  1. Piermayr ON McKay OFF ....a long 30 mins now....
  2. Meekings OFF Should have known better - dived in on player for both yellow cards - second one was a stupid challenge so soon after the first one also
  3. Aberdeen look more effective already in the first 5 mins of the second half - good save by Tuffey
  4. A good first half with plenty of chances created. Two contentious hand balls one for each side - on another day both could have been given. The goal was well taken - Tade has battled away well and has won quite a few knock ons. Foran's chance should have put us 2 up and Sutherland did look like he was knicked when he went down in the box at the end of the first half. Only concern is can Aberdeen be so poor in the second half otherwise we may rue some of those missed opportunities.
  5. Big hit by Rae on Tade - deserved that yellow card
  6. From Sporting Life: The Highlanders were dealt a blow before the match when goalkeeper Ryan Esson picked up an injury during the pre-match warm-up and was replaced by Northern Ireland international Jonny Tuffey.
  7. Bench listed as: 25 Mathison 14 Proctor 24 Williams 02 Piermayr 11 Ross 17 Morrison 20 Winnall But he is sitting there so must have been injured in warm up or feeling unwell as he is wearing kit
  8. Foran should have made it 2-0 - pretty weak strike
  9. Esson is sitting on the bench - tv coverage has gone now - must be the weather - it looks pretty miserable
  10. Well won by Tade in the air and MacKay did well to cut the ball back for Tade to roll it into the net in his own unconvincing style - well taken goal
  11. Meester Tade

  13. So ICTFC is worth about
  14. eh....Hibs....still for me the worst team in the league....but sometimes the worst teams don't always get relegated
  15. Note to self: do not invite Joey Barton to any pre-launch events....
  16. George Ross (Preston North End, Southport. Morecambe) - FA Cup runners-up medal 1964
  17. Another.... Andy Morrison (Plymouth Argyle, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Huddersfield Town, Manchester City, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United) - Division Two play-off winners medal 1999 (Manchester City), Division One runners-up 2000 (Manchester City)
  18. Another.... Andy McCombie (Thistle, Sunderland, Newcastle United) - League Championship medal 1902 (Sunderland), League Championship medal 1907 and 1909 (Newcastle), FA Cup runners-up medal 1905 and 1906 (Newcastle), 6 Scotland caps. When he played for Scotland v England on the 1st April at Crytsal Palace there were two Invernessians playing for Scotland - Andy McCombie and Peter McWilliam (both ex-Jaggies). They were also both part of the Newcastle championship sides in 1907 and 1909 and played in two FA Cup Finals together. He had quite a colourful career by all accounts.... http://en.wikipedia....i/Andy_McCombie
  19. Great result for Killie - cracking goal. Still thought Celtic would do the usual in the last 10 but thankfully not this time. Bell was excellent and well deserved MoM.
  20. Billy Urquhart (Caley, Rangers, Wigan Athletic, ICT) - Scottish League Cup winners medal 1978, Glasgow Cup winners medal 1979, European Cup quarter-final
  21. Following the most successful ex-ICT players posts I was thinking about Inverness born players who have gone on to have successful football playing and management careers. Andy Morrison (Plymouth Argyle, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Huddersfield Town, Manchester City, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United) - Division Two play-off winners medal 1999 (Manchester City), Division One runners-up 2000 (Manchester City) Grant Munro (ICT, Elgin City, Ross County) - Challenge Cup winners medal 2004, Challenge Cup runners-up medal 2009, SFL1 championship medal 2004 and 2010 Don Cowie (Ross County, ICT, Watford, Cardiff City) - Challenge Cup winners medal 2006, League Cup runners-up medal 2012, 9 Scotland caps (to date) Any others....?
  22. The recent post on the Caley v Leicester game got me thinking about what other games there have been over the years played against English opposition in Inverness and anybody's memories of them. Below is a list of Inverness team friendlies v English clubs in Inverness over the years that I could find: Highland League 1921/2 Caley / Thistle Select 6 Tottenham Hotspur 3 1932/3 Inverness Thistle 3 Newcastle United 5 1951/2 Inverness Select 3 Crystal Palace 1 1955/6 Inverness Select 0 Leicester City 2 1963/4 Caley 2 Carlisle United 4 1973/4 Inverness Thistle 2 Notts County 4 1976/7 Caley 1 Halifax Town 1 1977/8 Inverness Select 1 Newcastle United 1 1978/9 Clach 0 Middlesbrough 4 1982/3 Caley 0 Leicester City 4 1988/9 Caley 0 Shrewsbury Town 5 (Highland league games courtesy of Prorege post (P&B)) Scottish League 1994/5 ICT 0 Bolton Wanderers 2 2000/1 ICT 5 Mansfield Town 2 2004/5 ICT 1 QPR 1 2004/5 ICT 1 Hartlepool United 1 2005/6 ICT 1 Blackpool 0 2006/7 ICT 0 Sheffield United 3 2008/9 ICT 5 Liverpool 0 More info on the 1921 and 1932 games would be interesting (Spurs were FA Cup holders (managed by ex-Jags player Peter McWilliam) when they visited in 1921 and Newcastle were FA cup holders when they visited in 1932).
  23. 1955/6 - Inverness Select 0 Leicester City 2
