  1. We are a fairly new club and I notice there are fans from all over the place that post on here. The question is how did you all become ICT fans, did you support the pre merger sides or are you a convert from another team. I'm an odd one in that I didn't really take an interest in football until I was in secondary school. I went to a few ICT games when I was younger. My friends in primary school all liked football and I took a vague interest e.g the world cup, football computer games. I wasn't raised to support a side. I would always go Celtic on football games for some reason because a few of my friends liked them but I wasnt what you'd call a fan (believe me I dislike both halfs of the OF equally). . I started getting interested and attending more games after going with a friend and his familly to the 2004 Scottish Cup Semi final. I wouldn't say I was a glory hunter as I wouldnt dream of not following ICT regardless of where they played. It would be interesting to hear everyone elses story.

Glad a few others have mentioned lower league players too, I have to admit the two I mentioned from Arbroath I have only seen bts of (first half of the Rangers game) but their names seem to pop up quite a lot. I don't know how good our scouting system is but they should be worth a look considering they play not far away and seem to be making a bit of noise. Who knows they may see the club as a bit more than a way to get some first team football before dissapearing back to England.

Tade tries hard and we also signed him knowing he was not a proven goalscorer. I just don't really see the point in having players on six month deals unless we are stuck (which we have been this season).

I think the basis of a good squad is there provided we don't have the injury issues that we have suffered all season. I do however think we need to vastly improve our defence, I know there is nothing we can do about it but letting Munro go WAS a huge mistake. Up front is also an issue,.Time after time we have sqandered chances in games. This may be contraversial but I think getting these players in from down south on six month loans is pointless. I would rather we took a chance on guys playing in the lower leagues in Scotland. It seems to work for some other teams, right now the likes of Steven Doris or Gavin Swankie at Arbroath may relish the chance to play in the SPL and could be available depending on their contract status.
  5. To the tune of cherpy cherpy cheap cheap "wheres our money gone, wheres our money gone"" Won't be there sadly so I hope you give them the hard time they deserve, especially if they are singing their sectarian bile.
  6. This actually works out quite good for me as I am working in Dundee then so I can get to the game. I wouldn;t have before because I would be working the weekend in Aberdeen. I can totally understand why everyone else would be unhappy at this though.
  7. Its a shame that the game isn't on Sunday the 5th. That would have been a nice omen for us...
  8. Gives me an incentive to get out of the library early and get my essay done! also to ignore the score and not listen to open all mics.
  9. That is another point. In both cases we lack something in front of goal. Its a fact in football that if you don't score goals you lose games, you lose games you get relegated.
  10. I haven't been at the past few games so I can't comment on how we played. I haven't said much on here recently but I want to give my two cents as to what seems to be going on. I am seeing some worrying similarities between this season and the season we were relegated. In both instances we lack success in front of goal and we are persisting with young inexperienced players (in 2008-2009 we were playing the likes of Duff, Wood and Vigurs). When I saw on Saturday?s team line up that we were remaining unchanged. I feared the worst. As much as I admire Foran?s loyalty to us I fear that he is being kept in the team because Butcher is scared to drop him. I?m sorry but if you are going to have him in the team then do not play him up front. Foran and Tade have managed 6(?) goals between them in a round of fixtures. It clearly isn?t working. We have other options on the bench who haven?t been given a chance. Why did Butcher even bother signing them? I think Tade is a great worker and I admire his passion and commitment but he can?t be expected to carry the burden of getting all our goals. He should be played along side McKay or Sutherland, an actual striker NOT Foran. Defensively it is hard to escape that we let Granty go. I highly rate Hogg, Gillet, Shinnie and Roscoe has calmed right down in recent years. Thomas seems to be the liability that Tokely used to be. He gets booked every game, my namesake can do a job but I wouldn?t be starting him. Last year our defence let us down a lot. This year I fear it could even be worse. Although it has been mentioned too many times before, getting rid of Munro and Duncan was the stupidest most illogical thing we could have done. I can understand Terry wanting to build a team for the future. Who are these young lads supposed to learn from? Even if Butcher wanted keep both of them on the bench their presence as mentors would be very valuable. McBain and Golabek hardly got a game for us in the SPL but in any team you need a mixture of youth and experience. Rooney and Hayes had the guidance of these two. Over the past few months I have tried to justify why these two stalwarts were let go and I?m sorry but it can?t be done. So what are we left with now? A group of teenagers who have not grown up in Scotland let alone Inverness so they have little connection or pride in the area, who know they probably are not going to be here for long and who have few people to instil the ICT passion that got us up the leagues, that kept us in the SPL for five years or even that got us back up first time. David Davis? Twitter summed it up for me earlier on. Your team is bottom of the league, you throw away 3 points yesterday and your last two games have been shocking performances and you complain about being called in? In some work places that?s enough to get you a disciplinary. It certainly doesn?t fill me and other fans with confidence that these loan players are playing with any sort of passion. I can think of plenty of players plying there trade in the Scottish lower leagues who are just as capable as them who would jump at the chance to play for ICT instead of them. I wouldn?t in a million years suggest that we get rid of Butcher because I think he is one of the best things to happen to ICT. I can?t think of anyone who could do a better job. I do think his plans to change the club were too sudden and ill timed and I feel letting Munro and Duncan go is one of the stupidest things he has ever done. If he doesn?t make radical changes to the team line up in the next few weeks then I fear it could be too late for us.

You have no idea how dissapointed I was when I read this thread
  12. Thanks Scotty. The article is about safe standing. I will post a link once its done if anyone is interested.
  13. Does anyone have a list of our average attendances per season since we came to be? I need them for an article I'm writing. Thanks

I would take him. We definatly need another striker plus you arn't at Man United for no reason. Seems to be an unlucky player who could do with a another chance.
  15. We are talking about a part time team here. There is no excuse for losing to a team like that. I accept we have injury problems but these players TB signed were signed on the expectation that they could play at SPL level and as a result see off a team like Ayr United. I am not calling for Butcher's head by any means but I honestly believe that if he doesnt get another proper striker in to fill in the missing link of goals then we are going to be in a lot of trouble. We can't expect Foran, Doran and Hayes to fill in the void and play out of position.
  16. I might as well ct and paste this into every thread. WE NEED A STRIKER!!!!!
  17. I think we have some sort of voodoo curse.
  18. I've been saying it for weeks. I'm sure this wont be the last time I'll say it. WE NEED ANOTHER STRIKER, A POACHER! even if its someone on loan. I'm sure TB can see it. We can't rely on Tade, Sutherland (he has promise but he is too young) and MacKay when he gets back. We haven't even see MacKay play.
  19. Agreed, it seems mad we are playing without a recognised striker up front. Butcher get it sorted!
  20. Proctor replied to CaleyD's topic in Caley Thistle
I think a striker may be on the way too. Hopefully.
  21. We must be worth more than one million surely? All I can say is better the devil you know. I'd hate to see the team fall into the wrong hands. Do the fans not have a large share in the club from the early 2000s?
  22. Proctor replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
A striker may be an idea on loan seeing as how we didn't field a natural one on Saturday. 3 goals in 4 games is saying something.
  23. A believe Niculae's wages were paid by someone outwith the club, we would have made money on the transfer and the European Cup appearance fees. The legal fees for his court proceedings while substantial would not be bank breaking (I may be wrong on this)
  24. BBC Report This report into the financial state of the SPL suggests that only Hamilton and St Johnstone were operating debt free. Mabye I have missed something but I assumed we were also free of debt? Can anyone shed some light on this?
  25. Don't let the door etc...
