  1. And that's me now fully convinced this is a troll account. Martin Woods. FFS.
  2. Walsh and Donaldson were offered new contracts a few weeks back along with Ridgers. One of them has signed... I suspect next season will be Tremarco's last with us and a move into coaching will be next. He was telling folk at the end of season hospitality how much he loves the club and the area so I can't see him moving anywhere else really.
  3. I see our supporters on social media are losing their heads over this and suddenly decrying him as a garbage player and a snake. Chalmers certainly isn't rubbish but he also isn't the best player going. Nice set piece delivery (corners over free kicks), some nice short range passing and, erm, that's about it. He's okay but that's as far as it goes. Certainly not worth getting into a "bidding" war with County over him and offering the guy silly money. I trust Robbo to replace him. Vincent has been released by Dundee...
  4. Not read the thread and TBH I don't think I can bring myself to. I'm still absolutely gutted about the result. I felt before the game that if we took the lead we'd have a great chance to overturn the deficit but if we lost the first goal we'd struggle to turn it around and so it proved. We really should have bagged a goal or two before that incredibly harsh penalty decision. Excellent spot kick from Clark but as soon as that went in you could see the players heads drop a bit and I don't really blame them. Poor defending for the United second goal really killed off any lingering hope and the third was just cruel but probably deserved for United. By this point you could see which team had benefited from several days of rest prior to the first leg. Most of the ICT players were absolutely burst by this point - Walsh, Trafford and White were all dead on their feet yet kept plugging away (White especially) and put the lamentable effort from folk like Austin to shame. Plenty of effort but not enough clinical finishing / quality over the piece. It's hard to have another contentious decision go against us in a game against United but over the two games we failed to find the net once which speaks volumes. As has been said numerous times this season we can't continue to pass up chances like the ones we missed on Friday.
  5. If there's one thing you can say for sure about what is being posted on CTO just now saying everything is fine is definitely not it.
  6. Definitely not been forced into this no way...
  7. No idea. I'm not overly bothered about all of this to be honest. if people were as passionate about supporting ICT as they are bleating about stuff like this we would have one of the loudest supports in the country.
  8. Remember Ross County wishing us luck in the Scottish Cup?
  9. What an absolutely nothing story
  10. Wlash being out is a blow and where our team falls down slightly. We've got an excellent starting XI but beyond that there is little to deal with injuries and suspensions though I guess McDonald will come in. Cracking player to bring in so lets hope that him and Doran can provide the ammunition for White to set us up nicely for the second leg.
  11. Delighted with this signing. Has good form in the Championship previously for Hamilton, Hearts and Hibs. Suspect this means Austin will be off. ETA: Love Keatings for being brave enough to speak out about mental health as well: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dundee-united-star-james-keatings-12404502.amp
  12. I see the club offer print at home match tickets now. Great for those fans who have been put off by a 50 yard walk to the main stand to buy a ticket before going to the turnstiles. Buy online, print at home and head on in. Easy!
  13. Not our finest performance but as others have said we were clearly playing within ourselves ahead of a potentially very touch schedule so I can see why the players weren't bursting a gut as they might have been if it was a league game. Did get pretty nervous after Ayr scored and throughout most of the game as they created most of the decent (half) chances. Delighted when Donaldson / Polworth combined to seal the tie with that late goal. I think we did handle most of what Ayr threw at us pretty well. McCart again was a stand out for me. He's such a class defender at such a young age. His reading of the game and timing in the challenge is quite simply superb. Get him a contract extension ASAP please.
  14. Chalmers out, Vincent in. There's a rumour for you.
  15. I don't blame him to be fair. Penalty looks soft and White is probably just about offside but I'm happy to take some luck. We are owed it after incidents like the McMullan handball a few weeks back.
  16. For the recent league game a few of us met up in The Black Bull. It's about 15 minutes to walk to the ground.
  17. There is or rather there will be. From the press release: "For those looking to take up a financing option, the club is very close to finalising a deal with Orchard Funding who will be our replacement for previous suppliers Zebra. Please call 01463 222880 for further details."
  18. On Saturday a Dunfermline fan who claimed he was best mates with Kallum Higginbotham claimed that we (ICT) were after him. Today Dunfermline have confirmed that Higginbotham has been released...
  19. Season ticket renewed.
  20. He's away OTB.
  21. We also don't want Donaldson getting a bad injury before we flog him to Ross County.

    Crowds.

If I had numbers for home fans only I would have charted that but you can only go with what is available. FWIW I recall games against Killie in our opening few seasons in the old SPL which attracted round about 4,000 fans. By the time we were relegated these same fixtures were attracting just over 3,000 fans. Whilst the away crowds will have dropped over time (save for Rangers, Celtic matches) our home crowds clearly diminished by several hundreds as the novelty factor wore off. Whatever the make up of the numbers the fact is with the average crowd having dropped by 1,500 in just two years we have missed out on a lot of cash and also support for the team as well (though I accept some of those "missing" supporters will be away fans).

    Crowds.

Not sure what crowds you are looking at though I do agree that the novelty factor has worn off. Currently our average is 1,000 less than the last time we were in this league which is concerning. In fact, our current season average is only just above our average crowd for our 3rd season in the league in the old Third Division.
