Alan is thinking of Jamie Lindsay who left County for around £250,000 (rumoured).
  2. https://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/2018/09/19/chairmans-question-answer/ Maybe those costs don't include any contribution from the SFA or they are costs after any SFA contributions have been taken into consideration?

That game is a sure fire pick to be moved to Friday night for coverage on BBC I reckon.
  4. The delivery estimate was "late July". https://ictfc.com/2020-21-home-kit-available-for-pre-order-tomorrow AFAIK there has been no update since then.
  5. I seem to recall figures well into six figures being mentioned to meet the "Progressive" level of Project Brave. Falkirk talked about costs running to around £470,000 so they scrapped it without hesitation. It's of course far too early to determine whether it's a success or not but it certainly seems like an expense the club can do without right now.
  6. Has anyone claimed that she had eliminated the virus?
  7. Interesting to hear Hart talk about Brewster having heart rate monitors on the players all the way back in 2008 (or thereabouts) and yet recently Polly had said that he was surprised at the step up in the off the field stuff moving from ICT to Motherwell who had the players all set up with heart monitors and GPS. Whilst sticking this stuff on a player isn't going to make them better and win us the league it seems strange that we have "regressed" in 10 or so years in this area whilst other clubs make strides forward. The bed sheets story was excellent
  8. Yes. Ayr literally signed their first two players a day or two ago and Raith have signed one player. No one cares about Partick. We'll sign players in due course possibly after the arbitration issue is settled. Plus, we don't play until October so there are two months for Robbo to bring players in.

County are extremely fortunate to have a sugar daddy who just write blank cheques to offset their losses each and every season. Throwing money at things is very much "the County way" no matter how much they pretend otherwise. Our losses over the last few years haven't be great but County have lost 50% more money than us in just the last three seasons alone. In the last seven seasons they have lost almost £6 million. If MacGregor wasn't there they'd be absolutely nothing but whilst he is bank rolling them get used to our players happily moving over the bridge some an extra few hundred pounds a week. Not many folk would turn down that kind of offer.
  10. The full kit is in the article.
  11. Read the article and you can see the full strip. There is also a competition to win Sean Welsh's boots right at the bottom of the story.
  12. Might have something soon apparently...
  13. He signed a new deal after we were relegated. I'd surmise that a wage cut was included. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/inverness-caledonian-thistle/1376097/tremarco-agrees-two-year-extension-caley-thistle/
  14. Don't disagree that having a goal getter makes more of a difference to a sides promotion hopes however the chances of us signing a proven one is difficult. We really need to stumble on a diamond in the rough to address that. Also, last season we conceded quite a few late goals (IIRC) which cost us valuable points in games so having a tighter defence helps address that so in the absence of this goal getter we crave we perhaps dig out more 1- 0 wins rather than 1 - 1 draws. Obviously if we could have both a strong backline and a free scoring forward (or two) I wouldn't complain...
  15. Absolute no brainer move for Tremarco. He'll likely get paid more at County (even as a squad player), he doesn't have to move his family, he gets to play at a higher level and he gets to keep doing his football coaching gig that he's started up. The bigger issue for me is why we felt he wasn't worthy of any contract offer whatsoever. Robbo took three years to assemble a really decent team capable of (potentially) getting us promoted only for it to grind to a halt with COVID-19 and then be pulled apart. It's going to be a hell of a task for him to do it all over again. Our entire defence, arguably one of the best in the league last season, is now gone. In its place Harper, McHattie, Toshney and Mckay. Jesus wept.
  16. Yeah it was my fault as I misread this article: https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/international/uefa-announce-transfer-window-measures-which-could-impact-scottish-football-2888217 Hopefully we'll see some moves in the next few weeks to get the fans excited.
  17. Last time I go with what one of The Terrace lads say in The Scotsman Window opens today: https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/coronavirus-joint-response-group-update-14-july/?rid=13929

Charlie Christie picks his Best XI this week. Some names from a good few years ago pop up in this one! Apple Podcasts Google Podbean Spotify
  19. As things stand the window opened on 10 June and runs until 1 September.
  20. The only team in the league making any real signings is Dunfermline and that's because they sold Nisbet to Hibs. Everyone else seems to be very cautious and I think we are hedging our bets to see what league we might be in. I seem to recall Gardiner saying something along those lines? Anyway, we are in a better position than someone like QotS who have three players signed up for the coming campaign.
  21. I think most folk are expecting Queens Park to cigar that league next season given the cash they are flinging around signing Championship players to drop down two tiers.

Do you already have a card? if so you just keep using the same one AFAIK. If you haven't had a season ticket since the move to the smart cards you should get one sent out in due course I would imagine.
  23. Don't disagree there is a lot to be excited about WRT Harper however I find it strange that we didn't even offer a reduced deal to Tremarco given his performances have still be as good as they have been for the last couple of seasons and the fact we struggle to get players up to our neck of the woods anyway. If someone like Brad Mckay is considered worthy of a new deal it's pretty baffling that a better player in Tremarco, despit e his age, isn't offered anything whatsoever. I suppose there is a chance that offering him a contract that is worth almost nothing might be seen to be pretty insulting but I am surprised we didn't try to come to some kind of agreement with him. Yeah I had a suspicion that he would have done but I hadn't found anything with a quick Google when I posted that last week.
