Season Tickets
I think the shortfall is a combination of the recession and last year's standard of play. It's a shame but its just part and parcel of the times we live in at the moment. I renewed my ticket dispite knowing full well I will miss a lot of games but I can sympathise with families etc struggling to pay for tickets. I'm lucky that I am a young student. I still refuse to believe the "rumours" about the TV deal as there has been nothing to suggest what will happen.

Pre Season Team Bonding
Didn't Pele used to take them to Orkney pre-season, play some pub teams, drink and eat chips?

ICT new home shirt 2012-14
I'm pretty sure I wasn't a massive fan of the kit before the last one (the one we had when we were relegated and bounced back). I got it and quite liked it after a while. This may be a grower.

Ideas to market I.C.T
In notice boards around the town there used to be posters for Ross County games. Could ICT do something along these lines?

Its Dundee ?
For personal reasons I'm quite glad about this. Dundee is another ground easy for me to get to when I'm at uni.

Dear Mr Cameron,
I would like to add my support to Mr Cameron. Although I have never met him from what I am lead to believe he is a very decent guy who has the interests of the club, Scottish football and most importantly the fans at heart. As I mentioned in another thread the club were very quick to address my email over the weekend which they didn't have to do. I feel that as a fanbase we have been listened to recently and while there is no doubt in my mind that Friday's press release was a bad move I hope Mr Cameron and the club can be at the forefront of the re-structure of our game.

The Seer Prediction
I think that is a good outcome. For me the main thing I wanted from the newco was that it would start in the bottom tier. This has been nearly confirmed now. As far as I'm concerned the main job is restructuring the game for the better. If that means that if Rangers are promoted to the SFL2 at the end of the season and the restructuring sees them moved into the second tier then that is fine with me. I think there are too many leagues in Scotland and if that means it takes newco one year less to get back to the top flight (assuming their sucess on the pitch which is in no way a guarentee) then thats fine as long as its done to suit everyone and not just the Old Firm.

Ideas to market I.C.T
What about a link with local estate agents? We may be in a recession but there have been a lot of people from down south moving up to Inverness, what if when a house was sold the buyer was given a handfull of tickets for a family/couple for example for two or three home games. If they use the tickets then we have extra people in our stadium who may buy pies/programmes etc. They may enjoy themselves and appreciate the welcome to the area from the club. If they attend matches in the future or buy season tickets then it is a bonus.

Lets focus on our own club and the football
So newco has been voted into SFL3. Lets deal with it. The club are going to have to deal with it but we have other issues to think about. We have a pre season game today and more to come including a game against Coventry next Saturday. I won't be making either of them but I am keen to see how they go. We still don't have a full squad. We may make a few more signings. We also have young players featuring in pre season games; some of which look promising. Will the new players manage to avoid injuries and gel into a good side? We have the new league season coming up with Highland derbies. It could turn out to be a tense season. We have the league cup coming up soon. Every year I hope for a cup run and I'm sure the club do as well. It could be a chance to get some much needed revenue and some great nights out. We have other Scottish teams playing in Europe. The first being on Thursday night. Lets hope we don't get embarrassed again and we can see other teams making Scotland proud. We have a matter of weeks until the season starts. Lets look forward to that now. I am a football fan and a student, not a political activist.

The Rangers of the North
Again I couldn't care less what other fans say, I have a season ticket and I know I will miss a lot of games but I just want the season to start now.

Emergency Board Meeting?
Not if everyone go running to Clach there won't eh? I can't be the only one who is really getting sick of all this newco pish, yes there's moral high ground to be lost and gained but FFS I just wanna watch some footie. I'm sure in 20 years time people can tell their kids about a team that used to exist called ICT which had 'sporting integrity' coming out of every orifice but sadly do not exist as it had no cash to even turn on the lights. Believe me I am sick of it too. I just want the Scots to start in the Europa League, us to start in the SPL and everything to be fine again.

