With 19 games gone it is time for a half term report: 1) Sitting 4th in the SPFL 2) 8 pts advantage and a game in hand for the top 6 places 3) Have the top scorer in the SPFL 4) 16 pts more than County 5) Nearly double the points amassed by County 6) League Cup Semi-Final place 7) A number of good young players coming through the U20 set up (and some local) 8) A good number of the squad signed up to more than 12 month deals 9) A current squad of players that provide a sound foundation to build upon going forward 10) The club is operating on a solid financial basis Overall rating: B Challenges: Repeating the same level of performance over the second half of the season. All in all though it is maybe not as bad as many of us currently feel it is and with a solid foundation to work on there is still every chance of this being a very good season :-) All the best to all for 2014

Seemingly the Motherwell game will be Yogi's 400th game as a manager - here's hoping he gets a win ;-)

Seemingly Aberdeen have lined up defender Alan Tate from Swansea City on loan until the end of the season and Celtic are after Fletcher from Sunderland for £6-8m. County also keen on Kiss from Cardiff City - think I saw a photo that showed him in the away dugout at the derby game. They have already brought in one already as we unfortunately know.

Not so sure - Vincent would be my target - the only saving grace may be the fact he is currently injured but that doesn't mean he won't go at the end of the season. I get the feeling though if Hibs have to splash some cash they will. A small amount can still get you quite a bit these days in Scottish football if you do your homework well.

I might be getting this all wrong but noises from TCS are we are not bringing players in and we are looking to retain the current squad. Down at Easter Road the story is they are going to bring in some quality players to add to their squad and from the language used I get the feeling some are already lined up. Here's hoping the two are not linked but we definitely need to be looking at strengthening the squad due to more possible departures, injuries and suspensions. It is definitely going to be an interesting few weeks both off and on the pitch that may well determine how this season pans out.
