  1. Orange do have mobile broadband but the package I'm talking about is home broadband through your telephone line.
  2. Orange have their own equipment in the Culloden exchange so you'd probably see an improvement with them.
  3. The important thing to remember here is that we can't actually do anything about the root of all the problems at the club because he's officially not accountable for anything. This is a man who relinquished the chairmanship, but not his controlling stake in the club so he could be "out of the limelight" I think was the term he used at the time. Ultimately, our club is slowly but surely being killed and there isn't a sodding thing any of us can do.
  4. McBain.
  5. See what happens with a brand new hub. If that doesn't cure your problems, phone them up - ask to speak to a supervisor or manager and tell them that if service doesn't improve, you'll be letting OFCOM know about this. ISP's s**te themselves at the mention of OFCOM.
  6. Not buying this pish about "a thankless role" - and let's be honest here, it's just plain pish. It makes me wonder just how much some of you who trot that out actually know about football. Because if you actually make a point of just watching Duncan during a game, he doesn't do anything. Sure he might get the occasional tackle right but then after he gives the ball straight back to an opponent 5 yards away with a "mis-placed" pass - he then has to run like hell after the ball to make it look like he's working really, really hard. Duncan is f**king attrocious and isn't fit to polish the football boots in the changing room. His whole "contract saga" a while back made me want to vomit.
  7. Short of someone winning the Euromillions, Savage is our only hope. He'd be a fool to keep Grassa as DoF though.
  8. Not buying this "aww poor Butcher" route you're going down here. There's a f**k of a lot more he could be doing. Like: How about playing 2 strikers from the start? How about playing Sanchez behind the strikers? How about dropping Eagle, Duncan and Bulvitis? How about fining players that don't perform to an acceptable level? How about listening to the fans instead of telling them to f**k off?
  9. It helps if we have a team we can get behind. I left todays game feeling like I couldn't care less. We're getting the same attitude from the majority on the field and in the dugout.
  10. :( Aye, good one.
  11. Anyone else missing Rory McAllister? He's scored 8 goals this season apparently.
  12. The sooner that folk realise that the board don't have a say in anything, the better. The real genius behind the current state of affairs is David Sutherland. Anyone claimed that lottery ticket yet so we can buy the c**t out?
  13. Anyone still wish to tell me that I'm not a "true fan" and that we should be giving dross like Duncan, Bulvitis and Eagle a bit more time to gel? Butchers determination to play his signings is getting a bit tedious now. For an ex England superstar defender to not see our defensive frailties is unacceptable. We can't deal with crosses, long balls, or Stewart Kean cutting inside it seems. Stewart f**king Kean for f**ks sake!!! I can almost forgive Bulvitis and Eagle for being a bit s**t but not Duncan. Duncan has been here for how many years, and still can't place a f**king 5 yard pass to feet. Russel Duncan, I hope you're reading this because you're a f**king disgrace. End of rant, roll on our 1-0 victory away to Raith and then getting horsed at home on Saturday again.
  14. That'll be the West Coast waking up then? :029:
  15. Wednesdays memory usage is insane!! But if your hosts are claiming they can't see what's going on from those graphs then it's time to change hosts. Still seems faster than normal for me here (at work) though.
  16. The site this morning seems to be back to normal service - and dare I say it... Perhaps even a little faster than it used to be?

    Team for Queens

I'd like to see us line up with: Esson Proctor Tokely Munro Golabek Ross Cox McBain Hayes Foran Barrowman Drop Bulvitis for crimes against defending. Drop Duncan for crimes against passing. Drop Eagle for crimes against er.... winging? Also drop Sanchez because I think he will provide more coming off the bench for Cox, leaving McBain to hold the midfield together and Sanchez playing just behind the strikers. With a bit of luck we'll see a convincing performance and a win, but I'm not holding my breath.
  18. Noticed that as well. Given the light source above the door, I think it's likely to be a reflection. Looked remarkebly similar to my immature days when I used to direct sunlight into folks eyes off the face of my watch.
  19. This. Also for the "extra-curricular activities" he chooses to partake in.
  20. Tiscali are the single worst provider I have ever had the mispleasure of dealing with. Even worse than AOL IMO. Last night (while I was actually browsing this very forum) Tiscali must have cut my account off. My router keeps trying to connect but cannot authenticate with their servers. Their customer support couldn't be less helpful if they tried - "It must be your router sir because I can get a signal right to your modem." - Which I know is bullshit because the modem I use is not the end point - the router is. With my contract with them running out on the 10th, is it likely that I can just tell them to go f**k themselves and give me my MAC code or am I actually going to have to wait until the 10th? Edit: After two very angry phone calls it appears I'm reconnected again. Amazing what threatening them with OFCOM does!
  21. An in-place upgrade or a clean install? If it's an in-place upgrade then I'm not surprised you're having problems.
  22. After Oct 22nd, there will be an installable XP environment using Virtual PC for those that don't like making a big jump.
  23. Well yes I guess the lust for a quick buck would have been their fuel for it. What I'm most impressed with is the 32-bit backwards compatibility in the 64-bit version of the OS. When I tried Vista x64, I had to spend weeks tracking down drivers that would work. For example Creative only had the correct version of the driver for the X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card on their Turkish site of all places... So far the hardware that hasn't been picked up automatically by Windows, drivers have been plentiful and 32-bit software installs perfectly to an x86 Program Files folder. In short, to say I love it is an understatement.
  24. Not long now until Windows 7 goes for "General Availability". I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 RTM on the following system: Intel Core i7 920 overclocked to 3.2GHz (core temp is around 35 degrees so I'll be pushing it as close to 4GHz as I can) 12GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM 500GB HDD with 16MB cache (As soon as Ghost 15 is released I'll be transferring the image over to a 1TB 32MB Cache HDD) ATI 2900XT (Soon to be a NVidia GTX285) All based on an Asus Rampage II Extreme. 30s boot time (to a usable desktop) I am extremely impressed with the final product. I've got over my initial dislike of the quicklaunch icons - I actually prefer them now. Microsoft need their head banged against a desk and asked "why did you bother with Vista when you had this in the pipeline?"