Emergency Board Meeting?
I didn't read that, or take that view from the statement at all. My understanding is that he views the rejection of the "joint proposal" as being the big issue and the reason why the ICT board need an emergency meeting. At this moment in time we do not know what that "joint proposal" contained or why it was rejected by the SFL. Given that it is described as a joint proposal, then I assume that the SFL were aware of, and had a hand in, producing it, so it would seem strange that it was not only dismissed out of hand, but never got so much as a mention in the post meeting comments. If people want to throw conspiracies around, then how about this for one..... The SFL saw the opportunity to get rid of the SPL and deliver a crippling blow to 10 (possibly 11) of the countries top teams....leaving the door open for them to come in and take control. Would be a rather cunning move, and they can continue to play the "for the good of all 42 teams" card whilst doing it. Sorry Don I may have the wrong end of the stick here. I was refering to the comment you made about the formation of the SPL being the main contributing factor to this whole mess and ICT having nothing to do with that. I do not believe in conspiracies. My concerns lie mainly with the finances of the club and the wording of the statement issued today which sounded worse when read out on the radio than when I read it. Upon reading the statement it doesn't seem as bad as I origonally thought. I do however think that if the club is in serious financial bother then after this emergancy meeting the club should make a statement and keep the fans in the loop, I'm sure they will. There is still some slight hypocracy in complaining about SFL clubs not accepting the joint proposal if it was the financial carrot to allow newco into SFL 1 particularly when ICT voted against newco, but in hindsight it has been pointed out that we do not know what that contained and I still think the statement was unwise. I have calmed down a bit more, read the Highland News article containing the statement several times and in hindsight I think Don is right to hold off on making a statement until we have heard from the club again.

Emergency Board Meeting?
That is a very sensable statement Don, ICT were not in the top flight when the SPL was formed so the initial mess was nothing to do with them. I do however object to our chairman discribing newco being admited to SFL 3 as a sad day for Scottish Football or saying it is the end of Scottish football as we know it. As we know the current system is flawed and I still think it will be changed regardless of todays outcome. The SFA's language tonight suggests that. In my email I gave Mr Cameron the option to address the fans on the status of the club and the chance to explain his actions. I hope the club interacts with the fans and lets us know how grim things are, what they plan to do about it and how we can help.

Emergency Board Meeting?
Just in case you didn't see it in the other thread. Dear Mr Cameron. I feel your statement regarding newco Rangers admittance to Division Three was badly timed, poorly worded and a PR disaster for our club. You listened to the voices of the supporters of the club who opted for sporting integrity and voted against newco’s admittance to the SPL. I feel that your words today have given many fans the impression that you did this on the basis of a sleazy plan to bully SFL clubs into admitting a newco into SFL 1 to preserve a model of football in this country that is now unsustainable or that you had expected SFL clubs to ignore their fans and the principles you claimed to follow with your initial decision. Need I remind you that two seasons ago ICT were an SFL club and we may be in the same position again in the future. The thought of our club having any part in any sort of bullying tactics would be unforgivable in my opinion. While most fans appreciate that there will be certain financial tests over the coming seasons, many people feel “the end of Scottish football as we know it” is not necessarily a bad thing. Personally I would much rather see ICT operate at a lower level as a sustainable club than have the club be a leech and rely on another club being in the same league or indeed money from television companies. I have the upmost confidence that this can be addressed and I urge yourself and the board to share any issues with the supporters. If anything has come from this whole shameful Rangers episode it’s that the fans can be a powerful force in football. ICT has a loyal support and I very much hope you will adopt a transparent approach in what could be a difficult time. Please do not misconstrue this email as a series of accusations against the club or indeed yourself. I am just concerned given that I renewed my season ticket after your statement of intent regarding the newco/SPL vote and I am now unsure of the intentions and direction of the club. We have a chance to change things for the good and make it easier for a club such as ourselves to survive and prosper. The last thing we need is an unhelpful, pointless and ultimately detrimental comment from the club like the statement this afternoon. I would welcome a public response to the fans from yourself to address any of the comments raised in this or any other email you receive tonight or indeed a personal, private one via this email address. Yours sincerely James Proctor

Emergency Board Meeting?
What a PR disaster for the club. Mr Cameron should never have made that statement. If he was part of those that attempted to bully newco into SFL1 then I am ashamed to be an ICT fan. If we can''t operate without another team in the same league as us then I'm afraid we deserve what we get. I would follow ICT at whatever level we were able to operate. I renewed my season ticket after we voted against newco in the SPL. I am glad the right choice was made by the SFL clubs today. I just hope that we and other clubs can readjust and keep going.
