  1. I'd definitely applaud him onto the pitch out of respect for the job he did for us (aaahhhhh, the Wyness shuffle!) and the way he conducted himself. But wouldn't be clapping beyond his entrance... Once he's out there, he's the opposition. In saying that, I would only ever consider booing him in the unlikely event (imo) that he earned it by sending some abuse our way. Other than that it's 'Thanks Denzil, and good luck (after today of course!)' from me.
  2. Yeeeeeeee Haaaaaaarrrrrr........... You little feckin' beauty! Had that sinking feeling at half time, but what a great reaction to going the goal down. Get on there boys..........

It's almost better when the Beeb coverage goes haywire - it's garbage at the best of times! Did i just hear them discussing 'the team from Inverness'? That'll be us then... At least the news is good. Come on Inverness....!!!! **** - that sounded close! Fantastic saving tackle on Miller by Granty!!!
  6. :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Top post - didn't think anything coming from this game could bring a smile to me face!!!
  7. Can't be that bad if Rossco, Duncan and Wyness were all happy to agree contract extensions this month, can it? But, were they really all 'happy' to sign? I can't imagine Rossco playing for anyone else, Wyness is by all accounts pretty settled and (was!) predisposed to stay, and Duncan hardly rushed to sign. I'm trying not to look on the dark side, honest! I just don't see the collective team spirit that has been one of our major strengths. I also don't think it's exclusively CB's fault that we're not getting results, but he's the one that has to be SEEN to be dealing with the situation, and he's not filling me with confidence of late!
  8. We definitely have the players. Our pre-Xmas run proves that beyond a doubt. I just don't see any evidence of leadership or vision at all. CB has seemingly lost the players. He's definitely lost the fans. Today's post match interview is leading me to suspect he's losing the plot. We need performances that come from unity in the squad and players motivated to perform to the best of their abilities. We don't have a team full of superstars, but we do get TEAM performances that become greater than the sum of the parts. But that requires some kind of leadership, man-management and unity and support from the top down. All the good things that make our club one to be proud of seem to be dissolving in front of my eyes, and I just don't see CB doing anything to stop it............
  9. Can't decide how to rate Dennis's form of late and whether it merits a contract or not, coz he's not exactly been getting much time on the pitch. And how can anyone expect a striker to win matches on his own when the team as a whole aren't performing? But it does seem clear there's a distinct lack of leadership, vision and communication that's seriously affecting the whole club. No one seems to have a scoobie what the ****'s going on, or if they do, they're not telling..........
  10. Feck, feck, and feck again :008: :008: :029:
  11. At least we've created some good chances. Sounds like Marius should have got at least one, if not two, towards the end of the 1st half. Hopefully the lads will come out firing on all cylinders for the 2nd half. Have to admit to a slight sinking feeling though............
  12. D'oh! Could do with nicking one back before half time, although it doesn't sound like we're playing too well so far :029:. Come on Inverness...............get it together!
  13. I reckon both Proctor and Tokely have their points for and against them - most of which have been covered in this thread so far - but sorry, I can't quite believe all the negative stuff posted against Tokely. Tokely's runs up the wing give us an extra attacking dimension. Fair enough, he gets caught out going forward occasionally (ok - quite often then!) but i'm **** sure Roberto Carlos or Cafu didn't cover their own a$$es when they went walkies up the wing. They usually had intelligent cover from midfield to help them out when they went forward. Maybe we could improve awareness as a team to cover these runs. I for one would miss the kind of reckless marauding that seems to wind up so many people.......
  14. Yep - very good point! Agree wholeheartedly. Pressley should definitely have gone too if consistency was in the vicinity! But we should agree to disagree on the Proctor issue though, coz i'm still of the opinion that McDonald was just a wee smidge away from a big fat dive. I will agree though, that once the ref decided to award something it was a no-brainer, and the man had to go. I just disagree with the decision. I may change my mind once i have a good look at the highlights, but my gut feeling remains!

    Black's behaviour

A thing of beauty that turn...........
  16. Hmmmmm............ I know where you're coming from, but i'm not sure how much contact there actually was! McDonald was extremely clever in how he got his body across his man granted, but he did go down very easily IMO. There were a dozen more obvious examples of 'little' fouls not given across the pitch today. And I still maintain that one was touch and go...........
  17. The team was MOTM today methinks :allhail: What a perfomance all round :021: But Marius is starting to look like the player i thought we'd signed in the first place. Touch, strength, energy, vision - the best performance i've seen from him yet. Here's hoping we're only just starting to see his true class..........
  18. Thought Proc had a decent arvo. He's been pretty good during his spell in the side and has helped stabilise things during a ropey spell. Roscoe gave us an extra dimension when he came on today, and was part of one of our most excellent moves with a wee reverse one-two in the corner. The fact that the other mob were tired meant that his attacking tendencies and lack of change of pace :023: were less noticeable than usual. But one player doesn't make a team in most cases, and both Proc and Roscoe play from the heart, and as importantly, for the shirt. Surely the player in posession of the jersey should stay in the team until he no longer merits it :024:
  19. Just back in from a very subdued glasgow hostelry... :023: My matchday companion was a big Sellick fan and even he couldn't gripe too much! Good on you lads - one of the performances of the season. Keep up the good work.... And let's stick it to the jam tarts next week and make it a very merry feckin Xmas :021:
  20. To be fair, Brown did make a terrific save from Niculae, Ike did let one through his legs which had to be scraped from the line by McGuire, and the offside 'goal' was definitely NOT offside. BUT - that save was as good a save as i've seen in a long time :clapping03:, and Proctor was seriously unlucky to be sent off :33: :018:. In balance i feel we deserved the points this arvo. Well done boys. And keep up the good work..........................
  21. Ross Tokely has two speeds - walk and KILL Ross Tokely can win a game of Connect Four in only three moves

    Top men so far

IHE seems pretty much spot on. My personal favourite - Duncan - the man who allows us to tick. Constantly breaks up opposition's moves, works his a$$ off, annoys the crap out of pretty much anyone he plays against, scores the occasional screamer. What more could you want. A spectacularly unsung hero. Cowie - regularly outstanding. Black - doing his thing with a little more controlled aggression than previously. Class. Wyness - a long awaited return to form and confidence...long may it last.
