some victories at ER but we tend to be defeated there. Last season we were beaten in the League and Cup there.
