  1. Angus Beith speaking on Sportsound this evening about his injury. Said he first felt problems during a loan spell with Stirling but prior to joining us he had treatment (surgery?) and he looked to be in the clear but it flared up again by October time and it was clear he had a decision to make. Spoke highly of Robbo and how he dealt with things. Comes across as a very mature guy so wish him all the best. Really feel like we missed out on an excellent player to injury.
  2. Anyway... For those who can't make it tonight it seems there is live commentary of the match later on.
  3. That photo of Ridgers' dislocated finger is minging. OFW clearly isn't injured but is there nothing something in his contract that triggers an extension if he plays a certain number of games or he has appearance fees etc?
  4. I'm pretty up for playing the game again TBH.
  5. I should clarify I am not saying he is leaving more that if we are giving credence to players leaving based on homes going up for sale then we're going to have a lot of rumours going on!
  6. I'd be stunned but delighted if he was still with us.
  7. So has Ridgers (allegedly). I don't think we can read anything into house moves as definitive signs that players are coming or going.
  8. If someone of those who attended yesterday were able to do so on a regular basis that would go some way to helping out financially.
  9. No complaints with the result, we just never seemed to get going. Whilst not having Donaldson and Welsh obviously hampered us I don't think it would have made much of a difference. We created almost nothing of note bar the Chalmers free kick which was close as we got really. Losing goals from set pieces is always disappointing. Hearts must have taken about 23 corners short in the first half so I was annoyed that we still were caught out when they did it again in the second half leading to the opener. Trafford flicking the ball on for an assist for the second goal was poor as well. Looked to be at least one of our players in a better position behind him to clear it. And fuck knows what Ridgers was doing when he clattered Ikpeazu though it was probably our best challenge of the day on him.
  10. Bunch of Jessies. We will win this game easily, Hearts are an utter gang.
  11. 11/12 due to putting Stevie instead of Steven Hislop
  12. I’ve said on here before, and maybe the club have tried this and I’ve missed it, but I often wonder about maybe making hospitality a bit more informal from time to time. Instead of sit down meals and bars what about having some local butcher come along and cook up some burgers, have some fun kids activities indoor or outdoor, meet the players / manager before / after the game and make it just a bit more of a thing for every age of fan. Younger fans can play some football with their pals, meet their heroes and get some food, older fans can chat with players, have a drink and also get some food. I’m surely over simplifying things and perhaps I have missed similar events in the past but just thought it’s worth mentioning regardless.

Do you just copy and paste the same stuff about Hughes whenever you get the chance? It certainly seems like it.
  14. No as he was making a genuine attempt to play the ball. The rule changed about 2 years ago to stop the double punishment of a penalty and a red card. I'll draw some pictures for you next time bud.

I'd used it previously to prove an Aberdeen fan wrong when he said Shinnie was a Dons supporter!

