  1. great performance all round and a well deserved win :021: had my doubts about playing that formation at home but it worked out today.it can be pretty painful to watch at times sitting deep defending a one goal lead but on the other hand when we went forward we looked dangerous and played some great stuff so not going to complain. had hibs under the cosh for long spells although they had one of those days when you just knew they werent going to score. good decision bringing bayne on at a point when hibs were turning the screw on us and thats what won the game for us. rankin had a belter of a game and on that form now has to be one of the first names down on the team sheet which is a pretty good turnaround. delighted for nicolae too who gave everything he had and finally got the reward he deserved and for the goals deserved the man of the match ahead of rankin.that'll be a big weight of his shoulders now. look out celtic marius is gonna get you. fraser, another clean sheet, great save first half.enough said. could give a few negatives but whats the point. a 2. 0 win and a great effort .sweet
  2. you still sulking arab man :019: :blah01:

nice one . couldnt remember who it was myself actually! just remember being beaten by another team in our tops
  4. always liked morgan and wouldn't have been unhappy to see him given a good run of games in the team but he hasn't really had much of a chance. always done well when brought on and can consider himself a bit unlucky imo. wish him well

unfortunately if you pay your money you are entitled to boo , cheer or whatever. nothing in the rules about booing. however thats probably because its plainly obvious to anyone with even the IQ of a dead fish that your not supposed to boo your own players/ manager
  13. would be happy with levein, burley or strachan in that order of preference. souness, calderwood, davies and dalglish can gtf. if celtic lose tonight wouldnt bet against strachan been interested but all boils down to money. guys like moyes are out of our price league or sure.
  14. dennis and marius will start sat barring injuries. our best option up front by a country mile
  15. not bitter about it, he's done a great job but has been a bit hasty. could have had his pick of much bigger jobs if he waited.
  16. most fans want levein and i'd be happy with that. could also live with mcallister although that would be a bit risky given his lack of experience. also would be really funny to see eddie thomson lose his manager when he finally gets it right after years of robbing other clubs bosses
  17. i wasn't overjoyed getting brewster back either but he's here and with all the problems at the top we have i have a lot of sympathy for him. whatever criticism we can lay on him i still believe he's as commited as any manager weve had to do what he feels is best for the club and give 100 %. with all the sheite thats going on he's got a **** of a job on his hands and to be honest i dont think replacing him with anyone will solve our current problems. sad to see d p go. you cant replace guys like him easily. however to be honest he should have been shown the door when christie left so brewster had total control to pick his team. what we got was a half measure. he'll be snapped up thats for sure.
  18. how do they work out best runners up if were in a group of five with less points possible than group of 6 ??

booing rory or fraser or any of our own players is a disgrace. absolute morons the same guys who hero worship macdonald whose hardly kicked a ball for us :sillywave: nobody's laughing you little twats

think bernard matthews as got the job.................. he used to working with turkeys
  21. cant understand how anyone can be happy with that today. we were pish. st mirren were all over us for almost 90 mins. weve gone back to playing how we did in brewsters first spell, where we were good away from home and garbage at home. the difference being we now dont have a defence and got lucky today. think the players were confusing st mirren with juventus cos everytime they got the ball, which was a lot, we'd chuck everyone behind the ball and sit in. it was embarrassing against a poor team like them to do that at home. anyway we got the 3 and if we could do that every week playing like that i'd take it, but we wont cos we were lucky. on the plus i thought defence was improved and proctor looked ok but we were playing mirren.was good to see rankin again although its probably just to put him in the shop window :008:
  22. that was a feckin embarassment in the north stand today. fraser had some poor kicks in a game where he played pretty well and kept a clean sheet. those who booed him etc are a joke. feck off somewhere else. same goes for booing rory regardless of how frustrating he's been. dont give a monkeys about frasers v sign. id have done the same. feck off
  23. unfortunately johnboy im old enough to remember his playing days well and great player he was. just not for me as boss but hey ho
  24. Forget his spell at Aberdeen as an inexperienced manager - a job that also made the man that most ICT fans think was our best ever manager - look bad .... and instead look around at some of the message boards for other clubs he was at since then ... like Villa, where the fans are very positive about his influence and impact. one quote (from a profile of him on the VillaTalk website) .... "David O'Leary sees Aitken as a key reason for Villa's rise up the table with minimum resources! It is certainly clear that the Scot is very much now tied up in Villa and every ounce of passion goes into his match day work and work behind the scenes. He is very much a catalyst on the European march. When O?Leary took on the job as Villa manager he insisted that Aiken would join him ? despite talk that it would be Brian Kidd joining the Irishman at Villa Park and not the fiery Scotsman. His worth to a management team is clear to see ? and Leeds fans? blamed a lot of O?Leary?s last season at Elland Road, where the team failed to produce the football it could on Aiken?s ?demotion? after Brian Kidd was employed." I remember going to Scotland games in the era both before he was captain of the national side and somewhat of a backup player, and also when he was captain of both his club and his country. The "Bear" was one of those players who was never the most skillful of players but his leadership qualities have never been in doubt and he captained the nation in 26 of his 57 international games. I think he would do better as national manager than he would as a team manager primarily because he has a record of getting the best out of players whereas some managers at club level (Souness?) rely on buying their way out of trouble. Incidentally, to bring it back to a (very loose) ICT connection .... his solitary international goal came from a header in the match that marked Kenny Dalglish's 100th cap ... a 3-0 victory over Romania in 1986, and his final game was against the same country in 1991 (which we lost 1-0). I dont think Marius Niculae played in either though ;) Having said that - I am more than happy with McLeish as manager and Watson and Aitken as his assistants yeah his influence and impact at villa may have been good, as it probably is with scotland, but he wasn't villa boss and they didn't think highly enough of him to offer him the job. he's a decent backroom team member who i'd be im happy scotland has in that capacity and that capacity only. would be staggered if scotland even thought of him as manager should mcleish depart. but with any luck we wont find out
  25. it would definately ease the pain somewhat for not going to the euros. also a big money spinner. will be amazed if it doesnt happen now
