excellent article and encouraging ..... sounds like if we put a decent enough contract (wages and length) in front of him he will sign it and his friendship with the other Irish lads will maybe encourage them to do the same. The fact we are going to the SPL again will also be a major factor I think. Please ICT, do all you can do to make them an offer thats hard to refuse .... the rest is then up to the players (and agents).

The simple answer is that it wont happen .... The disparity between cost (quite expensive) and increased income (negligible at best over the season) will see to that. As noted, there would really only be a need for OF games and even these didnt sell out after the initial SPL flush wore off ...... Also - bear in mind that nothing too substantial can go on that side ... someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I think that is because the footprint of a bigger stand would bring the high pressure gas line that runs aong the side of the A9 into play.

On the playing front - lets just let TB & MM get on with it. I think it was proven this season that TB has a gameplan and although it didnt look too rosy around Xmas, the pieces of the jigsaw fell into place and we know the result. For that reason, I am going to say .... get on with the plan (and if it can include as many of this years players as possible - all the better) On the backroom side - I am optimistic. The addition of KC to the Board will hopefully make the rest a 'sunshine band' and we can get back to all working in the same direction. I know KC will definitely try to bring all sides together and make them push in the same direction so I expect less of the insularity we saw when we were previously in the SPL.

I tend to agree - especially when it comes to those in power who have "jobs for life" like Peat. Football is in a sorry state and all of the "blazers" are culpable and should be held accountable. Unfortunately, I also agree that Smith will be (is) the fall guy and the report will quietly be buried in the vaults. I read the link to the Scotsman article earlier in the thread and actually like some of the ideas that Smith was allegedly trying to implement, especially the pyramid scheme ... but the fact remains, he couldnt get it done. I am sure he met with resistance every step of the way - that happens in all walks of life where people resist change - but as man with some intelligence (regardless of what you think of him as a pundit), and with a lot of experience of football in this country as player, pundit and agent, surely he knew that going into the job? Surely he wasnt naive enough to think he would be able to get things done without dragging some of the old guard kicking and screaming into the 21st century? In that objective, he failed, and it is perhaps to his credit that after reading a report that may have not contained content he liked or that perhaps put the blame in the wrong places that he chose to resign. The old chestnut of "personal reasons" probably means we will never hear the full story ...... The fact still remains that the whole of the SFA/SFL/SPL setup requires a revamp and it needs someone at the helm who is respected in world football, is not afraid to take on the establishment, not afraid to speak his mind, and who wont be intimidated by the 'blazers' ........ Could Sir Alex be tempted to spearhead such a task if/when he decides his role as one of - if not the - best managers in world football is at an end?

It has been brought to my attention that some portions of the highlights produced by ICT/CTO/AndyCAM which are licensed for use ONLY on the official site of ICT at www.ictfc.co.uk (we are not even allowed to show it here even though we help to produce it ) have been popping up on YouTube as part of a montage of our unbeaten run / championship tilt. Some of the video has been cropped to try and remove the captioning but there are a couple of places where it can be seen (by me at least) and this clearly confirms that it is from the final videos placed the official site. I would ask the person who did this - if they are a site user here - to please cease and desist as this action is in clear breach of the copyright rules ... It has taken us a long time and a lot of effort to get to the stage where the club are on board with supporting this venture and this kind of action can only have two possible consequences .... 1. The club might pull the plug entirely (unlikely) or ... more likely 2. I will be instructed to overlay a copyright image or message on the video which will mean that you have to put up with a crest or text (or both) over the entire length of the footage. I have no interest in finding out who is "pirating" this footage, just in making sure they stop. I do not relish the idea of reducing the enjoyment of clips by adding all sorts of copyright messages over the action and I am sure most viewers would agree .... so lets self-regulate here and urge the person posting these videos to stop doing so ......

The whole of Scottish football needs a revamp and if this is stage one because his "personal reasons" were that he didnt like what was in the report .... then good !!! I have no axe to grind with GS, but fail to recall any change or improvement he instigated during his tenure nor any lasting legacy he will leave as he departs (other than being a part of the team that appointed Burley, and a couple of controversies surrounding Livi)

Lets just clear one thing up about friend lists ...... they work in a very specific way ...... ANYONE can add any other poster to their own friends list, with or without that posters permission and that name will appear on their own friends list immediately. It will not however appear on the other person's friend list unless they explicitly accept that friend request from within their profile (or they have previously added you). So you might be on my list if I added you but I might not be on yours if you didnt add or accept my friend request and vice-versa. Only "mutual" friends can see any parts of the profile that are marked private (a feature we dont really use). Bottom line - If anyone appears as a name on your friend list YOU added them at some point either manually or by confirming a friend request. YES, we could go into the database tables, search for the correct entry and "hack" it as it has been put but its not a simple task (in the way that adding a word to the word filter is) ... but anyone who thinks they are important enough for us to go to all that time and trouble is sadly deluded or has delusions of their own grandeur. We have far too many other things to be doing on this site and in other projects to bother with that nonsense. In the midst of all this positivity over our recent results and what is hopefully the formalities over mathematically confirming our title win it seems some people cannott just enjoy the moment and be happy unless they are causing ructions .... so now that TB/Team/Board cannot be the focus of these, it switches back to the petty back-biting and name calling.
