Credit where credit's due
I have taken the stats of the following teams: ICT, St Mirren, Falkirk and Kilmarnock from the beginning of 2008. Not the beginning of the season as I may as well post the current SPL table. In the intrests of fairness I did not include Hamilton as they were in a different league at the start of 2008. Link I have not yet updated the table to show last weeks results.

A view many do not share on here, myself included. It is exactly that kind of attitude that saw Brewster get reappointed.

IF ICT folded........
Watching Scotland/other national team is a given but as far as club level goes I wouldn't "follow" anyone. I'd watch the games that have the potential to be a real spectacle but other than that I wouldn't go out of my way to see any particular teams games.

Reason 1. We have often under-performed post-safety Reason 2. Squad changes That's a ridiculous statement to make. So because poor performance is the "norm" once we are mathematically safe, we should just accept it?! Should we all just be happy that we are in the SPL at all?... Clearly us fans have no reason to feel unhappy. Brewster for Prime Minister...

Team for Falkirk
------------Esson------------ Proctor Duff Munro McBain Cowie Black Vigurs Imrie -------Rooney Wood-------- Playing 4-5-1 at home is suicide.

Credit where credit's due
The only reason (note singular) you've stated are changes in personnel. We've lost 3 strikers. We've signed 1 striker with potential, 1 work-shy striker (from what I'm told), an excellent goalkeeper and a poor excuse for a footballer. As I interpret that, we should arguably be doing worse than last season. If I take 2008's stats and compare them to every other teams 2008 stats, I fail to see how the comparison is unfair.

Credit where credit's due
So let me see - that means that the teams round about us have been doing a lot better than we have does it? In a word - Yes. We have taken 0 points from 18 games this year so far. St Mirren and Falkirk have both only lost 13 times in that same length of time. If you can't understand why that consitutes those teams doing a lot better than us in the same period of time then that's frankly, not my problem. You think it'd be acceptable to field exactly the same team and use the same tactics at home against Falkirk do you?...
-
Credit where credit's due
Reality check: - In the last 10 months we have lost 18 times. An abysmal record compared to the teams immediately around us. - Brewster is directly responsible for the team he picks to play on matchday and the tactics he chooses to employ. Too many times I have seen the long ball being used, if that's not in the tactics, it's about time he dropped those who use it. - Before Park left, we were a respectable team and other teams did not look forward to playing us. Fast forward 10 months and we have Malky in place most teams relish the thought of picking up points at our expense. It's clearly going to be a tight season and I don't particularly want to rely on flukey wins to see us clear of relegation.

Credit where credit's due
Credit where it's due, the players did well. A fantastic and unexpected win - special mentions to Esson and Vigurs from all accounts. As a side note, when was the last time a goalkeeper in our colours saved a penalty?... As for the real issue at hand here: Brewster must go. What odds on him fielding exactly the same team as Saturday against Falkirk at home?... I rest my case...

Fraser Dropped - Courier
I take it from these remarks that you would have made no changes to the side which got thrashed last week. I've never been pro Brewster, but in your eyes (and many others to be fair) he can do no right at all. He would have been pilloried by many on here if he had not changed last week's team. So what is he to do? Shades of Catch 22! The only right thing Brewster can do is hand in his resignation.

Call me cynical, but I know what I'd put my money on...

Brewster hits back at officials!
Brewster blaming everyone but himself, who'd have thunk it?... Here's Munros thoughts: Link IMO this is more pish to the tune of: "We should just be thankful we're in the SPL and that's that." A statement that includes that, suggests that folk expected something from Ibrox be it 1 point or 3. I can honestly say that I know of not one person who expected anything other than a decent effort and in the end, we didn't even get that. I have never criticised Munro as I believed him to be the right choice for the captaincy but that statement has earnt a black mark against his name from me. I'm not angry he decided to say it, just plain disappointed.

The January Transfer Window
McGuire and Rory should have gone in the summer. Djebi-Zadi should never have been signed. If Brewster hasn't gone before then, then Brewster should take January as the opportune moment to hand in his highly sought after resignation.

POLL: Time to bin Brew?
Perhaps you fail to notice we have only gained 25 points from this year If the season ran from January to October, we'd be serious contenders for the drop. 2002/2003 - Motherwell finish bottom with 28 points 2003/2004 - Partick Thistle finish bottom with 26 points 2004/2005 - Dundee finish bottom with 33 points 2006/2007 - Dunfermline finish bottom with 32 points The simple fact is a season runs for 9 months. In 10 months we have amassed a whopping 25 points. How you can defend Brewster is astounding... I knew things werent good but that is amazing Those stastics aren't exactly fair, when you consider that there were no league fixtures for three of the 10 months. OK so compare our statistics to those of St Mirren, Falkirk and Kilmarnock on the 2008 Stats thread. The way things stand, we can only hope that Hamilton continue to languish at the foot of the table below us.

POLL: Time to bin Brew?
Since when did what the fans think matter?... As for your second point, that was what I was referring to. A vote of confidence usually indicates patience is wearing very thin.

POLL: Time to bin Brew?
The clubs silence is deafening... I fully expected to hear something today be it announcing Brewsters departure or giving him a "vote of confidence".

So easy to say where the 'Buck Stops'!
You have completely misunderstood the point. If you have a poor manager or just plain don't like your manager, then it is highly likely that you are not going to perform well for them. As far as whoever your manager answers to is concerned, it is the managers job to do whatever it takes (within reason obviously) to get you performing well. Therefore the blame lays directly with the manager.

Do you work well under a manager you don't like? I know I don't.

Our 2008 stats
Aye, sorry should have mentioned that.
-
Our 2008 stats
2008 stats for ourselves, St Mirren, Falkirk and Kilmarnock (I feel we are a similar team to Kilmarnock and should be every bit as competetive as they are) Didn't see much point in including the stats for Hamilton as you only need to look at the current table for where they are and how they're doing.

My apologies Chris, I got the impression it was me you were aiming it at. It's true that Brewsters failure at Dundee United has been cited by a few folk, but I really don't think that it is exclusively down to that.

I thought the general consensous was that flunking at Dundee Utd made you therefore not good enough? Or is it one rule for some... I have never cited his failure at Dundee United as an exclusive reason for why he shouldn't be in charge here. The simple differences are Brewster has not once demonstrated that he alone has managerial ability. Our 7 game unbeaten run or however long it was, was orchestrated by Donald Park and not by Brewster. Gordon Chisholm on the other hand, has demonstrated he has managerial ability with far less resources at an inferior level. Given the players we have, I think he would do a grand job up here. Feel free to selectively quote what I have said though

What does that mean? That means it doesn't matter a jot what us lowly fans think, it's up to one man and one man only. The only board meetings that would take place would be to inform all of the yes-men and puppets on the board what decision has been made. This would be the same man that offered Brewster a managers job at ICT before CC had even left his position. That was why Brewster had it written into his Aberdeen contract that if it just so happened that a team were to require his managerial services he should be released at the right price. Despite knowing that the job was Brewsters, the board saw fit to have a poll at a meeting with the fans on who they would like to see in charge at ICT. Nothing but pure spin to make us beleive that there were interviews going on with a "shortlist of candidates" and there was dialogue with Neil Warnock. To summarise, as I have posted many times here before, there is more wrong at ICT than just the management team. The problem goes to boardroom level.