He was never at Aberdeen before us. He played for Kincroth or some other Aberdeen boys club before he signed for us at the age of 17 (maybe 18).
  18. Huge win in a quite entertaining game if somewhat short on quality at times. One player who certainly isn't short of quality is Polworth and his superb defence splitting pass sent Austin scampering away and he looked to be clipped by Doohan and from seemingly nowhere we had the chance to go one goal up. Sadly, as is the current ICT style, we fluffed the spot kick as Doran sent a weak shot down the middle of the goal and it was kept out by the trailing leg of the Ayr keeper. Austin was involved at the other end when we failed to clear a corner and Miller sent a fierce shot heading towards goal but Austin was on hand to header away. A few folk around me said it was probably going wide but I'm not so sure. Certainly grateful to have Austin there to keep Ayr out. Doran was next to threaten for Inverness when he picked up the ball on the right edge of the box but his shot was just over the bar although Doohan looked to have it covered. Miller again had a great chance to put Ayr ahead when a cross from Cadden, who was roasting Rooney for much of the opening 30 minutes, was deflected into his path but thankfully he sent a poor header high and wide with Ridgers looking stranded. Then came one of the many goalmouth scrambles of the day. Walsh tried to get onto the ball as it bobbled around in the six yard area but when he did swing a foot at the ball his effort was good enough to beat the Ayr keeper. The start of the second half saw Ayr administer an absolute bodying to the ICT defence save from actually scoring. Almost all the Ayr attacks were coming down the ICT right with a number of low crosses flashed across the goal. However it was Craig Thomson who almost helped set up the Ayr opener when a Donaldson clearance crashed off his back and sat up nicely for Geggan but he pulled a volleyed effort wide. Another goalmouth scramble saw Rooney and Tremarco make desperate blocks to keep United out before Geggan somehow hooked an effort well over from only a few yards out as Ayr started to turn the screw and it looked to be only a matter of time before we would concede especially given that we had lost Donaldson to injury by this point. Almost inexplicably we then took the lead Rooney was felled on the right touchline, Chalmers lifted a ball into the box which was missed by the United defence and Brad Mckay was on hand to score a goal of the season contender from 0.3 yards out. Ayr came right back into the game when McDaid cut inside and sent a low drive towards goal but Ridgers got down well to smother the shot. in the final few moments Moffat managed to create some space in the box but he seemed to hook his effort across the face of goal with no team mate on hand to tuck it away. Something of a smash and grab win for us but, as we've found out this season, if you don't take your chances... I was really impressed with the pace and movement of Shankland, Miller and Cadden and then McDaid when he came on. Rooney had a torrid time at right back and it was only a result of really poor finishing from the likes of Miller and Geggan that we didn't concede about 4 goals. For ICT White had a poor game for the first 60 minutes then turned into a colossus for the final 30 mainly due to having a bit more space to work in as mentioned by Caley Stan above. He went from losing every header he went up for to winning just about everything and linking brilliantly with team mates to really take the pressure off the defence. Austin had a good game as well as did Doran (despite the penalty miss) and Polworth. Huge loss for us with Donaldson going off with what looked to be a knee injury. He appeared in the dugout before full time in flip flops so I am hoping he was just looking to boost early to get a Ryanair flight at Prestwick right after kick off... A word for the Ayr fans, almost never stopped singing and getting behind their team for pretty much the entire game. I can't recall a home support like that this season. Great effort.
  19. Robbo has been quoted as saying they've been telling Trafford to stop flying in to challenges and stay on his feet. He really is his own worst enemy at times. The second challenge was ludicrous - fair enough if the County lad was bursting towards the box but on the half way line? Mental decision from Trafford. *pedant alert* He already plays in the SPFL.
  20. Draper did nothing different last night from what he did when he was with us.
  21. I certainly thought that Draper fouled Polworth a few seconds before Trafford got his second yellow. No wonder County subbed him at the break. I did enjoy that Tremarco challenge on Spence I think it was. Glorious!
  22. When I saw that County line up I was delighted. Absolutely rank. Then I watched in horror for the first 10 or so minutes of the game as we made that rabble look like world beaters. No arguments over the Trafford sending off, he probably should have been sent off for his first challenge to be fair but I felt that Draper was lucky to still be on the pitch before he was subbed at the break. Never a penalty in a million years so I guess justice was done with White missing it. Just such a let down given that County had so many players out and we had close to our full strength team save for Welsh. A real lost opportunity.
  23. The amount of money Championship clubs get from this TV deal is buttons anyway. I'm not sure how accurate the figures are but it's been mentioned that these 1905 TV games are worth about £8,000 to the clubs involved. If that is true it's hardly worth it.
  24. Thought Tremarco was quite poor yesterday and agree with the comments on Brad and Doran / Polly. Whereas most of our players humped the ball forward it was only when it fell to Polworth or Doran that we tried to get the ball on the deck where we are a much better team. Unless Walsh wasn't 100% fit I think the decision to play McHattie in midfield was a poor one as surely Walsh on the flank and Chamlers back in the middle was a better fix to cover for the loss of Welsh than essentially play two players out of position.
