  1. Ok it's Skype that's doing it then. What browser are you using?
  2. Do you have any VOIP software installed like Skype or Vonage? There's probably a setting somewhere in your browser dedicated to it that sorts how phone numbers are displayed.
  3. We're as good as f**ked I fear. If we stay up, it'll be entirely down to Butcher. If we go down, then heads must roll at board level. Next Saturday is not going to be a pleasant experience.
  4. Black and Hart are totally different types of players. Also the suggestion of Tokely being a better replacement for Black is even more laughable. Tokely can't hack it at right back anymore let alone centre of midfield. Centre back is the best place for him.
  5. Just a hunch here, but because the ref was woeful? Other than the red card he never gave us much at all.
  6. Can you post the programs? Also download and run Spybot: Search and Destroy.
  7. I am of the opinion that Imrie is f***ing woeful. That said however, he is not alone in this category. I'm pretty certain he'll never get his "dream move" to ra peepil, certainly as long as he continues to play like he is. His little tantrums in front of the North Stand were cringe-worthy - if he'd bothered to look up, he'd have seen two options for cutting balls back and creating a goal scoring opportunity. Instead he'd rather waste the ball into the side of the net. He needs dropped and he needs dropped soon.
  8. I wasn't aware that Arderseir had an Exchange!
  9. As CaleyD has said, it mostly depends on how far away you are from your exchange. That and what providers have LLU in that exchange. A provider with LLU will always provide a better service than one using BT OpenReach.
  10. The best provider in the area is actually Orange at the moment as they have LLU enabled in both of the Inverness exchanges. Tiscali are horrible, it's taken me months of angry phone calls to get them to provide a reasonable speed - to give you an idea of the scale of the problem: I live 2mins away from the Culloden exchange, my router sycs at 8.1Mbps, off-peak is great - at times speed tests have shown I'm even getting 9.5Mbps downloads The problems used to occur during peak times - download rates of < 500Kbps. After my latest angry phone call to them though I mysteriously seem to be receiving a consistant 4Mbps during peak times... Avoid AOL, Tiscali, Talk Talk & BT (they do a lot of speed throttling and have download limits)
  11. I'd bring it up with your ISP who in turn - should take it up with BT. Unfortunately, if you go to BT direct, they'll just shrug it off because they're not your provider. Just explain to the Tesco Tech Support department what's happened and if they know their stuff, they should realise that it's an issue for BT Openreach.

Windows 7 will be good when it's eventually released. It really depends on what you want from your O/S. XP is infinitely better than Vista in Server 2003 domain environments, to coin a phrase from Mr Jobs, XP "just works" in the workplace. Vista on the otherhand, is the better choice for home use although it is rather resource hungry - if you know what you're doing with it, you can get rid of a lot of the fancy bits and you're left with a really good, functional operating system. Windows 7 will poop on both from a great height when it's release for both home and office use though.

:thumb04: Still, got to laugh at Apple fans. Steve Jobs sure knows how to sell computers that can't really do anything at inflated price to those that think they're buying into a "lifestyle choice"... :018:
  14. Even with all of the code blanked with the # key, when the file is called .htaccess it just will not display the page. I get a permanent error 500 I just don't get why it's doing it!
  15. OK - here's the latest thing. The htacess.txt file. I just can't wrap my head around it. What does it do and why does it cause so much grief? Ever since I renamed the file to .old my site performs much, much better and it minimises the Error 500 occurances. When I rename it to .htaccess, I get a "could not connect to database" error. Is it a good idea to just leave it as a file name that can't be referenced like .old - or should I put it back to htaccess.txt and figure out what it is in the file that's causing so many problems?
  16. XP SP3 is an accumulation not only of SP1 and SP2 but all the hotfixes and patches released since SP2. AFAIK SP3 was not going to add any functionality - You can download white papers on SP3 in various formats from Microsoft Best to keep it installed really. Without it your Windows installation is not up to date - and therfore vulnerable to security exploits.

  18. I don't think Rosscoe's got the fitness to play at right back anymore. He was almost like a different player yesterday! Rosscoe + Pavels at centre back is a great shout. Now that just leaves the full backs as a problem area. Zadi is shocking - He should go back to the German amateur league or where ever it was that he came from. We could all see yesterday why Proctor gets called Bambi. Would the mythical Gathuessi at right back be a better shout? Does Gathuessi even exist? Anyone able to confirm? We need a mass clear-out in the summer. Djebi-Zadi, Proctor, Duncan, Imrie can all immediately GTF. They are simply not needed. We can do without the bombscare at left back, a right back that can't even run, a defensive midfielder who has been masquerading as a professional footballer for long enough, and a... erm, winger?... No that can't be right - he'd need to be able to cross the ball... an attacking midfielder? No that's not right either, because he'd need to be able to beat his man... a striker? no he'd be able to finish... I give up, does anyone have any clue what-so-ever about what it is that Imrie brings to the team, other than the ability to run about a lot? I've heard a lot of people give McGeady a hard time for being all flashy moves and not much end product, but FFS people, Imrie doesn't even have the flashy moves! He's living off the feckin free kick from Tynecastle now! When Munro was left to marshal a line of 2 or 3 did anyone else notice that his distribution actually improved? He was taking touches and finding passes, rather than just not thinking and putting his foot through the ball. In a relegation tussle, no ones position should be a certainty - not even the captains. It is for that reason I urge Butcher to consider his ultimately better options when choosing the defence for the next game.
  19. Cheers Scotty, got the banner up now. Unfortunately the a:link, a:visited a:active & a:hover seems to change the colour of the links to the actual forums as well. Might just need to keep them black I think...
  20. OK I've got everything back in place. I think it's the "Make "conf_global" un-writeable" tool in the Admin section that was causing all the trouble. No idea what it does but I'm not pressing it again. Seems I've got to grips at least with the easy CSS colour changer bit in the Look and Feel section. 2 more things to do with appearance, and then I'll be happy with it though. First off; how can I make the user links at the top and also the stats links appear white? I've tried changing the font colour and it's not doing anything to the links. Secondly I'd like to make a jpg appear below the user links bar but above the navigation - is this possible? Edit: to add screen shot with annotations to show what I mean...

  22. I wasn't using the Joomla link. I was going straight to the new subdomain where the forum installation was. Surely if it was caching, it wouldn't do the same thing in a different location? I've deleted the new installation again but this time kept the database, so when I get home tonight I'll upload it all again - and I won't be running any of the tools this time.
  23. I think I've got it sussed - but not 100% certain. The way I had it set up in a folder was bugging me so I set up a new subdomain and uploaded it to there and installed it on a brand new MYSQL database. First thing I did was logged into the admin CP and ran all the tools in the admin tab. After this, the new installation does it again. Looks to me like it's one of the tools that's doing it. Any idea which one would cause that to happen?
  24. Did this site encounter any issues with IE8 when it was released? The Joomla part of my site displays ok in IE8 but it's almost as if IE8 can't read the IPB part of the site. Ok it's doing it in Firefox as well now Screen shot of what's going on below: Any ideas?
  25. Who ever it is that sits at the back of section E and shouts stuff like "No no no! That's not how we do things!" is a character. As is whoever it was that shouted "Shutup!" after sitting through 85mins of that at the Kilmarnock cup game.
