I have deleted or moved several posts in this thread ..... Can we use one of the multitude of other threads to discuss the relative merits of our players, to deal with rumours about individuals staying or going, or to berate posters for posting their opinions - whether you agree with them or not !!!!!! This thread - as the title says - is informational and designed to answer the question "Signed/Off/Unknown, Who's In What Situation?". As such we will update the table of players that was posted as and when it is confirmed by the club what the situation is with each individual current squad member. Acceptable comments in this thread are 1. A link to club or media (newspaper/radio) article stating a player has signed. 2. A link to club or media (newspaper/radio) article stating a player is leaving. 3. A correction of any errors made in the table of players. (eg. Caleyrule posting the info about youths) 4. A question for clarification of status (eg. Renegade asking about Bulvitus) Unacceptable comments in this thread - which will be deleted or moved - include 1. 3rd hand comments that this player or that player has signed or been released. If you cannot quote a printed source (ie. URL or media source) it goes in the rumour mill. 2. Comments on how happy/sad you are that this player or that player has been signed/released. It is likely there is already a discussion thread for that ! 3. Getting into a discussion/argument about someone else's off-topic comments that fall into #2 on this list. 4. Anything else (I cant think of right now) that doesnt fit the 4 items listed as acceptable !!!

before anyone mentions it ....... what is online so far is the match highlights. I believe Andy is working on other little clips of the celebrations and when he is done we will get them online too.

My route for info (in this order) is usually NewsNow: http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/...edonian+Thistle P&J (usually a lot of decent coverage online) BBC (adequate --> Good) courier/HN Scotsman/Herald etc online Sun online . . . . and very last, only if there is a link posted or something catches my eye elsewhere ... The Record !!! One of the few instances on the globe where the print edition of a newspaper totally eclipses their online offering which is very poor.

Golly is a good guy who has always given 100% for ICT (both times around). I am glad his performances have reached a good level and equally glad that supporters who may have thought he was past-it have been able to eat their words. Still a few miles left in the old dog yet I hope !

Cant support Scotland ... we didnt qualify Cant support Canada ... they didnt qualify Cant support USA ... too many players I dislike (especially Landon Donovan) so ... my support goes to Nigeria as that is my wife's heritage ... and it has a tenuous ICT link in that they are called the "super eagles" ! When it comes to the USA -V- England, I will be somewhat ambivalent but would prefer an England win !!!

Even though Andy has filmed the latter games, the highlights are copyright to the SFL not the club as far as I am aware so there would not seem to be an issue with dealing with other clubs ... but who knows how the SFL would view it if it was a 'for-profit' venture such as a DVD. Earlier in the season, the filming was done by someone else and I think that was for internal use in training. That was a commercial company so there could be an issue therev as they would own the footage if not the actual match copyright. As far as creating a highlights reel rather than a commercial product - we will see what we are allowed to do and when time permits perhaps be able to squeeze that past the censors :party01:

and the other side of the coin are Ross County & Caley Thistle ..... even Livi before off field admin/ownership issues scuppered them. There are plenty of teams who might merit a place in the leagues moreso than some of the perpetual bottom feeders who have nothing to play for nor any penalties for mediocrity year in and year out. A pyramid structure of some description with promotion and relegation to/from the senior leagues might actually improve things from the bottom up !

Totally agree. 14 is really no better than 12 ... its a rejig rather than a revamp. Personally, I would favour 16 or 18 teams where you play each team twice .. once at home and once away and there is no farcical 'split' towards the end. If you look at the teams in the top 6 or 7 of D1, all of them have either been in the top division in the not so distant past or in the case of QOS/County have shown by Cup results that they can compete with top level teams on their day. If teams are bothered about revenue from losing what would amount to one guaranteed home game against the OF each season then they also have to consider their costs .... how many extra police do they have for that game, how many stewards or other matchday staff ... for a team like ICT where recent OF games didnt even sell out, the NET profit from the games might easily be matched oir even bettered if league reconstruction were done hand in hand with some form of revamped League Cup or new Regional cup competition .... I would wager that a game V County or V Aberdeen would cost less to hold and maybe make more profit !!!!

no. as with last year we will sponsor additional items based on how much is taken in in sponsorship ... the more we take in, the more we can sponsor so go for it if you want additional shares.

Started as my own personal sponsorship many moons ago when we were with rivals.net. As they paid me a retainer, I used some of it to sponsor a player. Over time (once rivals stopped sponsoring us) it changed to a group effort from site users on here and some others in the Caley Inn and latterly the Innes. When I emigrated, Guzz kindly took it over and has kept it going magnificently for 7 years now from a combination of Innes Bar supporters and Online ones. As mentioned above - and echoed by Guzz - I dont think anyone has an issue with how we name the sponsorship and we are happy to go with the general consensus.

Its kinda both .... not everyone who is in the sponsorship group uses the website - there are a few like Big Stew and others in the Innes who are contributors etc ..... What we did last year was sponsor the first part as the "Internutters" and the second piece of kit was named as CaleyThistleOnline.com ...... I am happy to do the same this year or to go with the majority opinion on this if it differs.
